    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
    The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that the company policy on Supplier management is complied with at all times. She/she is also responsible to ensuring that all stakeholders are well managed and supported within set time turn around times.
    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for all accounts payable processes for Unilever Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya third party accounts.
    Ensuring all key performance metrics are achieved monthly including payment on time (POT) 95%, Purchase Order compliance (POC) 98% and first pass yield (FPY) 80% within East Africa as per the Global Unilever policy.
    Management of Key accounts especially revenue authorities and third-party vendors and customers.
    Reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining liaison with suppliers to ensure payments are made promptly and accounts stay current.
    Provide data for working capital forecasting requirements for third party debtors and creditors.
    Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments through use of SAP, DCIW, Coupa and Online banking apps such as Citi Direct.
    Review and posting of overheads costs such as Tanzania Revenue Authority, International travel costs (AMEX) and reclassification for month end reporting to the correct general ledger and cost centers.
    Partnering with Brand Marketing Investment (BMI) Accountant to review Key BMI suppliers and internal orders to resolve payment issues.
    Initiating tax urgent requests (URA,TRA,KRA) and one-time vendor manual payments on share point tool while guiding all users within the business to raise urgent, advance and one-time vendor payments.
    Conducting business support centre (BSC) trainings aimed at resolving all payment issues and DCIW+ invoice management tool workflow for all users within the business at specified locations helping to reduce outstanding workflow.
    Providing information and offering support to different audit requirements which have included KPMG external audit, PWC and Unilever internal audit, internal financial controls assessment and Unilever global corporate audit for PTP function.
    Ensuring third party net position is within tolerance risk levels and working capital requirements by offsetting both customer and vendor balances and sharing with the local finance leadership team.
    Flagging and advising on resolution of third party customers long outstanding debts to ensure appropriate provisions.
    Regularly communicate with shared service teams IBM and operating centers (OC) to ensure PTP service level agreements (SLAs) are met month on month.
    Ensuring that all new employees vendor accounts are created in SAP by sharing the people soft forms and vendor creation templates with the employee, MDM team and obtaining all necessary approvals

    Relevant Qualification:

    University Graduate in Finance or a business-related field
    Professional qualifications CPA/ACCA
    Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a P2P role within FMCG.
    Experience working with MRP and/or ERP systems (SAP)

    Support decisions around Customer Development (CD) promotions and work with CD Operations around accruals
    Prepare regular pricing reporting to the CD and Marketing functions to develop insights via these reports that will drive better pricing decisions
    Support the Finance Excellence Team to deploy and maintain ‘quick analytic’ tools to enable CD & Marketing to evaluate the feasibility and return on single promotional activities and full promotional plans on their own (smaller investments) or with support (larger investments)
    Build & maintain process documentation (e.g. which explains how to implement a list price increase with customers and includes relevant case study examples)
    Provide end to end guidance to CCBT’s on all matters related to finance

    Brands & Marketing Investment (BMI)

    BMI lead within the FET CCBT Decision support team
    Drive Annual BMI budgeting process with CCBT leads
    Manage BMI budgets through out the year to ensure control of spend & effective returns of the investment
    Manage the Internal Orders’ (IOs) for BMI spend
    Manage dynamic management of BMI budgets as per S&OP volume/TO/business priority changes
    Consolidate, review and submit Brands and Marketing Investments (BMI) Forecast for all brands across the three EA countries to Sales & Operations (S&OPs) Forecasting.
    Analyse BMI spend on a monthly basis and providing a scorecard of variance from forecast with the necessary commentaries.
    Prepare & share out a monthly tracker to help partners have a snapshot of their overall budgets (Full Year Budget, Year to Date spend & Year to Go balance) for each of their brand.
    Track monthly spend of BMI weekly against the monthly forecast and share out the tracker to monitor spending.
    Ensure effective BMI control processes are in place
    Continuous budget control and monitoring spend relating to BMI and engaging the respective brand or category manager.
    Ensure Month End Closure (MEC) activities relating to BMI are carried out accurately and on time and aligning with Reporting Accountant.
    Review any write-backs that relate to BMI and obtain the necessary approvals.
    Reconcile all Balance Sheet General Ledger Accounts relating to BMI.
    Ensure new joiners in Brand Building (BB) team are trained on BMI essentials.
    Enforce governance process around BMI Accounting to ensure integrity of data posted including communicating any Standard Chart of Authorities (SCOA)+ changes.
    Ensure data accuracy and integrity in the posting and reconciliation on BMI in SAP system.
    Monitor BMI Purchase Orders Ariba – SAP interfacing status and advising on corrective action.
    Liaising with Indirect Procurement team to resolve issues relating to BMI Purchase Orders & Goods/Service Received Note
    Ensure that Non-Working Media targets are achieved by reviewing postings and undertaking both preventative and corrective measures.
    Liaising with CCM Manager, Marketing to ensure Agency fees (Mindshare) Purchase Orders are raised correctly and on time.

    Main Job Purpose:
    This role ensures the implementation of the Packaging cross category and Beauty and personal care raw materials procurement strategy. This is done through ensuring progressive and excellent relationships with our suppliers to ensure service and help in win-win negotiations to deliver value to the business.
    Key Accountabilities:

    Delivery of NMI and cash objectives.
    Working closely with the Global Procurement teams to support the business with accurate price forecasting, which includes market conditions, price trends and future market trends to enable proper budgeting and price forecasting.
    Supplier relationship management and service development.
    Handling professionally diverse customer supplier or operational issues when they arise. 
    Identifying metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies.
    Initiating and driving complexity reduction projects (e.g., harmonization of specifications and suppliers).
    Supporting development and implementation of Unilever procurement strategies/policies.
    Supporting innovation projects through providing market intelligence, supplier capabilities and capacity.
    Provide insights to support Procurement of the materials/services Portfolios such as what to buy, where to buy, how to buy, when to buy
    Follow market conditions, prepare price trends, and formulate future markets trends for the business.

    Scope: Manage 30m € + spend among All Packaging & BPC Raw Materials, 1500+ Materials and 30+ Suppliers in Kenya & International.
    Constant alignment to global cover policy & cross category projects (i.e., Forecasting, USQS, Responsible Sourcing Audit, Quality Audit, SUSO, COTIF etc.)
    Leading negotiation & develop strong relationship with suppliers & learn their market abilities.
    Support in building local Portfolio strategic plan for the different RM & PM Portfolio.
    Following up & sharing markets and frequent report on price trends to the business for planning.
    Constant Explore & analyze saving opportunity to generate savings & NMCI opportunities.             
    Analyzing supplier’s behavior, spend, and past performance on different aspects (i.e., Quality, reliability, capability & Capacity).
    Build material resilience for all materials in the business, start with critical materials.

    Generate contracts every year through iCAT and work closely with CLM on any adjustments. Having Contracts on time & In Full (COTIF) and getting them signed on time.
    Follow up with Finance on closing pending payments & any recon required in order to close supplier’s payment issues.
    Work to close any pending Audit requirements & building SOPs for your portfolios.
    Be the key lead on Sustainability through pushing PCR initiatives.
    Working with Key suppliers & getting updates on position on plastic management & collection.
    Working on Forecasting through Anaplan system & BPC HANA system in order to attain NMCI plans.
    Work closely with Global & Local team to understand Procurement Digital & e sourcing tools that help in day-to-day jobs. 
    Aligning with local R&D on projects that will help deliver savings and resilience.
    Work with Local & Regional Engineering team on Mould health management and align with the category on moulds management strategy.
    Help lead on Wellbeing activities within the team.
    To ensure the satisfaction of Unilever’s internal customers with the services provided by the procurement organization.
    To lead the rationalization of suppliers, materials and services that meet Unilever’s business requirements
    Organize Supplier cycle meetings to review agreed KPIs that ensures excellent service

    The Factory Manager is responsible for operating the Nairobi factory (consisting of 3 separate factories: Homecare, BPC and Foods) as per agreed standards. S/he leads manufacturing activities in the factory to achieve desired service levels on time.     Job Summary

    Deploy and Deliver factory annual plan and financial results including targets on service, costs, productivity, quality, innovation and OSHE
    Recommend long term site strategic plans to the respective Category and Supply Chain teams and contribute CCBT objectives.
    Lead factory to develop and implement continuous improvement plans to deliver site targets – manufacturing performance management
    Manage and deliver the factory financial results: annual budgets, Sourcing Unit Result, conversion costs and create programmes to deliver financial results
    Engage and facilitate the implementation of innovations on site, for products, ways of working, service models and supply chain models
    Propose, agree with Category Product group and Technology, and implement the necessary capital investments to meet the planned production requirements, safety, environmental and cost targets
    Ensure that the technical standards of all manufacturing and non-manufacturing fixed assets are maintained. Enable the factory operation to achieve high level of Customer Service at optimal cost
    Drive WCM activities and teams by leading the WCM Steering Committee to develop, update and deliver site roadmap.
    Co-ordinate and direct the factory and associated co-packer operations to achieve the agreed production plans at the specified product quality with optimum labour, energy and materials utilization.
    Own factory quality management in line with QA system and ISO 9000 procedures.
    Own HR policy deployment and implementation on sites, including management of employee relations.
    Comply and ensure the application of all Unilever Policies and governance requirements.
    Lead on initiatives and projects aiming for sites integration and collaborative work along the extended supply chain.
