    Pre-Auction

    Liaises with tea brokers for weekly delivery of electronic pre-auction catalogues.
    Assist Procurement Specialist Operations in compiling auction volume availability for auction buyers

    Sampling

    Coordinates dispatch of tea samples as per instruction from Unilever Asia Private Limited and advice thereof
    In liaison with Procurement Specialist- Auction, ensure purchased samples are received, tasted and archived.

    Data Management

    Authenticates tasting data prior to tea categorization of auction catalogues and upload of pre-auction catalogues in the tea procurement system
    Authenticates complete auction catalogues
    Generates catalogue pre-sort report for tea tasting exercise
    Coordinates the entry of auction buying results into the tea procurement system including data entry.
    Coordinates bidding confirmation exercise with service provider, ensuring right teas are allocated as per customer requirements

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
    The Clinical Officer – Anesthetist’s role is majorly the administration of medicine and pain management during and after surgical procedures. They also monitor their patients to adjust the dosage as needed as well as prescribing medicine to use post-surgery. Role also includes patient management for both in and outpatient.
    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Assess whether a patient is fit enough to undertake an operation before surgery takes place.
    Agree on an anaesthetics plan.
    Provide safe pre-operative care and pain relief to patients using anaesthetics and analgesics
    Reassure patients about what will happen during and after the operation
    Administer anesthesia in the operating theatre.
    Monitor patients while they’re under anesthesia to make sure they remain in a stable condition
    Relieve and manage post-operative pain to support patients’ recovery
    Work with a range of other health professionals, such as surgeons, operating department practitioners, theatre nurses, radiographers and radiologists to ensure patient wellbeing
    Perform administrative tasks in areas which relate to the care of patients, including summaries of patient treatment and the writing of discharge letters .
    Participate in an agreed on-call rota and take on an equal share in providing emergency cover.
    Train, teach and supervise more junior staff in both critical care and anesthesia.

    Management of patients

    Examination, diagnosis and treatment of patients .
    Admission and follow up of patients in the wards for better management until discharge.
    Use diagnostic services like the laboratory and X-ray as appropriate.
    Provide preventive, curative and diagnostic services to the company employees, their dependants and patients/clients seeking services at our medical facilities.
    Administer and prescribe treatment of drugs.
    Order and execute various tests and analysis concerning the employees’ health and their dependants.
    Perform minor surgeries.
    Inoculate and vaccinate patients to immunize them from communicable diseases.
    Admit patients and ensure that medical care is provided
    Conduct examination to assess the physical fitness of company employees as required.
    Ensure the proper recording and maintenance of medical records by eliciting and recording information about patient’s medical history.
    Oversee maintenance of case history, health examination reports and other medical reports.

    Preventive health care

    Organize and participate in healthcare programs such as breast and cervical cancer screening. Implement employee wellness programs.
    Carry out occupational health and Safety trainings.
    Carry out medical examinations such as entry, periodic and exit checks for workers.
    Provide counseling services.
    Advise on workplace environment safety.

    Administration

    Develop, update and enforce emerging ways of disease management.
    Initiate and control drug Management system in the medical centre.
    Mentorship of peers and all direct reports on management of patients.
    Prepare and monitors continuous medical education to Unilever Tea Kenya employees.
    Supervise safe transportation of patients.
    Maintenance of the medical centre equipment inventory.
    Represent the company in court for medical legal issues.
