    Main Job Purpose
    To ensure an effective business partnering role for the operations on cost management, risks & controls management and leading business initiatives of an effective operations business model that enhances strong performance and continued growth.
    Job Summary

    Business partner the Estate and Factory operations managers and the operations Director.
    Responsible for all the budgeting, planning and costs review of the estates and the factories
    Responsible for ensuring and continuously reviewing operation controls and review of Accounting policies
    Works with the Finance Manager on World Class Manufacturing (WCM) cost deployment pillar
    Responsible for stock control and management in operations
    Responsible for validation and approvals of all journal postings from operation
    Lead in spearheading receipts of all the monthly returns from all the units for end month reporting
    Driving both Gross Margin (GM) and Core Operating Margin (COM) through savings drive in operations and monitor key operations KPIs on a monthly basis
    Management of the out growers’ model and payment process on a monthly basis
    Lead both internal and external Audits processes in the operations
    Review of all critical ledger Accounts and ensure sign off of reconciliations and closure of all actions on a monthly basis.
    Lead on Financial and Accounting trainings for the non-finance teams
    Support other finance Sections including approval of suppliers’ payments
    Champion the operations IT systems controls and reviews.
    Responsible for team direct reports development.

    Key Requirements

    Degree in Business/Accounting
    Professional Qualification of CPA K or ACCA will be an added advantage
    5-8 years in Finance/Accounting in a customer facing role/organization
    Experience and knowledge on the use of SUN system or any other Finance system.
    Proficient in office packages i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    Should be very articulate, results oriented, innovative, challenges convention, works with no supervision and should be a great team player.
    Leadership attributes- proven ability to manage teams.

    Knowledge and application of technical skills to Operate machinery safely and effectively in order to meet the production plan. Conduct cleaning and lubrication as required. Possess a basic knowledge of the principles of mechanism, motion and pneumatics.

    Understand properties of materials being handled. Able to perform correct adjustment and setting.
    Proactively work with Professional Maintenance and Quality Control staff to achieve zero breakdowns and zero defects.
    Carry out product and process changeovers/wash-outs to maintain quality standards whilst minimizing the impact to the production plan.
    Utilise all appropriate safety and environmental procedures relating to the Sourcing Unit and allocated equipment to ensure a safe working environment for the whole team. Understand the legal responsibility placed upon individuals.
    Reduce costs due to waste and minimise impact to health, safety and the environment through working to eliminate waste and through the correct management of waste and hazardous materials.
    Key Requirements
    A minimum of National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in either Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
    Applicant must be a committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and good attention to detail. Effective problem solving skills and an agile mind are essential.

    Correct provisioning for Slow moving and obsolete stocks per the stocks policy
    Partnering with the business (Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales teams etc) on initiatives to run down SLOBS.
    Monitor and ensure effectiveness of Stocks and Engineering spares controls including continuous review of processes and policy to maintain a sound control environment around stocks
    Organize and coordinate the monthly and quarterly stock take for Finished Goods, Raw & Pack and Engineering spares (yearly) including ensuring that there are resources for the count and that all locations have been counted and signed off and following up on any issues raised during the count
    Provide advice to supply chain teams in their countries for exceptions to process/policy or introduction of new processes
    Monthly stocks forecasting with planners for working capital reporting.
    Key Requirements
    Must be a graduate of a Business Course, preferably with excellent Accounting background
    At least 1-3 years’ experience in Management Accounting in Unilever or similar industry
    Management/Financial Accounting experience in an FMCG business.

    Welfare Assistant

    Main Job Purpose
    To support the implementation of welfare policies, guidelines, programs and the Safety for Women, Boys and Girls program in close cooperation with the operational units and the departments.
    Job Summary
    Provide specific support in defining welfare standards for welfare facilities and activities i.e. houses, schools, social halls etc.
    Conduct regular inspections and audits of welfare facilities and develop corrective action plans in consultation with Unit managers in your zone and the Welfare Manager.
    Coordinate research and data collection on Social Capital expenditure project needs amongst employees and advise Welfare manager on employee needs and satisfaction levels.
    Coordinate monthly Dignity Enhancement Committee meetings in respective units and departments in line with the Charter
    Analyse the trend of welfare and Social Gender Based Violence related complaints and cases in your zone, identify hotspots and root causes and design interventions to address them in consultation with the Welfare Manager and the Unit Manager.
    Cascade all Welfare policies and the Code of Business Principles to all employees in your zones
    Jointly with the Welfare Manager work with external stakeholders to deliver trainings relating to human rights, counselling amongst other welfare needs.
    Provide assistance in the development of concept notes, project plans and documents, policy frameworks and gender issues for best practises as requested by the Welfare Manager
    Lead in the designing of specific programmatic interventions with respect to the Safety programme in the zone .
    Support in the conceptualization and implementation of welfare social campaigns on SGBV, human rights and Code of Business Principles .
    Implement the Welfare Grievance guidelines
    Provide psychosocial support to survivors of Gender Based Violence, their family and other persons in need.
    Coordinating with teachers on Unilever Tea Kenya schools to provide school-based services for children who have been affected by or are survivors of gender-based violence.
    Participate in the preparation of Unit welfare budgets
    Work closely with the local administration and other stakeholders to protect the rights of the child and manage conflict at Zonal level.
    KEY REQUIREMENTS
    A degree in any Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources
    At least 2 years relevant experience in a reputable organization.
