    Main job purpose
    Primary responsibilities include development and execution of Internal Audit plans, review of controls and risk management processes in the company.     Key Accountabilities

    Ensure detailed audit programmes based on the documented procedures and best practices are developed, for each identified audit project, giving special attention to potential risk areas.
    Coordinate the implementation of internal audit strategies, policies and procedures.
    Verify documentation and review of existing accounting, administrative and internal control systems and make appropriate recommendations for improvement.
    Perform objective assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of key controls and risk management processes within the assigned business processes.
    Ensure appropriate documentation and evidence is maintained for all test of controls performed in the Internal Audit systems.
    Prepare appropriate Internal Audit reports documenting all control findings, recommendations and actions plans and aligning these with key stakeholders.
    Work with the different stakeholders and provide feedback to staff on performance of each audit assignment.
    Design and test controls to detect and prevent Fraud in the business by applying judgement on the right balance of controls that enables fraud prevention and fast execution in the marketplace.
    Review compliance with laws, regulations, Unilever policies, Code of Business principles and other external requirements.
    Support management in creating a control environment that promotes a positive attitude to risk and a well-controlled business. This involves raising control awareness and skills besides promoting a positive control culture in the East African business

    Knowledge & Skill

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field of study
    Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques
    Knowledge of tools and audit software programs desired
    Prior success conducting external or internal audits
    Ability to build relationships while holding stakeholders accountable 
    Excellent written and oral communication ability
    Strong project management and organisational skills

    Experience required.
    5 years minimum relevant working experience in Audit / Compliance / Finance in a busy environment

    Amend the target stocks where necessary to reflect seasonal requirements and ABC analysis Identify and maintain stocking strategies ensuring that target inventory levels for the relevant SKU’s are maintained in SAP.
    Ensure collaboration with all internal stakeholders e.g. Logistics, Warehousing, Quality, Factory, Finance, Sales and Marketing to deliver on business objectives and drive continuous improvement across the category.
    Maintain good working relationship with external stakeholders e.g. Suppliers, Government bodies etc. to ensure business objectives are achieved.

    Through the Central Sourcing Team, ensure that the necessary capacity and capability exists in the supply base to deliver upon the customer demands.
    Ensure that the forecasted demand is communicated to all relevant factories/ suppliers on a regular basis to ensure product availability both for Finished goods and materials to avoid supply disruptions at customer and factory level
    Position materials, prepare product structures and ensure accurate coding is in place prior to new product introduction
    Communicate supply issues and available to promise information to Order Management and Sales & Marketing Functions.
    Manage materials suppliers to ensure consistent supply of goods through monthly forecast submission, supplier payments tracking, quality issues tracking and any matters that may impact supply.
    Ensure with help of procurement contracts are in place and resilience suppliers are in place for all key materials.
    Work closely with the respective Brand Teams to ensure sound planning and sourcing to manage all product requirements and deliver the relevant sales and promotional plans.
    Work closely with the Marketing, Sales and SC teams for any new product introductions as per agreed timelines.
    Deliver on SC KPI’s as per agreed targets e.g. Dispatch Rate (DR), CCFOT (Customer Case Fill Rate), Forecast accuracy, Forecast Bias, Working Capital, Safety etc.
    Ensure system updates /projects in conjunction with Regional teams like SAP are reviewed on a regular basis to drive effective and efficiently.
    Provide leadership, coaching, development, and training plans for all direct reports assigned to you.
    Develop and maintain target inventory levels on a bi -annual basis at least for all Finished Goods, Raw and PACK materials ensure that they are adhered to, by the respective planners.
    Amend the target stocks where necessary to reflect seasonal requirements and ABC analysis Identify and maintain stocking strategies ensuring that target inventory levels for the relevant SKU’s are maintained in SAP.
    Ensure collaboration with all internal stakeholders e.g. Logistics, Warehousing, Quality, Factory, Finance, Sales and Marketing to deliver on business objectives and drive continuous improvement across the category.
    Maintain good working relationship with external stakeholders e.g. Suppliers, Government bodies etc. to ensure business objectives are achieved.
    Follow, review, develop, approve, and implement policies and procedures which lead to optimization of planning process, reduction of stock value, increase of stock turnover ratio, make decision undertaking process in the own area of responsibility accurate and efficient

    Key Requirements

    5-7 years End to End supply chain experience in an FMCG set up particularly in planning (Demand, Materials and Production)
    5 years’ experience in team management.
    Experience in Inventory management
    Experience SAP (APO, SNP, MRP ,BW)
    Bachelor’s Degree in B-Com, Business related course or Engineering
    Advanced MS Office Excel, Presentation, Projects

    Job Summary

    Responsible for all accounts payable processes for Unilever Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya third party accounts.
    Ensuring all key performance metrics are achieved monthly including payment on time (POT) 95%, Purchase Order compliance (POC) 98% and first pass yield (FPY) 80% within East Africa as per the Global Unilever policy.
    Management of Key accounts especially revenue authorities and third-party vendors and customers.
    Reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining liaison with suppliers to ensure payments are made promptly and accounts stay current.
    Provide data for working capital forecasting requirements for third party debtors and creditors.
    Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments through use of SAP, DCIW, Coupa and Online banking apps such as Citi Direct.
    Review and posting of overheads costs such as Tanzania Revenue Authority, International travel costs (AMEX) and reclassification for month end reporting to the correct general ledger and cost centers.
    Partnering with Brand Marketing Investment (BMI) Accountant to review Key BMI suppliers and internal orders to resolve payment issues.          
    Initiating tax urgent requests (URA,TRA,KRA) and one-time vendor manual payments on share point tool while guiding all users within the business to raise urgent, advance and one-time vendor payments.
    Conducting business support centre (BSC) trainings aimed at resolving all payment issues and DCIW+ invoice management tool workflow for all users within the business at specified locations helping to reduce outstanding workflow.
    Providing information and offering support to different audit requirements which have included KPMG external audit, PWC and Unilever internal audit, internal financial controls assessment and Unilever global corporate audit for PTP function.
    Ensuring third party net position is within tolerance risk levels and working capital requirements by offsetting both customer and vendor balances and sharing with the local finance leadership team.
    Flagging and advising on resolution of third party customers long outstanding debts to ensure appropriate provisions.
    Regularly communicate with shared service teams IBM and operating centers (OC) to ensure PTP service level agreements (SLAs) are met month on month.
    Check and review on shared dashboard metrics, reports for DCIW and KPIs such as vendor blocked items, vendor open debits and goods receipts not invoiced (GRNI) are achieved in accordance to the Global Financial Controls Framework (GFCF).
    Training and monitoring of travel and expenses Concur system to improve controls and efficiency on personal expenses incurred for business purposes while ensuring timely payments.
    Partnering with HR and Intercompany Accountant to ensure timely clearing of bank open items before 20th of every month ahead of the Global cut-off date.
    Ensuring that all new employees vendor accounts are created in SAP by sharing the people soft forms and vendor creation templates with the employee, MDM team and obtaining all necessary approvals.

    Key Requirements

    University Graduate in Finance or a business-related field
    Professional qualifications CPA/ACCA
    Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a P2P role within a manufacturing company
    Must have SAP working knowledge
