    Key Responsibilities
     

    Provide capacity to the children, parents, their caregivers and community members to enhance their knowledge and ability to protect children from harm.
    To be responsible to conduct proper recording, documentation for all the children and their caregiver seeking child protection services and information at the sectional level.
    Provision and Dissémination of appropriate child protection information to support decision making on voluntary repatriation and sustained protection for the children remaining in the camps.
    Provide trainings and monitoring to the Community’s Own Resource persons and help desk social workers on behavior change and General Child protection concerns.
    Supervisers a team of Economic and social empowerment assistants .
    Review and develop child friendly and child focused protection messages on emerging concerns and threats (with an emphasis on concerns of undocumented children, children in the Voluntary repatriation process and special protection cases, specifically prevention of and support to survivors of harmful traditional practices and SGBV and inclusion of children with specific needs).
    On a monthly basis, conduct organize information forums (information clinics) involving other protection partners and service providers to strengthen the support to individual children.
    Conduct monthly radio shows to provide further information, and an opportunity to take questions and feedback regarding the information forums sessions for both Refugee and host communities.
    Organize and facilitate separate adolescent boys and girls symposiums and peer to peer activities at the child friendly help desks.
    Enhancing Empowerment, Partnership and Advocacy for Child Safe Repatriation, to access services including CP in camps and host communities.
    Coordination with UNHCR, Refugee Affairs Secreteriate (RAS) and other humanitarian actors to strengthen referral pathway.
    Supports the recruitment of community workers, in particular social workers and CP volunteers.
    Reports incidents and difficulties encountered with any CP staff or community worker to Empowerment Senior Officer or CP project manager.
    Ensure that assigned activities are appropriately implemented and, when necessary, ideas on amendments deemed will be shared with the Empowernment Senior Officer.
    Sharing and provision of appropriate child protection information to support decision making on voluntary repatriation and sustained protection for the children remaining in the camp.
    Organize and facilitate separate adolescent boys and girls symposiums and peer to peer activities at the child friendly help desks.
    Supports in child led advocacy campaigns, mass awareness and special events throughout the project in close consultation with empowerment officer and Case work officer.
    Conduct refresher training and mentorship for children (Child Council members, peer to peer support network members and Children Ombudsman) to reinforce knowledge on Child Protection topics and provide information on any emerging issues such as COVID 19 Prevention and camp consolidation to strengthen child participation on issues affecting them.
    Life skills training for girl mother’s, adolescent boys and girls, foster parents and provision of start-up kits and nurturing kits for the girl mother’s babies (0-5). The aim of the training is to enhance the groups to start their own income generated activities as a source of livelihood support leading to their self relience.
    Reinforce the capacity of vulnerable foster parents, UASC and other vulnerable families through cash transfer program, and life-skills education.
    Participates in a base line, mid term and end term survey and evaluation of the CP project.
    Facilitate and conduct Project Progress Review Quarterly meetings and feedback sessions with the various targeted beneficiaries.
    Participates in the identification, mobilisation and training of community members and other actors to encourage their participation in different aspects of the project implementation (women, elders, leaders, youth, children, etc.) at sectional level.
    Contributes and Participates in the preparation and implementation of special events at community level as well as adolescent boys and girls tournerment.

     
    Education, Technical Knowledge and Experience

    Two years work experience , including in community development , advocacy and networking.
    University degree in Community development, Social Work, Social sciences, International studies and other relevant training qualification.
    Trainings in Behaviour change communication, life skills, advocacy and empowerment is an added advantage.
    Excellents oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili. Ability to communicate in Somali is a plus.
    Proven ability in implementation community development or advocacy intiative.
    Experience in designing and delivering trainings.
    Good understanding of the rights –based approach , conflict sensitivity and DO NO HARM, and gender justice.
    Strong analyticl skills, with ability to think innovativety and operate strategically.
    Flexibility ,stamina and ability to work under pressure and beyond regular working hours if necessary.
    Personal qualities that ensure effective work with communities as well as self-management, including flexibility and respect for others .Skills
    Required qualities: proactive, autonomous, rigorous, organized, good communication and interpersonal skills.

    Contractual conditions: Tdh will cover the accommodation and transport while in Dadaab, as well as the training material. All other expenses are to be covered by the successful consultant

    Active in more than 45 countries, Tdh works with local and international partners to develop and implement field projects which improve the daily lives of over 3 million children and their relatives, in the domains of health, protection and emergency relief.

    Context: Since 2011 Tdh has been present in in Dadaab refugee operation, near the Somali border, providing comprehensive prevention and response services to children, adolescents and their families, and continues to expand tailor made individual and family case management services to identified children with protection needs.
    Dadaab refugee camp (comprises Hagadera, Ifo and Dagahaley camps) is the third largest refugee complex in the world. Somali refugees constitute 96.30% of the population while other groups from South Sudan, Yemen, DRC, Sudan, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Eritrea, Uganda and Tanzania.
    Despite camp consolidation and encouraging voluntary repatriation in the past two years, Dadaab continues to host a high number of refugees, the majority of which are Somali.
    The need of protection and care for refugee children in the three camps remains critical. Children’s exposure to violence, exploitation and abuse has been exacerbated by an increased presence of undocumented asylum-seekers, including new arrivals and those who came back after repatriation.
    Multiple protection concerns still remain as a result of limited availability of services in the camps due to the reduction of humanitarian investment in the area.
    Tdh national team based in Dadaab is composed by 34 staffs and is currently expanding its activities and increasing the number of national staff affected in the field, mainly in Dadaab.
    Tdh is seeking to reinforce the competencies and technical knowledge of the current staff and to introduce newly recruited staff on the approaches, attitudes, methods, techniques and tools that guide Tdh in implementing its programs.

    Major duties and responsibilities
    Tdh Dadaab team provide child protection services in Hagadera, Ifo and Dagahaley camps since 2011, through case management, psychosocial support and social empowerment activities. Tdh, based on needs and gaps identified during all the phases of the project cycle in the last 6 months, have decided to launch a capacity building process aiming to improve the relevance, appropriateness, effectiveness, accountability and impact of its interventions.
    The main purpose of this consultancy is to increase technical knowledge and skills of Tdh staff through capacity building on project cycle management, based on Tdh project cycle handbook, for the team based in Dadaab.
    Tdh is looking for a person with extended experience on project cycle management, to train and provide the necessary support to Dadaab team, on setting up an approach fully in line with Tdh standards. In addition, the consultant will work in Nairobi with the Head of Programs to develop the content of the training based on Tdh project cycle handbook.
    Following the training, the consultant will provide the organization with a brief report on the training and with planning for the next steps including recommendation and timeframe.
    Function details:
    The consultancy training will target all different phases of the project cycle with a focus on phases in bold:

    The training will be divided in three full days training sessions in March 2020.

    Profile:
    Professional competencies

    Professional diploma or University degree in politics, human rights, psychology, social work or other relevant field;
    Significant experience working in project management, program development, management of non-governmental organizations or project coordination;
    Very good knowledge of result-based management;
    Significant experience in programming in emergency contexts;
    At least 3 years of experience in delivering trainings and workshops for international non-governmental organizations.

    Expected duration: 2nd March 2020 – 31st st July 2020
    Location: TdH-NL Office in Lodwar town, Turkana County
    Time: During office working hours (8-5pm) on a need basis, and at least once a week
    Objectives of the Assignment
    The overall objective of the assignment is to build a resource base on CSEC, which will establish benchmarks for measuring project results, impact and long lasting change in the lives of the beneficiaries at the end of the project, and to support learning through documentation and analysis of CSEC trends. The action research will be conducted alongside implementation of project interventions and will offer insight into progress made so far, contribute to better programming strategies (including targeting) and overall, contribute to learning on best approaches to use in programming to address sexual exploitation.
    Action research are:

    Undertake the action research through a trend analysis of the following areas: This will include (at the very least);
    Analyze the child protection systems within Tukana (Formal or Informal)
    Analysis of the knowledge, attitudes and practices in relation to CSEC by project stakeholder groups (children, parents/caregivers, youth, community leaders and the community in general) and their perceived responsibility in Child Protection.
    The warning signs and indicators that a child is involved in CSEC in the local context.
    Level of reporting and prosecution of CSEC cases in the geographical location and what the motivating factors to report or not to report are.
    The push and pullfactors that contribute to CSEC in the context ofthe project. .
    Analysis of the current project interventions vis a vis the status of CSEC in Turkana with recommendations ofstrategic improvements.
    Analysing gaps in the availability, accessibility and adequacy of child protection services and structures in Turkana.
    Collect data on some of the strategies in use in preventing and responding to the problem of CSEC in Turkana – make some innovative recommendationsforfuture programming.
    Conducting an assessment of the non-formal child protection structures in Turkana , identifying their strengths and potential weaknesses in addressing CSEC in the county

    Scope of work:

    Develop/refine a set of action research questions to inform the CSEC project in Turkana.
    Conducting desk review of existing qualitative and quantitative information as per the objectives outlined above.
    Development of data collection tools and sampling methodology. Sharing the tools with Terre des Hommes Netherlandsfor review and feedback.
    Finalising the tools and methodology based on the feedback from Terre des Hommes Netherlands.
    Conducting a pilot study/pre-test of the data collection tools for accuracy and reviewing appropriately for the research.
    Developing data entry & analysis programme (SPSS for quantitative and any other relevant program for qualitative data) and providing training to the data clerks; and ensuring quality checks during data collection, cleaning, entry and analysis.
    Making constructive observations and providing objective recommendations to the implementation, monitoring & research processes done by the project partners.
    Preparing draft report of the research findings with specific recommendations on emerging programming interventions and best practices in prevention and response to CSEC.

    Guiding Principles and Procedures
    The design and implementation of the research should take into account the principles of confidentiality and use of appropriate and sensitive interviewing methods for vulnerable groups (especially child victims of CSEC). This therefore means, ensuring children are at the centre ofthe research, that principles of gender equality, inclusion and non-discrimination are considered and acted upon throughout, and that the meaningful participation of children and other key stakeholders is promoted in the design and implementation of the research. The successful institution/firm or individual consultant will undertake to pay special attention to the “Do no harm” principle in order to mitigate any negative emotional, physical and psychological ramifications that may arise from improper and unethical research practices. Furthermore, the research is to be conducted in-line with Terre des Hommes Netherlands Child Safeguarding Policy and internal guidelines on Child safeguarding and ethical standards in Monitoring, Evaluation and Research.
    Expected Deliverables
    Under supervision of TdH-NL Kenya Country Manager, and or designated delegate (PO Turkana) and in close consultation with the TdH-NL Child Protection Advisor and the M&E Advisor (using the report templates that will be provided by Terre des Hommes Netherlands) the selected institution/firm/consultant should deliver the following:

    Inception Report: The inception report should include a literature review on CSEC in Kenya and specifically in Turkana, and propose a sound and feasible research tools, methodology, for undertaking the research.
    Phase Reports (three Phases): The Draft Report has to synthesize the trend analysis and provide tangible conclusions, and recommendations for future programmatic action. Particular attention should be given to any tangible changes in CSEC trendsfollowing the study.
    Final consolidated Action Research Report & Recommendations: The Revised Report has to synthesize all findings, conclusions, recommendations (with account of comments and additions from TdH – NL if any that will be shared following submission ofthe Zero Draft Report).
    Oral presentation/meeting and de-brief with project staff: As part of an ongoing project, the selected institution/firm/consultant will be required to conduct a presentation to TdH-NL and project partners, of the findings of the research, indicated evidenced based changes over the project period, including final findings, and suggestion of a Dissemination plan with key stakeholders. The de-briefing meeting will be a chance to clarify outstanding aspects ofthe research before finalization ofthe research.
    The Final Report: The selected institution/firm/consultant will be expected to produce a final report, with comments from the de-briefing taken into account.

    Time frame of the research
    The research will be undertaken from 1st March 2020 – July 2020. The activities will span over a period of15 weeks to be consolidated in a maximum of 20 consultancy days. Some ofthe proposed activitiesfor the assignment are as below listed. The consultant is invited to review and refine the tasks to fit within the above stated maximum consultancy days.
    Activities

    Introductory meeting with implementing partners.
    Literature review, development oftools and methodology Submission ofinception report with research tools, questions, methodology Finalising data collection tools based on commentsfrom TdH – NL & pre-test oftools, Field data collection.
    Data entry, analysis, draft report writing, submission of Zero draft report.

    Development of policy brief based on comments received from validation workshop.
    Submission of Final Acceptable Draft and dissemination of the same.

    Child Safeguarding
    In line with the UNCRC, Terre des Hommes strives to keep children safe in all its undertakings. The successful applicant will be required to read, understand, and commit to abide by TdH-NL Child Safeguarding Policy . The institution/firm or individual Consultant will sign the policy to indicate an understanding of, and intention to follow the policy requirements. The methodologies used in this study must abide by the universally acceptable standards for involving children in research.
    Experience and Qualifications

    Competent institution/firm or individual consultant conversant with child focused research.

    Proven track record in qualitative and quantitative research.
    Track record in conducting surveys and research on children’s rights in Kenya and East Africa. Understanding and appreciation of ethical research processes including appreciation of child protection and child safeguarding.

    Background Information
    Sexual Gender-based violence (SGBV) or violence against women and girls (VAWG), is a global pandemic that affects 1 in 3 women in their lifetime. 35% of Women World wide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence. This issue is not only devastating for survivors of violence and their families, but also entails significant social and economic costs. In some countries, violence against women is estimated to cost countries up to 3.7% of their GDP – more than double what most governments spend on education. All persons suffer disproportionately from SGBV, in an emergency, post emergency and in settled host communities contexts. Failure to address this issue also entails a significant cost for the future.
    As part of national efforts to address the SGBV meted against children and general protection of Children in Turkana County and in Kenya at large, TdH-NL in partnership with UNICEF in Turkana West Sub County is planning to conduct a SGBV mapping, learning and best practices assessment/ exercise in Turkana West Sub County (Letea and Songot Wards) to establish the extent to which SGBV is an issue in the region, risks predisposing children, its manifestation, and what interventions are currently being undertaken to protect children from this issue. The mapping findings will inform concerted efforts with communities, Government, UN agencies, CSOs and Private sector to prevent, mitigate and respond to SGBV against children in the targeted wards and Turkana West Sub County as a whole.
    Purpose of the Consultancy
    TdH-NL intends to contribute to improved general coordination and delivery of service delivery to Child Survivors of SGBV, a plan has been laid down to conduct an assessment on risks to SGBV, prevalence and service based mapping assessment with emphasis on accessibility and delivery mechanisms in Turkana West Sub County in 2 Wards of Letea and Songot. Interest services include medical, legal, psycho-social, rehabilitation along with service providers locations, addresses, contact details, etc.The assessment will be done in line with specific indicators of the project and will go a long way in identifying the legal and policy framework in place at county and Country level to address SGBV meted against both boys and girls in the entire Sub County. By this assessment, TdH-NL strongly believes that the mapping will not only identify the required services to the survivors, but also can identify the gaps or limitations that exist therein thereby informing responsive capacity building initiatives of key actors in the target project locations.
    Objective of the Rapid Assessment
    The overall objective of the consultancy is to map out SGBV prevalence/scale, associated risks and vulnerabilities among the children, the existing available and accessible services (medical, legal, psycho-social, rehabilitation, etc.) provided by the government and nongovernment organizations and other private sector to the survivors, and the gaps or limitations that exists in those interventions.
    Specific Objective

    Understand existing risks in relation to SGBV and its prevalence/scale in the targeted locations
    To determine the support required for children victims and survivors of SGBV
    To identify the existing available and accessible services, and service delivery mechanism/procedure to support survivors and its effectiveness
    To develop a database with detailed information of service providers offering SGBV/CP services to the survivors along with their locations, addresses and contact details
    To understand the roles and responsibilities, gaps and limitations and capacity needs of key SGBV service providers regarding the services provided to survivors
    To understand about the existing SGBV/CP referral and linkage system between the service providers
    Assess the county level legal and policy framework regarding provisions for SGBV/CP services or boys and girls

    Main Tasks of the Concultancy
    The consultant is expected to undertake the following tasks:

    Conduct inception meeting for the assignment and preparing an inception report
    Gathering and reviewing of all necessary documents mentioned in section
    Design the mapping in consultation with TdH-NL staff in a meeting with appropriate methodology, timing, roles and responsibilities of the team members, etc.
    Develop and finalize the tools based on consultation with TdH-NL staff, and conduct field testing
    Recruitment and implementation of the training for Data Collection Assistants
    Data collection of the available services and service providers offering medical, legal, psycho-social and rehabilitation services to the survivors, and the existing referral mechanisms/linkages
    Data cleaning, validation, entry, analysis and synthesis
    Develop a database containing all the relevant information about the identified service providers (both government and non-government organizations) including their names, location, offering services, contact details, etc.
    Develop and submission draft mapping report
    Organize a findings sharing workshop with the TdH-NL staff, Government representatives, UN agencies in the region and other relevant stakeholders to seek their input on the findings
    Incorporate feedback and finalize the report, and submit to TdH-NL

    Note

    The assigned tasks will need to focus on the above mentioned aspects, however, are not limited to them. Other associated tasks may and should be undertaken based on discussion and need.
    Submit the final rapid assessment report to TdH-NL’s Kenya Country Office. The raw data, the database which has been cleaned (both qualitative and quantitative, including original field notes for in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, as well as recorded audio material), and data collection tools used in the Rapid Assessment should be submitted together with the report. A simple inventory of materials handed over will be part of the record.

    Key Deliverables

    An inception report with the detailed work plan, approach, appropriate methodology and implementing arrangements for conducting the mapping
    Final tools/instruments of the prevalence, risks and service mapping
    Field manual for enumerators
    Training report of required number of enumerators and assistants
    Draft report which will be submitted within Seven (7) days after completion of the field work
    Presentation of the key findings to the stakeholders
    The final report of the assigned task which will be submitted within five days after the findings dissemination workshop with stakeholders
    Database that will be developed by containing detailed information of the service providers

    Note:

    All deliverables will be submitted in 2 copies; in hardcopy and softcopy in editable form.
    The contents of the report will be analysed and final payment will only be made upon approval of the final Rapid Assessment report by TdH-NL.

    Time frame
    The assignment is expected to be conducted over a period of 20 days between January and February 2020
    Role of Terre des Hommes Netherlands
    TdH-NL will provide all required background materials and programme documents to the consultant in a timely manner; and be the link between the consultant and the project sites in Turkana West Sub County.
    TdH-NL will review tools and provide support in the Mapping process including identifying venues for discussion.
    TdH-NL will manage the consultancy contract, monitoring adherence to specified deadlines, facilitating access to required information. In addition, TdH-NL will provide guidance throughout all phases of execution, approving all deliverables, and facilitating access to any documentation deemed relevant to the evaluation process.
    The consultant will be responsible for guiding the entire Mapping process and all other specific responsibilities as stipulated in the TOR.

    Minimum ten (10) years experience in designing, implementing, managing and coordinating of SGBV service mapping, stakeholders mapping/ analysis, assessment, survey/research, etc.
    An advanced degree in a relevant field is compulsory and Technical background in Child Rights programming, a strong background in Social work, Social Science and/or Project Planning and Management, with solid experience in conducting social research.

The consultant/ firm will abstain from data collection from any person who will deny or show any reluctance in providing information. Written consent with signature or thumb impression of the respondents, therefore, needs to be obtained before collecting data.     Terre des Hommes Netherlands is looking for a full time project officer for the Kenya Country Office, to be based in Nairobi, Kenya with frequent travels to the Coast. This is a national short term position, open to applicants who can prove the right to live and work in Kenya.
    Objective of the Project Officer Role
    As part of our larger programme addressing child sexual exploitation at the Kenyan Coast, which comprises of advocacy, prevention and service provision interventions, during the peak tourist season of December 2019 – March 2020, TdH-NL intends to run an awareness campaign dubbed ‘Do not Look Away’ focusing on child sexual exploitation in general and more specifically on sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism. This campaign will combine awareness creation for child sexual exploitation in general (perpetrators being locals as well as tourists), with a call to action for the general public to ‘Do not look away’ and report cases of sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism specifically.
    TdH-NL is looking for a short term project officer who will work with the media consultant hired to run this campaign on behalf of and under the guidance of TdH-NL.
    The Media Campaign Project Officer will be responsible for the day to day implementation of the project, ensuring close monitoring of the media consultant to ensure timely delivery of activities. He/She operationally reports to the Country Manager Kenya, while at the same time receives mainly technical guidance from the Senior Communications Officer East Africa, with whom (s)he will be working closely together.
    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    a) Support Implementation of the CSEC Project in the Coast

    Constantly work with the media consultant to ensure timely, efficient and effective implementation of the media campaign project.
    Ensure efficient use of project resources and fulfillment of programme and finance commitments as per the consultancy contract.
    Guide the planning of the awareness campaign, while ensuring harmonisation within the existing CSEC programme at the Kenyan Coast, to create synergy of all the (communication) activities planned in this period across all TdH-NL ongoing CSEC projects.
    Work closely with TdH-NL’s partners in the Coast region, all relevant stakeholders to ensure coordinated services to victims of CSEC identified during the campaign period.
    Monitor the progress of the project including focus on support to victims of CSEC identified, other child protection concerns and provide feedback and advice to the Country Manager and others as appropriate for decision making.

    Programme results for the media consultant and project portfolio

    Support and monitor the project consultant through regular communication and programme visits and ensure that programme and finance commitments as per the consultancy contract are being fulfilled. Liaise with the TdH-NL Finance and Administration Officer regarding budgets and expenditures.
    Ensure that all scheduled project reports such as progress and financial reports are delivered timely and that they are of good quality, according to TdH-NL’s standards.
    Support the Senior Communications Officer East Africa at the TdH-NL Regional Office with information and materials for marketing and communication, e.g. news items (case stories, articles) and photos.
    Manage the procurement of branded items, if and where applicable, and other initiatives to increase TdH-NL’s visibility in-country.

    Safeguard project quality by maintaining an overview of supported projects and evaluating the quality of work and results.     The Field Coordinator will work in direct collaboration with the delegation personnel and interface directly with the Country Representative, as appropriate for programm strategy, reporting and administration. S/he will have direct access to key information, such as the general strategy of Tdh in Kenya, including programming objectives in the field, financial details, and security guidelines.
    A professional sense of security, confidentiality, and proper representation is paramount.

    Main Responsibilities:
    1. Child Protection Policy

    Commits to respect Tdh Child Protection Policy.
    Commits to ensure the best implementation possible of the Child Protection Policy in Dadaab, including participation in annual audit, and reviews and updates of action plan.
    Commits to inform the Country Representative and/or Head of Programs and/or the Desk Officer and to deal with any case of any allegations or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Child Protection Policy.

    Raises any questions to the Country Representative regarding Tdh compliance with basic requirements of the local law in respect to employment conditions and related matters.
    Coordinates with the HR Manager to ensure accurate leave and R&R planning for staff working in Dadaab.
    Assists the HR Manager in staff resource planning: job descriptions, recruitment, induction and training for all staff as appropriate.
    Ensures regular performance appraisals and encourages the personal development plans and the identification of training needs.

    9. Security

    Ensures that all Tdh staff in Dabaab, whether based there or visiting the project, are aware of Tdh security procedures and strictly comply with them.
    Collects primary indications for security matters from a variety of sources and share relevant information with the Country Representative and with the Dadaab team as relevant.
    Ensures the regular update of all security plan documents and tools, incl. emergency plans, contact lists, emergency kits, etc.

    10. Representation

    Ensures overall Tdh coordination with the UN agencies and government in Dadaab and operational representation where relevant in Dadaab area, including the sharing of information and reporting.
    Interacts with representatives of the local communities and ensures a constructive dialog to make sure that Tdh activities, policies and procedures are well known by local communities.
    Attends to all appropriate external humanitarian meetings, both general and sector, in order to ensure Tdh’s aims and activities are communicated with humanitarian partners.
    In coordination with the Country Representative, guarantees that all formalities required by the government are prepared properly, kept up to date, and presented punctually.

    11. Reporting

    Produces a monthly report and submits it to the Country Representative.

    Coordinates, prepares and elaborates institutional donor reports for submission to the Country Representative.
    Ensures timely submission of monthly situation reports by Dadaab staff members.

    Competencies:

    Duration of the assignment
    The awareness campaign should ideally run from 15 December 2019 up to 31 March 2020. Consultancy contract period will be from 1 December to 15 April 2019, to allow for project/campaign initiation and post campaign reporting. Within this contract period we estimate a total of 21 working days (approximately 12 days for tasks 1 t/m 4; 6 days for task 5; and 3 days for task 6).

    To provide psychosocial support to the selected medium risk cases or cases that need mental health interventions.
    Conduct monthly Symposiums, individual counselling, group therapy, play therapy and Family therapy to children identified with psychosocial distress
    Participate in needs assessments and project evaluations aiming at contributing to the development of the child protection programme strategy for the refugee community project in Dadaab refugee complex and in four villages of the host communities.
    Provide assistance to psychosocial senior officer in training and supervising the CP team and community based structures on the management of children and families with basic psychosocial and mental concerns.
    Assist psychosocial senior officer in training CP team members on the child friendly interviews techniques and implementation of psychosocial assessment.
