    Job Overview/Summary:
    Reporting to the Deputy Regional Director – East Africa, the Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEDI) Regional Advisor, will lead transformational activities and inspire change across the region by challenging existing practices, creating space for bottom-up learning, and influencing program work among the countries in East Africa with the aim of increasing IRC’s program impact on women, girls and most marginalized communities. You will collaborate with the GEDI senior advisor to inform the global learning on GEDI in programs work.
    You will be responsible for working with the GEDI Unit in supporting IRC’s ambition towards meeting global standards on TRANSFORMATIVE quality programming. This will be achieved through in-depth analysis of gender inequalities, based on gender and other forms of exclusion, that affect our clients; and developing inclusive or transformative strategies; in collaboration with feminist, women, and other identified marginalized group-led organizations.
     This exciting opportunity will work in collaboration with key stakeholders in the region in driving the overall DEI strategy and implementing the GEDI action plan.  We are looking for a passionate, creative and GEDI leader to help move this organizational change. 
    Strategic Leadership
     Provide thought leadership and direction on GEDI transformative programming at regional and country level by:

     Developing and leading activities to strengthen the Gender Equitable, inclusive and transformative program design and delivery in line with the IRC TRANSFORMATIVE global standards that are core to the IRC global strategy (Strategy100). 
     Ensuring consistent delivery/implementation of selected transformative programs striving for equal outcomes for diverse populations while allowing for contextual adaptation at the region and country levels. 
     Working closely with technical advisors (TAs) in adapting or developing tools to support analysis and program design for country offices and support staff in applying these methods in their work.
     Collaborating with the GEDI TechEx team in developing and reviewing GEDI program tools and support the pilot and utilization of new GEDI tools.
     Adding value to the sector’s knowledge base about what works best on advancing GEDI transformative programming.
    Technical support and quality programming 
     In collaboration with TAs and program design collaborators, get involved in program design stages to ensure GEDI is threaded throughout program proposals. Work with global and regional Technical Advisors (TAs) to ensure GEDI Integration into regional and country-level program development opportunities and implementation in alignment with IRC global quality frameworks.
     Support embedding intersectional feminist lens in Program design & delivery at regional and country levels including but not limited to (1) the use of GEDI markers to ensure that project lifecycle decisions are rooted in the intersectional feminist lens (2) GEDI intersectional context analysis (3) key initiatives to strengthen client and partner engagement on program decision making.  
     Coordinate with Technical Advisors in the different technical units for the implementation of GEDI conceptual framework and supporting country staff in understanding and applying approaches to delivering more equitable and accessible programming for women, girls, and identified marginalized groups.
     Serve as a resource, thought partner, and assessor of GEDI progress on regional program work and building consensus and support for changes needed to strengthen GEDI in programs.
     Advise on GEDI integration into country-level strategy frameworks, including country strategy action plans (SAP) and SAP implementation plans and consolidating into the regional plans.
     Work closely with TAs to support programmatic GEDI analyses to feed into improved program delivery for marginalized communities, 
     Work with regional TechEx senior technical advisors and sectoral technical advisors, including Safeguarding, to address context-specific GEDI gaps and challenges.
     Serve as a hub of GEDI knowledge for the regional and country teams to provide technical knowledge and expertise, monitor new practices, and document the results.
     Integrate GEDI priority in IRC Advocacy and external communication efforts as relevant.

     Job Requirements
    Education:

    MA in Gender, Social work, Development studies, or other related course or bachelor’s degree with years of additional work experience

    Work Experience:

    8+ years of related experience that includes:

     Direct experience leading and influencing organizational program work on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion processes as core to all programs and activities.
     At least 2 years in the humanitarian and/or international development sector.
     At least 2 years of experience in one or more countries in the assigned region.
     Experience developing and implementing gender-transformative work. Experience working on specific areas of inclusion, such as disability, is an added advantage.
     Experience in capacity building and training.

     Demonstrated skills and competencies:

     Deep commitment to and knowledge of strategies to advance diversity, equality, and inclusion; and proven experience in incorporating feminist and gender perspectives in the project cycle management.

    The innovative finance practice is designing and piloting new ways of working between humanitarians and the development and private sectors. The work of the practice is centered on building out pipeline projects of the ‘advisory model,’ an innovative approach to impact investing that brings together investors from the development and private sector, with experts from the humanitarian sector at the investment transaction level. This is a cutting-edge approach to blended finance, with the goal outcome of driving more investment and funding to the communities on the frontline of conflict and climate change.     Key Responsibilities

    The Innovative Finance Project and Communications Officer supports overall grants management, business development, and development of internal and external materials. The role involves working closely with the innovative finance team, as well as experts in humanitarian systems change, senior leadership, and external and investment partners. This role will collect project learnings and deliver high-quality reporting to communicate key data from investment pilots with partners, and enable the replication and scaling of successful humanitarian-investor partnerships. 

    Support to Innovative Finance Lead

     Draft business development materials and liaise with IRC business development colleagues to raise necessary grant funding for blended finance transactions.
     Support with organizing internal and external meetings and events; maintain robust notetaking and database of conversations. 
     Identify action items from meetings for follow-up and track progress and completion.

    Project and Knowledge Management, Internal Communications

     Build systems to collect information and track deliverables across donor-related projects.

    Focused on M&E technology support, the successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting IRC’s global technology tools. This includes CommCare, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server Azure based products. Working in partnership with staff at various levels and locations, the M&E Technology Specialist performs a key role in analyzing, developing, and improving tools and processes contributing to the successful rollout of the M&E Technology products.
    Specific tasks include development of applications in CommCare, dashboard development work in Power BI, software and data quality assurance, technical assistance including issue routing on helpdesk, second line support, and participation in setting standards for processes, security, and systems configurations.
    Major Responsibilities 
    Application Development and Data Visualization.

    Develop and improve applications to support data collection tools using CommCare and ODK tools.
    Support the development and rollout of organization-wide and sector specific dashboard products using Excel and Power BI.
    Work with M&E, data teams, and other stakeholders in requirements gathering and analysis to inform development or improvement of M&E technology products. 
    Develop documentation for M&E data collection tools and dashboard products. This includes user guides, setup manuals, training materials, and other communication materials.
    Provide technology training to the business teams, deployment teams and end users on various M&E products.
    Support standards for data protection, confidentiality and data security for the M&E systems and collaborate with key teams in IT security and protection teams for guidance as needed.

    Technology Support

    Provide technical support and backstopping to field staff using M&E applications developed. 
    In liaison with regional ICT and M&E teams, consolidate change requests, bugs and feature improvements.
    Address tier II technology support requests and/or triaging to the relevant lead developer for resolution.
    Administer helpdesk for the M&E Technology team in ensuring issues reported are resolved within the specified SLAs.

    Quality Assurance

    Participate in the design, implementation, and operation of data quality processes as they apply to M&E data applications.
    Support on quality assurance efforts during product development including on setting up of test plans and executing those test cases.
    Support on developer code reviews and pair-programming as necessary.

    Required Skills

    At least five years’ experience in developing and rolling out of M&E technology tools using CommCare or similar ODK-based data platforms.
    At least three years’ experience developing, implementing, and supporting M&E analytics and dashboard products using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Excel or similar applications.

    Program Design & Business Development: You will support country programs to design winning submissions and generally position IRC for continued success in our technical domains:

    Job Overview:

    The Research Uptake Coordinator works within the Data & Evidence Team with oversight from the INEE Director to build upon and strengthen the EiE evidence base and data ecosystem.
    The Research Uptake Coordinator, who is hired and hosted by the International Rescue Committee, works as a member of the INEE Secretariat. All core functions (e.g. communications, advocacy, promotion and fundraising) will be coordinated with the Secretariat staff in order to ensure coherence and harmonization across activities.

    Major Responsibilities:
    In alignment with INEE’s core functions, INEE’s Strategic Framework, Annual Workplan and in close collaboration with all of the INEE Secretariat, major responsibilities for this role include:

    Assist and support the Data & Evidence Team to handle complex projects, meet their objectives, and successfully collaborate with network members, partners, and key stakeholders

    Position Overview
    As the Senior Director MEAL, you will provide leadership in several critical capacities:

    TECHNICAL LEADER: Lead the development, deployment and ongoing ownership of all MEAL technical standards and tools, for use by program and MEAL staff across 40 country programs and regional offices. Ensure high quality technical support is provided to regional and country leaders and to five Technical Units (Health, Education, Governance, Economic Recovery & Development and Violence Prevention & Response)
    ORGANIZATIONAL LEADER: Own and implement IRC’s MEAL Strategy. Ensure that the Measurement Unit and its partners in other technical, regional and country teams have a clear vision for how data about our clients, programs and outcomes can be defined, collected, shared and used leveraged to improve planning, implementation, adaptation and learning.
