    The Role:

    The Manager, Talent Acquisition will support talent acquisition processes, specifically for the Africa Region and will report directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager, Africa. This role is an integral partner in recruiting, managing talent/learning and development portfolios, building candidate relationships, and frequently providing candidates with their first impression of the Center. The incumbent will be a talent acquisition subject matter expert, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, be flexible to shift priorities at a moment’s notice, and have a desire to grow their career focused on the talent portfolio of human resources.
    The position is a six (6) month fixed-term role that may be renewable depending on funding and continued need for the position. This position will be in a hybrid model of 3 days in-office and 2 days working-from-home.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    Recruitment

    Conduct full-cycle high-volume recruitment for roles including video screen interviews and panel interviews on both the Center’s legal and non-legal roles
    Counsel with hiring managers, executives, key stakeholders on hiring process and strategies from job origination to offer creation
    Engage applicants from the screening process through offer negotiation, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience
    Source passive candidates for open positions to develop candidate pipelines, according to relevant job criteria
    Onboard new employees into HRIS system

    Recruitment Support

    Work directly with candidates and hiring managers to schedule phone screens and interviews
    Update candidate records and job postings in recruiting systems
    Virtually usher interviews making sure panels are connected and remaining available to trouble shoot any technical issues
    Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via ATS and email
    Track recruiting activities and provide candidate status in a weekly report
    Coordinate and provide debrief materials for all interviews
    Identify opportunities for improving the candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
    Ensure 100% compliance with all Center guidelines
    Tracking new hires to ensure they have LMS accounts set up upon their arrival
    Serve as the point of contact for other HR team members, Finance, and Operations Departments during the onboarding process

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources Management, Organizational Management, Psychology, Sociology or other Social Science related studies is required.
    At least eight years of professional-level work experience in human resources management or leading HR Operations, or in business or public administration, at an International Organization, Government or Non-Governmental Organization, Donor Agency or Embassy is required.
    Proficiency in the use of HR Information Systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) is required. Proficiency with Greenhouse Recruiting applicant tracking system will be advantageous.

    The incumbent must be a detail-oriented professional with a high tolerance for dealing with ambiguity in a fast paced, quickly changing work environment in addition to being able to handle frequent interruptions and a shift in priorities.

    As part of this role, the Compliance Manager will help identify, create and enhance Center policies, systems, and processes to ensure compliance with legal and grant requirements.  The Compliance Manager will provide strategic input and operational support to Center staff throughout the proposal/award lifecycle. The Compliance Manager will assist in the development and rolling out of compliance trainings to build staff and partner capacity, with the goal of mitigating risk and maintaining compliance with donor requirements.

    The Compliance Manager will be based in Nairobi, Kenya. The Center currently operates in a hybrid model, allowing staff to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
    Primary Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with the Office of the General Counsel in the development and/or enhancement of Center policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and award requirements.

    Qualifications:

    The Role: The Legal Strategies, Innovation and Research (LSIR) Department is looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and highly organized legal fellow with a commitment to reproductive rights issues to engage in a variety of legal research and writing projects. LSIR serves as the central focal point for innovation, legal strategy development, global alignment, and thought leadership within the Programs Department. The legal fellow may be based out of any of the Center’s offices where they have work authorization (Bogota, Colombia; Geneva, Switzerland; Nairobi, Kenya; New York, New York; or Washington D.C.) in a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
    This fellowship will provide the successful candidate with an in-depth understanding of the key reproductive rights issues at the global and regional levels, strong legal research and writing skills, and experience using legal advocacy and international human rights law to advance reproductive rights around the world.
    Primary Responsibilities: Legal Strategies, Innovation & Research Legal Fellows support the Center’s global priorities and are responsible for legal and policy analysis on a variety of global reproductive rights issues, including by:

    Conducting legal and policy research and analysis on international and regional human rights law, as well as comparative national-level law;
    Assisting in the development and drafting of fact sheets, articles, and other advocacy documents positioning reproductive rights as fundamental human rights;
    Supporting thought leadership initiatives to advance key reproductive rights issues globally;
    Conducting legal research and analysis on national-level abortion laws to advance the Center’s groundbreaking World Abortion Laws Map;
    Engaging with legal experts across the Center to support the development and operationalization of legal principles on key reproductive rights topics, including abortion, maternal health, assisted reproduction and capacity and consent;
    Providing technical assistance to other teams at the Center, as well as to partner non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other stakeholders, and;
    Using editing skills to assist with blue booking and fact-checking of reports, petitions, shadow letters, and other documents, as needed.

    Qualifications: Candidates with a degree in law and knowledge of international and regional human rights law are eligible to apply. Candidates should have demonstrated interest and experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equity and/or health rights. The candidate should be capable of complex legal analytical work and possess excellent writing, editing, research and oral advocacy skills.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Advocacy and Campaigns

    Design, oversee and implement a thought leadership strategy on advocacy and communications for Africa. Additionally provide strategic direction, oversight, coordination, priority setting, strategic planning, and delivery of advocacy efforts around key themes and moments.
    Design and implement campaigns that contribute to global and regional objectives and enlarge the team’s capability to communicate with locally resonant strategies and messages, evaluate results, and develop corrective strategies as needed
    Provide thought leadership on program development and influencing the agenda on policy/research and campaigning initiatives.
    Lead external representation for the Centre’s advocacy and policy goals; and capacity development initiatives to deepen the influencing approaches across the regional programs; and support and share key learnings and foster an environment for innovation.
    Ensure quality of programs on influencing agenda across Africa with human rights mechanisms and political bodies.

    Strategic Communications

    Lead and implement integrated strategic communications to grow the organization’s influence to shape the conversation around Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) among government and other sector audiences.
    Lead and oversee the external engagement strategy for data-driven and inspiring communications content to ensure feminist, human rights and broader SRHR movement intersectional approach across internal and external communications.
    Drive brand influence through innovative strategies tied to external, high-profile events which may include collaborations with partner NGOs, Conference of Parties etc.
    Oversee the development of best-in-class communications and marketing assets, including print materials and digital content.
    Oversight in development and implementation of media strategies, components, and growth of media relationships on behalf of the Centre.

    Partnerships

    Play a leading role in raising Centre’s profile in country and at the region through developing significant relationships with partners, allies, government development partners, INGOs, UN and the media.
    Build a network of new relationships (SRHR and media partners, communications leaders of partner organizations and influencers) to strengthen existing relationships and expand the reach and impact of the Center’s communications and messages.
    Develop and maintain the networks and working relationships with partners and stakeholders in sexual reproductive human rights.

    Leadership

    Primary Responsibilities:

    The scope of the internship includes, but is not limited to:

    Advocacy and Campaigns

    Design, oversee and implement a thought leadership strategy on advocacy and communications for Africa. Additionally provide strategic direction, oversight, coordination, priority setting, strategic planning, and delivery of advocacy efforts around key themes and moments.

    Lead and implement integrated strategic communications to grow the organization’s influence to shape the conversation around Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) among government and other sector audiences.
    Lead and oversee the external engagement strategy for data-driven and inspiring communications content to ensure feminist, human rights and broader SRHR movement intersectional approach across internal and external communications.
    Drive brand influence through innovative strategies tied to external, high-profile events which may include collaborations with partner NGOs, Conference of Parties etc.
    Oversee the development of best-in-class communications and marketing assets, including print materials and digital content.
    Oversight in development and implementation of media strategies, components, and growth of media relationships on behalf of the Centre.

    Partnerships

    Play a leading role in raising Centre’s profile in country and at the region through developing significant relationships with partners, allies, government development partners, INGOs, UN and the media.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Programs Resources Development and Stewardship:

    Working closely with the Development, Compliance, Finance and other relevant teams, ensure quality and functional systems, controls, tools, policies, guidelines, and processes for successful grants cycle management, from the pre-award to the closure phase, across all programs, including in internal and external program/project design, budgeting, internal approvals within the Programs Division, implementation, monitoring, reporting and learning.
    Working closely with the Associate Director-Program Business Development and Innovation (PMD) as well as the Development Department, oversee programs resources development (fundraising and pipelines) including research (including on funding opportunities, comparative systems/approaches), agreeing to funding thresholds, new compliance and accountability policies or standards and supporting regions to meet these standards or policies through, among others, capacity development support, internal reviews and feedback processes.
    Working closely with the Senior Programs Budget Manager (PMD) and other relevant staff/teams within and outside the Programs Division, ensure internal and external compliance and accountability for the Programs Division including functional and clear systems, tools and timelines and decision-making structures for program financial fiduciary management, reporting and compliance (such as Center/donor compliance and lobbying compliance).
    In close coordination with the Development Team and respective Program Departments, support the Program Division’s quality donor engagement and reporting including by systematizing, supporting, and coordinating quality narrative reporting to donors and other development partners, ensuring clear documentation of results for strategic communication to donors and other strategic partners.

    Global Programs operations Strategy development and implementation oversight:

    Lead in the design, definition, and implementation of the inaugural CRR programs operations and administrations strategy, standards, protocols, and tactical plans across the Programs Division and within the Center, including ensuring functional communication, workflows, timelines, responsibilities, and decision authority.
    Provide guidance and quality assurance to all program departments in developing and implementing annual plans in support of the Center’s strategic objectives and priorities.
    Manage Programs financial fiduciary processes for both internal and external processes within the Programs Division (including iterative prioritization, and regular planning, budgeting, reprojections and program financial risk management).
    Support the Deputy Director-Program Division in ensuring a functional and cohesive Program Management Department (PMD) team working under a clear structure and guided by workplans aligned to the Center’s strategies and document the PMD’s results/progress against targets including through effective supervision of all assigned PMD staff.
    Coordinating with the Office of Strategy and Operations in ensuring human resource capacity, optimization and safety and security across the Programs Division.

    Program Integration and Impact Reporting

    Oversee the Program Division’s translation of the technical results from all programs work into impactful case studies/stories for internal program reporting, including to the Executive Team and the Board, including ensuring appropriate and timely internal program reporting.
    Support efforts to ensure alignment between the Regions and the Center’s Strategy and support the integration of the Center’s programmatic strategies, systems, processes, and tactical plans to maximize impact.

    Any other roles as may be assigned including in cross-organizational or cross-functional initiatives under the Global Operating Model (GOM) critical to the Programs Division.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in relevant social sciences including law, public health, Management, or a related field required. Post-graduate qualifications such as master’s degree in relevant disciplines relating to law, international human rights, SRHR, international development and/or program management will be a significant advantage.
    12-15 years of professional experience, with a significant part being in program portfolio management for international non-profit organizations, particularly in the SRHR or the broader human rights sector.
    Demonstrated experience in program and project management, donor relations, report writing, strategy development and program risk management including highly developed experience in designing and managing complex programs.
    Demonstrated experience in program/project planning, budgeting, and reporting.
    Experience in organizational development and/or system/process improvement.
    Excellent writing and verbal communications skills including ability to present issues clearly, concisely and logically and communicate information, however complex, to non-experts.
    Professional language proficiency in English. Proficiency in Spanish and/or French would be an added advantage;
