    Job Description
    The communications team shapes One Acre Fund’s global brand and local reputation across Sub-Saharan Africa.     Responsibilities Include
    You’ll serve as the lead writer and editor for all one One Acre Fund audiences, ranging from U.S funders and policymakers and to East African government partners and prospective job applicants. You’ll also develop aspiring writers within the communications team and across the organization.

    Writing

    As an in-house reporter, you’ll identify compelling One Acre Fund stories and trends to share globally.
    Serve as lead author for our blog and core brand collateral (e.g., website, annual report)
    Propose and author op-eds to support One Acre Fund thought leadership in the U.S. and East Africa
    Proactively identify stories across our East African operations that would interest varied audiences
    Develop core messaging on One Acre Fund programs, policy positions, and hot topics

    Editing

    As our lead editor, you’ll ensure consistency of our content and develop the writing talents of others.
    Edit writing produced by communications team (blog posts, op-eds) for consistency and quality
    Develop a network of staff authors and work with them to write blog posts and op-eds
    Develop the interviewing and writing skills of our four communications officers
    Contribute to editorial strategy to raise One Acre Fund’s profile with East African job candidates

    Project Management

    You’ll establish strong processes for content production on our team and coordination with other teams.
    Contribute to the editorial calendar and communications team content production process

    Job Description: The Case Investigations Associate will mostly be based in the field, carrying out field visits to interview farmers and field staff, and collect statements. The information collected will be used to resolve farmer complaints around inputs, repayment and the quality of One Acre Fund services.
    The agents will be responsible for resolving all cases raised by farmers in the shortest time frame to the highest levels of satisfaction. This is very visible and important position that cuts across many departments at One Acre Fund and supports senior field directors in their execution duties as well as informing and guiding senior departmental heads on programmatic issues.
    Your Role
    Case Management

    Familiarize with all cases of farmer complaints through phone calls to One Acre Fund, through working with the Customer Service Call team
    Meet with the Customer Service Call Team each week to review open cases and ensure the investigation database is up to date
    Prioritize weekly cases to follow up and prepare a travel schedule
    Investigate and acquire relevant documentation including budgets and records for farmer refund payments, UAP insurance payments and inputs delivery documents to detect any anomalies and errors and launch investigations based on the following:
    UAP Insurance: work closely with expense auditor in charge of UAP payments to investigate complaints on this
    wrongly dropped farmers at qualifiers deadline
    refunds for dropped clients and refunds for overpayments
    customer care issues and staff harassment to farmers

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Financial Analysis and Driver of Sustainability. The FAS Associate is tasked with pushing the country towards sustainability; you will provide reports on district and country-wide spending to budget performance, and will oversee the measurement of Financial KPI’s, and detailed EOY projections that will include unexpected costs as well as financial risks, ensuring appropriate action. The Associate will provide analysis and recommendations for improved efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product pricing.
    Annual Budget Facilitator and Champion. With support from the rest of the Finance team, the FAS Associate will spearhead the annual budgeting process, including tools training, workshop facilitation with department heads and review of the compiled budgets.
    Country Finance point of contact. The FAS Associate will act as the main country representative and project manage a variety of finance-related projects by working to connect our FP&A, Accounting, and Treasury teams with country teams. The Associate will also be the main point of contact for the org-wide finance leadership on the Kenya program. This includes presenting the country’s monthly results to all finance leadership across the organization, including providing a clear and concise explanation of the analysis on current results and future risks and projections.

You will lead our relationship manager team, breaking new ground in identifying scalable funding sources that will drive One Acre Fund to put more food on the table for over 1 million farm families by 2020.
    Responsibilities
    The main position roles and responsibilities are across three main categories, including
    The Senior Business Development Director role will independently develop a pipeline of new grant funding using their own networks while providing critical people development and strategic leadership support to the broader Business Development team.

    70%+ of time spent on origination and growing a new donor portfolio.
    Attract new donors and close major gifts, preferably in the areas of individual and institutional giving. This will require networking and prospecting amongst some of the most thoughtful and forward-looking funders in the international development arena to grow One Acre Fund’s funding beyond $50M in 2018.
    Develop funding partnerships. Increasingly, many of our funding arrangements are strategic partnerships crafted around objectives that align with One Acre Fund’s long-term strategy. This role will help craft the strategy around these funding agreements, particularly with institutional donors. For example, our grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation aims to create a long-term platform for agricultural research and innovations that can scale to impact hundreds of thousands of smallholder farm families.

    Qualifications
    We are seeking an exceptional professional with 12+ years of work experience, a proven passion for fundraising, and a demonstrated commitment to international development. Candidates who fit the following criteria are strongly encouraged to apply:

    Proven fundraising experience, originating donor relationships and closing gifts, is required. In your cover letter please describe the major donors you have worked with and your role in building those relationships
    Speaks the language of business. Our donors are looking for someone with business fluency (communicates in financial sustainability, return on investment, impact per donor dollar, etc.). We are seeking someone with excellent external communication skills, and who speaks the language of business.
    Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. The candidate should be a highly organized team player, ready to work with our writing, finance, and compliance teams to manage new and existing donors.
    Demonstrated people development experience. Ideally has managed a team of 3 or larger.
    Strong existing networks in the philanthropic community to leverage past relationships to develop a strong pipeline of new donors and partnerships.
    Demonstrated understanding of and experience in international development or the social sector more broadly.
    Strongly align on values. We put a high premium on values. We want someone who has a true service orientation and humility – someone that puts our farmers before themselves.

    Job Description
    The Planning and Data Lead guides and manages the overall direction of the Data Unit of the Kenya Logistics Team, and leads the planning and data work for our Core Deliveries Unit. This person is responsible for ensuring all necessary planning, data gathering, analysis and reporting happens across both these units of the Logistics team. The Planning and Data Lead oversees all Inventory Data Management and works with the Logistics Team management to craft a long-term vision around the analysis and use of our data to improve delivery execution, reduce inventory loss and provide superior service to our farmers.
    Responsibilities of the Planning and Data Unit Lead will include:

    Oversee all payments and procurement operations for the Kenya Logistics Team
    Manage and improve Inventory Management systems, processes and controls
    Explore new ways to use Logistics data for advanced problem-solving
    Build, monitor and report on key tracking tools for staff & process performance
    Provide data-focused support for other units within the Kenya Logistics team
    Works with management to set and monitor team OKRs, KPIs and budgets
    Develop annual delivery expansion planning tools and oversee all expansion planning tasks
    Provide all necessary data support for annual Input Deliveries

    Broad knowledge and experience in:

    Using SAP Business Solutions for Inventory Management (or similar ERP/Inventory Management Software)
    Data visualization software / tools, preferred if this experience is with Microsoft’s Power BI tool

    Excellent skills in:

    Advanced Excel analysis
    including at least Pivot Tables, V-Lookup and Array Formulas
