    Job Description: The Government Relations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating our Local Government Relations Team across Western, Rift Valley, Nyanza, Central and Eastern regions.
    General responsibilities include team management and professional development, acting as a focal point for One Acre Fund departmental leadership for advice on government and regulatory questions, participating in stakeholder meetings, overseeing the production of quarterly reports, managing strategies to resolve government-related risks in the field.
    He/she will also play an active role in coordinating field events and act as a link between our field headquarters and our national and global Government Relations Team in Nairobi.
    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Coordinate the activities of six local government relations staff across Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, Central and Eastern regions
    Act as a key deputy and the main point of contact for all government relations inquiries from other departments at our Kakamega Headquarters, responding to questions and requests in a timely and comprehensive manner with minimal supervision from the manager
    Manage highest-level local government relationships with government officials (CECs, COs, CDAs) and regional regulators (KEPHIS, KALRO)
    Create and implement professional development initiatives for the Local Government Relations Team in all areas of operation
    Create efficiencies within the Local Government Relations Team through delegation and strategic use of staff resources
    Oversee the tracking and resolution of risks and issues affecting field-facing operations
    Track compliance of One Acre Fund operations with government regulations, oversee the team’s support to the Innovations, Field Operations, Logistics and Corporate Operations departments on licensing processes
    Oversee planning and execution on logistics for events that the Government Relations department holds in the field with local and national government officials as well as politicians
    Oversee timely preparation and delivery of quarterly reports to all levels of local government
    Review county strategies and policies, and advise One Acre Fund departments on next steps
    Use people management and project planning tools to coordinate Local Government Relations staff and adequately respond to requests from department heads
    Act as a focal point for the global and national Government Relations Department
    Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Government Relations Analyst or departmental leadership

    Qualifications

    Master’s degree in the field of agriculture, public relations, communication and community development, preferred.

The Global Monitoring and Evaluation Director will lead all M&E functions in the organization and be a key member of organizational leadership. The M&E team has a presence in all countries of operation and employs a full time staff of data collectors.

    Continue to deepen One Acre Fund evidence base including periodic experimental studies of our primary program impact on farmer profit as well as building evidence-based of secondary impacts on farmer quality of life.
    Ensure that One Acre Fund’s newly evolving work in the areas of agro-forestry and nutrition evaluation work have a strong evidence base and make pivotal contributions to some of the fastest growing organizational programs.
    Ensure the continuation of the highest quality of data collection and highest rigor of analysis that One Acre Fund has come to be associated with.
    Oversee the analysis and recommendations which inform that ability of organizational leaders to choose among multiple investments.

    The Program Design team consists of 21 HQ-based staff members, and another 80 field staff members operating in our expansion pilot. The Program Design Enrollment Associate is responsible for personally managing the two Enrollment Specialists.
    Specific tasks include facilitating impactful weekly check-ins with all reports, holding bi-annual coffee chats with all members of the team in their reporting lines, conducting bi-annual performance reviews for all staffers, and supporting on the creation and tracking of development areas through tools like development plans and path to promotions.
    The Program Design Enrollment Associate is responsible for ensuring that all team members in their reporting line receive the support they need to complete their project goals, while simultaneously supporting their professional development and providing them with stretch opportunities to grow their careers at One Acre Fund.

    Project Management

    The Enrollment Associate is responsible for analysing annual enrollment/marketing results, making strategic recommendations on annual strategy, and executing the annual planning process.
    Enrollment-related projects include:

    Building Yearly Marketing Strategy, reviewing last year’s performance with key stakeholders and running various analyses to determine marketing focus for the following season. Draw on the strategy throughout planning and execution to ensure that it is brought to life. Create all enrollment related training and materials for field officers.

    Lead Strategic Research and Analysis to Increase Scale, determining further research needs to improve on marketing and enrollment for the Kenya program. Execute on all necessary qualitative field research, phone surveys, and data analysis effectively and synthesize into usable reports to help guide the program in making data-driven marketing decisions

    Leadership

    Contribute to setting Program Design Annual Objective Key Results (OKRs), and responsible for the execution and follow up of all OKR’s under Enrollment

    Carefully manage the budget of all project work, which totals to more than $800,000. This specialist will manage our Field Office Support (FOS) team (50+ staff) which facilitates weekly execution of our program in the Field and the Centralized Execution Audit (CEA) team (10-15 staff) which audits weekly execution.
    Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
    Strategy and Vision

    Contribute to the Field Operations 5 Year Plan, annual ‘Objectives and Key Results’ goals and planning processes for the Field Operations Execution Team.

    Coordinate with Expansion, Field Staff Management and Business Operations teams to reconfigure incentive delivery to sites and districts that have changed and support update process for backend changes in Roster and the Field Staff List to reflect the updated district configuration.

    Direct oversight of the CEA team (12 staff)
    Facilitate creation of tools and materials to make survey tracking and completion more efficient by the CEA team
    Monitor execution of ongoing weekly surveys facilitated by the two units within the CEA team (Strategy and Impact).

    Serve as direct management line to 3 mid-level management staff who oversees significant sub-teams (Field Office Support and Centralized Execution Audits). All told, oversee 64 full time staff.
    Management will include oversight, weekly reporting meetings, performance reviews and development, strategic direction and support.
    Ensure that all staff receive effective mentorship to promote career growth and capacity to handle the organization’s rapid growth.
    Personally lead training sessions for senior staff members.
    Lead and support hiring of staff members within your sub-team.

    Qualifications

    At minimum, a bachelor’s degree is required for this position with strong demonstrated previous work experience
    People management experience is a huge plus

S/he will take ownership of data management within supply chain operations for our Global Sourcing team that could involve working with stakeholders across: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda Malawi, Burundi, and Zambia.
    The SAP Data Supervisor’s responsibilities will include:

    Preparing / drafting Payment requests for the Teams’ procured items
    Liaising with the Finance team to process all teams’ payment request for procured items/services
    Entering real time data into SAP daily
    Enter Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipt Purchase Orders, invoices, landed costs, and AR Invoices as required by clients
    Run open reports weekly and request documents from purchasers as needed according to due delivery and payment due dates
    Tracking all Purchase Orders both physically and in the SAP System
    Working with the team to track goods delivery and Quantities delivered
    Other duties as assigned by your manager

The Policy and Partnerships Analyst will enhance the Senior Vice President’s leadership capacity by providing executive and strategic support in a one-on-one working relationship. This person will report directly to the Senior Vice President and will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on everything from cross-departmental systems to external partnerships.The ideal candidate has strong experience working in a support role to senior-level staff.
