    To increase One Acre Fund’s impact to 10 million farmers by 2030, we are accelerating program extensions and rolling out an omni-channel approach. This makes us operate in a more dynamic environment with all-year-long purchases and parallel demand flows. This requires our processes, tools and practices to become more agile and our prices to be market competitive with agrovets.     Responsibilities

    As Omni-channel Procurement Project Specialist you will:

    Adapt procurement processes, systems and tools to serve different channels more effectively.
    Build a market price benchmarking tool and integrate it into the purchasing operations.
    Shadow, support and validate continuously your work with the different product procurement teams and country program teams. Solutions should be scalable to all countries and all products.
    Report into the Global Sourcing Supply Chain team lead who coaches and supports you in driving strategic projects forward.

    About The Role

    One Acre Fund relies on grant funding to support our operational deficit, but also takes on debt to finance working capital needs. You will join the Investor Relations team at One Acre Fund, which manages our debt needs, identifies and grows relationships with lenders, and does financial modeling to inform borrowing decisions

    The Investor Relations team is a team of 3 people, based in NY, and part of the larger Finance Division. You will report to the Investor Relations manager, and work with other members of the Finance Department across the USA and East Africa. The internship is remote-friendly.

    Responsibilities

    Lender Relationship Management Support and Due Diligence: You will prepare materials for lenders to support due diligence and proposals submissions. Materials will include financial information and summaries of One Acre Fund’s operations.
    Reporting: You will help prepare our quarterly lender report, including the analyses of One Acre Fund’s performance against budget. You will also assist the Investor Relations team with other loan compliance tasks (monitoring questionnaires, interest payments)
    Financial Modeling: You will support financial modeling projects (forecasts, FX risk) in collaboration with the larger Finance Division

    Project Manage Long-Term Financial Strategy. We use long-term planning to chart a path to sustainable growth for our nine countries and $200m+ budget. You will lead the process and push for the right balance between impact ($ that a farmer earns), scale (# of farm families we serve), and sustainability ($ it costs us to serve a farmer).
    Build strong models and systems: You will be the technical lead in our reporting and budgeting processes. So you will have responsibility over improving our current tools and systems we use for all external reporting and internal planning.
    Standardize Countries’ Financial Decisions. You will develop best practices and standardizations for diverse projects throughout the firm such as pricing, expansion, target setting, management structure, R&D trials. You will work through the FAS team to improve operational decisions.

    Working within the Kenya Logistics department, and reporting to the Logistics PA (Delivery Operations), the deliveries specialist will manage 2 direct and about 30 indirect reports. You will manage all plans of input deliveries each year and promote all operational excellence work for the Unit.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage all planning activities for smooth input deliveries by ensuring the availability of warehousing capacity, staff capacity (skill, training, etc.), and equipment.
    Work with Logistics managers and help build all operational improvements for the Deliveries Unit by promoting the creation of solution-based process innovations. The unit leader will also oversee improvement projects and trials initiated by the country and global teams.
    Serve as the lead interdepartmental and intradepartmental coordination lynchpin for logistics delivery operations. Be the central contact for all Deliveries Unit team members and clients.
    Manage primary responsibility for all inventory management and reconciliations at all Warehouses. Working in close collaboration with the Data Unit lead to ensure the integrity of inventory information reported at the warehouse level.
