    Requirements:

    A mean grade of C+ and above in KCSE
    Minimum of 5 years experience in high-end hotel, restaurants or diplomatic residence is required
    Hold a diploma(s) in hospitality management
    Should speak fluent English
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Knowledge of Japanese language will be an added advantage
    Proficiency in computer usage especially Word and Excel is desirable
    Should have no criminal record and is required to submit a certificate of good conduct

    Key Responsibilities:

    Overall management of the Ambassador’s Residence
    Preparation of fine dining, food and beverage service and support to the kitchen staff
    Cleaning and maintenance of common areas and guest rooms

    Candidates who meet the above criteria should submit a copy of National ID, hard copies of their CVs with a passport size photograph, a copy of diploma(s), reference letter(s) from previous employer(s), a valid certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations directly at the main security desk inside the Embassy premises, to reach the Embassy on or before Monday 24th April 2023.Working Conditions, etc:Only qualified candidates should apply.
    Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Embassy for a further selection process. Candidates who will be considered will go through a practical test, a writing test and an oral interview.     The Embassy of Japan in seeking to recruit a candidate to fill in a vacant post for a Clerk at the Japan Information & Culture Centre (JICC).
    Qualifications and Experience:

    A relevant university degree from a recognised university
    Experience in media relations
    Knowledge of social media management
    Highly skilled in graphic design, especially using MS Publisher and Adobe Illustrator
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Knowledge and appreciation of the Japanese culture, and/or Japanese language skills, preferred
    Basic website management is an added advantage

    Key Responsibilities:

    Media Relations (prepare press kits, facilitate engagement with media, media monitoring, manage media database)
    Digital Communication (create digital resources for use on social media, manage Embassy social media accounts, report digital analytics)
    Content Creation (draft flyers, brochures, pamphlets, posters and advertisements for JICC events)
    Assist with meetings and event organisation
    Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department
