    Job Purpose

    Drivers are responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are maintained in good order to ensure smooth mobility of employees of the Agency.

    Job Specification
    The duties and responsibilities of the Officer will entail: –

    Driving the Service vehicle as authorized;
    Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;
    Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;
    Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;
    Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles;
    Overseeing transport management in the absence of the Principal Driver;
    Preparing and submitting reports on transport when need arises; and
    Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein.

    Person Specification
    For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –

    At least served in the grade of Driver for at least four (4) years;
    A Diploma Education Certificate or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
    The Occupational Trade Test II Certificate;
    A valid driving license free from any current endorsements(s) for classes of the vehicles the driver is required to drive;
    A defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification from any other recognized institution;
    A valid Certificate of Good Conduct;
    A First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. Johns
    Ambulance or any other recognized institution;
    An accident free driving period of 5 years; and
    Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

    Reports To: The Principal Civil Engineer
    Duties and Responsibilities

    Reviews Designs of Water Treatment Plants, its Associated Processes and Technologies.
    Reviews the Designs, Planning, Coordination and Management Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Processes from the Water Treatment Plant.
    Assists in the Preparation of Tender Documents; Ensures that BOQs and Scope of Works are consistent with the designs for WTP.
    Provides supervision and technical assistance in the implementation of the designs.
    Provides training and technical assistance to QA/QC for tendered works on treatment plants.
    Coordinates the preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals for new and rehabilitated WTP and WWTP.
    Coordinates field Operations Specifically by Conducting and managing the field/site visits and detailed assessments of the Water Treatment Plants in operation;
    Conducts Technical Audits of water treatment plants and operating practices.
    Prepares Operational and Maintenance Plans/Schedules, Coordination and Execution of Planned Maintenance for Water Treatment Plants, its Processes, the Associated Terminal Reservoirs/Tanks, etc.
    Manages the Materials and Chemicals Stores Associated with Water Treatment Plants.
    Supervises the Day-to-Day Operation and maintenance of Water Treatment Plants including coordination of Dosing of requirements for Water Treatment Plant Processes.
    Supervises the Water Sampling, Water Quality (WQ) Testing, Recording and Analysis of WQ Results, for both Influent and Effluent to meet the required the Government of Kenya standard and the Preparation of all Outputs to meet Internal and External needs (Regulatory and Other).
    Liaises on behalf of CWWDA with Relevant Government Offices as required including all relevant Regulatory Bodies, and Functions.
    Maintains a continued compliance with OSHA standards.
    Carries out Treatment Plant Performance Analysis and Reporting.
    Prepares Operating budget for the Operation and Maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant including Chemical Budget; Chemical Cost; Labour Cost; Equipment Costs; Flow, Chemical, Control and Electronic Devices, etc.).
    Carries-out additional but related tasks assigned by the Agency.

    Requirements

    A First Degree in Civil or Chemical and Process Engineering with 5 years of experience in Water Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance (with Minimum Daily Water Production Capacity above 30,000 m3/day).
    Experience in WTP Design and Construction Project Management as a member of a Contracting Authority.
    Willing to stay in Mombasa to Supervise the Design and Construction and Operation of the Water Treatment Plant for a minimum of 3-4 years after completion
    Registered by the Engineers’ Registration Board of Kenya and be a corporate member of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya.

    Job Description:

    The Manager, Human Resource and Administration will be reporting to the Chief Corporate Services Manager and  will be responsible for offering advisory services to management on HR and Administration matters and deal with all staff matters including recruitment & selection, placement, retention, training and development, discipline, administration of staff welfare and separation.
    Responsibilities:

    Forecasting and planning on human resource needs
    Managing the Corporation’s recruitment and selection process
    Coordination of training and development of staff in the agency
    Coordination of staff performance management, reward and sanctions system
    Development of  agency’s mentoring and coaching programs
    Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the staff succession plans, development, mentoring, coaching and internship programs
    Advising the Management on matters relating to human resources management, records and administration
    Review and development of the human resource, records and administration policies, procedures and processes and oversee their implementation
    Management, maintenance and storage staff records
    Overseeing the payroll processing and ensuring compliance to statutory obligations
    Championing change management programs in the agency
    Coordinating the preparation of periodic progress reports
    Development of Human Resources, Records and Administration budget and work plan
    Oversee records management
    Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations related to Health & Safety, HIV/AIDS, Alcohol and Drug Substance Abuse, Gender and Disability Mainstreaming;
    Leading and managing   Trade union matters  in the organization.

      Qualifications:
    For appointment to this  position, potential candidate  must  have :-

    Eight(8) years relevant work experience; five (5) years should be in  Human Resource management
    Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines; Human Resource Management,  Business Administration,  social science or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
    Post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management  from a recognized institution
    Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
    Be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management;
    Valid practicing certificate;
    Proficiency in computer applications;
    Good communication and interpersonal skills;
