Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities of all Technicians

Providing technical support to the trainers and trainees.
Maintaining workshop inventories by receiving, issuing tools and materials in the workshop
Carrying out routine maintenance of machines and equipment
Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and workshop facilities.
Preparing maintenance schedule for all the workshop equipment
Observing and ensuring health and safety procedures are practiced and enforced in the workshop.
Ensuring cleanliness of machines/equipment and orderly work areas

Minimum Requirements

Be a KNEC Diploma holder in Food Science Technology.
Must be below 45 years of age.
Minimum 2 years’ experience preferably in a TVET training institution.

HELB clearance
EACC compliance certificate

ICT Officer

Job Details

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Information Communication Technology/Computer Science
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a training environment
Must be below 45 years of age
In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
Comply with chapter 6 of the constitution (acquire certificates of clearance from Higher Education Loans Board, a tax compliance certificate from KRA, certificate of good conduct and Ethics and Anti-corruption commission certificate)

Responsibilities

Developing, reviewing and implementing Information Communication Technology standards, policy and regulatory framework within the Polytechnic;
Ensuring repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment;
Advising on procurement of ICT software;
Providing advisory services to departments/divisions/sections/units on matters related to ICT;
Supervising setting and configuring of Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN & WAN);
Taking charge of daily computer operations;
Supervising operations at the computer laboratories;
Training the Polytechnic’s staff on the use of computers and relevant software packages;
Developing customized applications;
Carrying out research and development on ICT standards, guidelines and approaches and coordinating their constant and efficient applications in the Polytechnic; and
Liaising with hardware vendors for administration of guarantees and warranties.

Building and Civil Engineering Technicians

Job Summary: To provide technical support to the trainers and contribute to trainees learning experience by assisting with the preparations of materials,use of plumbing equipment and wood working machines for practical work; be able to perform routine testing of construction materials and have proficiency ¡n the use of modern surveying equipment.
Job Specifications

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C- (Minus) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution or D (Plain) with a certificate in Building Technology/ Civil Engineering.
Diploma in Building Technology or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Certificate in Computer applications
A valid certificate of good conduct
Knowledge of Occupation Health and Safety
At least three (3) years4 experience preferably from a learning institution
Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Should not be more than 45 years old.

To plan, develop and monitor the implementation of internal audit strategies and annual audit plans for the Polytechnic; perform duties in planning, managing and conducting operational and compliance audits; develop comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations; provide professional recommendations in formulating policies and procedures to ensure sound systems of internal control and compliance; develop and implement risk management policies and guidelines and fraud detection, prevention and elimination policies and strategies.
Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
CPAK holder.
Membership to Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK) or relevant professional body.
Knowledge in Computer literacy, Budgeting, relevant legislation and Professional standards.
At least five (5) years’ experience in the grade of Internal Auditor or in a comparable and relevant position preferably in a learning institution.
Demonstrate merit and show ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Should not be more than 45 years old.
