    Job description

     
    Our client a local tour company seeks to hire a qualified and experienced tour consultant. The tour consultant’s main role is to create tour packages and market them to our clients while providing a memorable experience.

    Responsibilities

    Responding to inquiries regarding hotels & safaris within 24hrs
    Create and sell innovative tour packages to meet market demand
    Prepare itineraries to the various destinations of interest
    Making flight quotations
    Doing tour bookings – both inbound and outbound
    Ensuring KWS park rules & hotel regulations are clearly explained to tourists
    Ensuring payment for each tour booking is received in advance or proper authorization is received from a corporate prior to credit sale
    Maintaining good relationships with hotels, car hire, sightseeing attraction and other service providers for best competitive contract rates
    Ensure bookings that are not confirmed are cancelled in time to avoid cancellation penalties
    Ensure clients’ special requests especially on accommodation & room specification, driver guide language, meals and others are pre-arranged for the clients convenience
    Coordinating with other team in arranging flying & ground packages
    Making follow-ups for tour quotations
    Ensuring that tours quotations are competitive
    Inclusions, exclusions as well as terms & conditions of a quotation should be highlighted to reduce disputes with clients

    Qualifications

    Certificate or Diploma or Degree in Tour operations or tourism management or related field
    Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience as Tour/travel consultant in a busy environment
    Ability to use various tours/hotel booking systems
    Must have IATA qualification
    Experience inbound and outbound tours is preferred
    Knowledge of GDS an advantage
    Great communication and interpersonal skills

    Our client is a leading FMCG distributor they seek to hire a Legal Officer to play a leading position in the business by providing legal leadership across the business.
    Key Responsibilities

    Analyzing and identifying the legal risks and implications of all of the business’s transactions,
    Keeping the senior management in all departments of the business informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business
    S/he is tasked with the implementation of key legal processes that relate to legal drafting, negotiations, and commercial settlement agreements.
    Leading in the management of the business resources and budget allocation for the business’s legal activity.
    Mentor to key legal department staff, encouraging their professional growth, and grooming them for the occupation of his position in future.
    Provide senior leadership across the business with strategic and operational guidance, aiding them in the management of litigation issues such as contract disputes and product liability
    Reviewing and providing advice to the business on matters concerning applicable contracts required for operation of the business.
    Instruct and assist external legal partners where necessary identifying potential legal risks and assessing the issues impacting legal risk, which ensures that all of the business’s risk management approaches are viable.
    Collaboratively work with departmental leadership and key stakeholders across the business in overseeing and ensuring legal compliance across the business, maintaining the business’s integrity both internally and externally (reputational risk).
    Work with departmental leadership across the business in identifying and managing potential legal risk
    Ensure that there are efficient high impact policies such as anti-bribery and corruption, financial transaction compliance, and so forth
    Conducts appraisals for staff;
    Performs any other duties assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited law school and at least 3 years of working experience in a legal corporate environment
    More than  1years experience in a senior position in a commercial organization

    Ability to identify and remedy complex legal issues without inviting the services of external legal advice
    Exceptionally good communication skills (articulate) coupled with good listening and critical reasoning skills.
    Must be a result-driven and service-driven individual, must have exceptionally good problem solving skills, be highly adaptable and flexible, work comfortably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, have an ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and meet tight deadlines, be proactive and self-motivated, have a keen eye for detail, and have an ability to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress.
    Must possess exceptionally good leadership skills having ability to influence cross-functional teams towards a unified direction along with the business’s senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
    S/He must also be a likable and relatable individual who is capable of building strong and long-lasting bonds with others. He will be able to inspire trust and confidence in others who will then trust in his insights and judgments and readily follow in his directives.
    Good report writing skills
    Conflict resolution, persuasion, problem solving, crisis management and decision making skills.
    Good presentation skills.

    Submitting periodical report to manager includes sales, weekly stock shop information report, survey report of competitive products, information of distributor, etc.
    Following up the orders supplied and managing the promoters
    Assisting the customers to improve the products display, maintain sales records, customer database, and customer relationship and develop new wholesalers.
    Perfecting the structure of distributors developing new potential market and new distributors.

    Qualification

    Liaise and negotiating with suppliers on pricing.
    Creation and regular updating of a database of all suppliers
    Constantly negotiate with all suppliers for better pricing and better terms.
    Create yearly reviews and ratings for each suppliers
    Ensure all procurement is done within the shortest possible time frame.
    Constantly following up with suppliers to ensure no delays in supplies
    Negotiate with suppliers and attempt to get set prices for long periods of time
    Create LPO’s in Orion & follow up for the goods received
    Changing existing pricing in events of special offers, price increases or decreases
    Entering/changing prices for spare parts received
    Maintaining a databased of all suppliers
    Monthly reports as per requirement of management

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
    Degree in Procurement, Purchasing & Supplies or equivalent
