    Location: Based in Kisumu with frequent travel to surrounding regions
    Job Expectations and Scope: The Solar Technician is in charge of troubleshooting the field issues reported by the end-customers regarding the solar home system kit (battery box, router, torch, radio, lamps, PV panel etc.).
    The role requires the service technician to train the customer agents on the products operation and installation, additionally he will be the first point of contact for the customer and will be providing support and guidance regarding the solar system kit.
    Key Responsibilities

    Troubleshoot various solar system to identify problems
    Be the first point of contact for Rural Spark’s distribution partner regarding field technical issues
    Perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and solar equipment
    Provide remote/on-site guidance and support to distribution partners
    Provide customer/installer trainings, and advise customers concerning equipment operation
    Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed and parts used
    Assist the product management teams to define and improve customer experience

    Desired Skills and Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree/diploma in electrical engineering, electronics or Solar Energy
    Experience with and/or an understanding of solar energy systems
    Hands-on experience and understanding of electronic system and components: AC – DC, Power supply, loads, inverters and transformers.
    Demonstrated experience with electronic circuit/PCB handling, troubleshooting, component soldering, electronic equipment’s installation and cabling
    Demonstrated knowledge of electrical measurement and troubleshooting tools: Multimeter and Oscilloscope.
    Experience with electronic devices repair like mobile phones or other PCB based devices
    Basic knowledge of PC serial communication, Microcontrollers and Firmware Loading
    Effective communication skills in English and local languages
    Position requires regular travel within Kenya
    Proficient with basic computer software and online platforms (Word, Excel, Dropbox, Outlook/Email)
    Good communication and customer service skills
    Solar PV T1, T2 certification from ERC is an added advantage

    Marketing Officer

    Job Summary: The Marketing Officer will be responsible for overall marketing strategy for the company, managing branding and brand awareness in different platforms and media. S/He will be incharge of Mwezi’s image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.
    The officer will be expected to be up-to-date and be conversant with the latest digital technologies and social media, and mass media trends. You should have a high level of creativity, experience in developing and promoting brands, excellent communication skills and experience in developing and executing both Below the Line and Above the Line marketing contents.
    Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
    Overall Brand promotion

    Perform research on current benchmark trends and Mwezi’s audience preferences
    Collaborate with other teams like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency.
    Plan, prepare and manage the publication and distribution of publicity materials
    Plan, coordinate and execute marketing campaigns in coordination with the sales teams
    Organize and manage a calendar of marketing events, such as promotions, exhibitions, product launches, workshops, open days or fundraising activities
    Represent the company at major collaborative and marketing events
    Write, edit and proofread marketing material for use in different channels
    Coordinate with outside agencies, for example designers and suppliers, to produce marketing materials such as stationery, flyers, posters and other marketing merchandise with respect to Mwezi branding requirements.
    Ensure consistent brand display in shops, offices, communication platforms and amongst the field teams at all times.

    Social Media management

    Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
    Communicate with online followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
    Oversee social media accounts’ design, manage posts and reporting on such activity on a regular basis (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
    Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
    Manage online customer feedback, generate sales leads and forward to relevant departments.
    Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
    Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.

    Liaise with other Mwezi partners to assist with the management and improvement of the Mwezi website and web content on an ongoing basis

    Mass Media engagement

    Identify and mobilize other media like radio, TV stations for ongoing products promotions and increased brand awareness.
    Develop content relevant for Mwezi customer base for promotions in audio-visual media platforms on a regular basis bearing in mind different languages.
    Develop content and use SMS broadcast platforms to run promotions and engage customers and obtain feedback that leads to sales conversion.
    Report on the impact of company media engagement and provide recommendations for improvement to the management.
    Other relevant duties as requested as pertain to this position and company aspirations.

    Minimum Requirements

    A Bachelor’s Degree in any Business related field
    At least 3 years work experience in Marketing and brand promotion
    Hands on experience in both ATL and BTL content management and promotions
    Excellent knowledge on copyright law
    Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video) is required
    Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics is desired
    Knowledge and experience on online marketing channels is required
    Familiarity with Audio visual content production is desired
    Previous experience in Solar Products Marketing and promotions is an advantage

    Position Reports to:Director Sales and Marketing
    Summary of Position: To support the promotion of Mwezi Solar, low cost, off-grid solar products in the Lake Basin Region of Kenya following laid down procedures as required; liaison with Sales Coordinators, Community Field Officers, Field Sales Agents to promote Mwezi Solar products; to coordinate Procurement process and Inventory Management functions to improve efficiency.
    Duties and Responsibilities

    The position holder will be responsible for preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, and issuing goods to different distribution sites.
    Undertake stock management and ensuring sufficient stock availability in the warehouse all the time.
    Responsible for receiving requisitions from different distribution sites and ensuring stock dispatch to the sites on a timely basis.
    Maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems and the available technology for stock management and control.
    Be responsible for preparing the reports on any changes done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc., and coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.
    To maintain record of products received as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness of the inventory records.
    To be involved in reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system
    To oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly manner so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever needed.
    Be incharge of stock control and ensure that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse
    To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated site managers.
    To supervise the offloading process, consignment verification and secure storage of consignment.
    To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking.
    Responsible for keeping a close eye on the movement of stock from in and out of the warehouse at any time.
    Be involved in preparing periodic reports of all the activities in the warehouse like the consignment received, the quantity of items received, dispatches, and outstanding balance.
    Liaise with different site managers and other departments to plan delivery of stock to different sites.
    To develop and adopt the best operational procedures and practices for inventory control through review of the current approaches and making appropriate adjustments.
    To continually find out any discrepancies arising in the reported stock figures and determines the root cause for the issue found.
    Be involved in performing all the procedures and activities concerned with the management of the inventory other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Required Qualification

    At least a Diploma in business management or logistics or supply chain management or related field from a recognized institution.
    At least two (2) years’ experience working in a similar or related position is desired
    Good team leadership and management skills
    Must be Computer literate with excellent MS Excel skill
    Highly organized and strong attention to detail is mandatory.
    Strong leadership skills and ability to take tough decisions
    Excellent communication with good reporting skills.
    Should have good planning and numeric skills and strong attention to detail.
    Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    Experience with forecasting, quantification, and procurement planning
