    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Document Preparation – Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including contracts, agreements, subpoenas, pleadings, and correspondence. Ensure accuracy and adherence to established legal guidelines.
    Research and Analysis – Conduct legal research using various resources, such as online databases and legal publications, to gather information and support the legal team in their decision-making process.
    Case Management – Assist in managing legal cases by organizing and maintaining case files, retrieving relevant documents, and tracking important deadlines and court appearances.
    Meeting Support- Coordinate and schedule legal department meetings, compile meeting agendas, and take Minutes during legal discussions.
    Record Keeping – Maintain organized and up-to-date legal records and databases, ensuring easy access to critical information when required.
    Teamwork and collaboration- Work objectively with the hospital staff in driving the hospital strategic objectives.
    Administrative Support – Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including managing calendars, answering phone calls, handling correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
    Policy Review – Participate in the review and update of hospital policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
    Legal Updates – Stay informed and advise on changes in relevant laws and regulations that may impact the hospital and its operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB)
    Admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya
    Minimum of 1 year working experience post admission
    Experience in Contract drafting and document preparation
    Must have valid membership and hold a valid Practicing Certificate.
    Be a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Evidence of proficiency in computer applications; such as Excel and PowerPoint Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

    Reporting to the Risk and Quality Improvement Manager, the overall purpose of this role is to oversee the implementation of quality improvement by analysing, identifying, monitoring quality programs and ensuring quality improvement systems are maintained in accordance with best practice Standards.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Leadership and direction – Support the implementation of Quality improvement program for the hospital. Provides professional advice on operational excellence throughout the hospital. Planning, priority setting and decision making to ensure that quality and risk management is implemented across the organization.
    Performance and Process Improvement (PPI) – Provides support and coordination to department and service leaders for quality improvement measures and activities across the hospital.
    Facilitate development of standards, policies and procedures for quality improvement.
    Monitoring and Evaluation – Implements a monitoring and evaluation frameworks for quality improvement in the hospital. Develops monitoring and audit tools for all quality aspects in the hospital, coordinates a leads a monitoring and evaluation team. Provides leadership and support for all teams during the process.
    Data analysis, Validation, Benchmarking and Reporting – Implements data analysis and data validation policies and procedures. Initiates and develops implementation of data collection and subsequent improvements. Supports departments and teams in analysis of quality data relevant to their departments, offers support and guidance on the same as required. Participates in benchmarking, both internal and external benchmarking.
    Coaching, Mentoring and Training – Mentor and develop teams on quality improvement in assigned departments. Develop and participate in regular quality improvement trainings.
    Research and Innovation – Participate in quality improvement research to ensure the hospital keeps improving in line with best practice and evidence based practices. Regularly innovate or recommend innovative solutions which will solve quality and patient safety challenges in the hospital.
    Regulatory and accreditation –Participate in AMUA; JCI Accreditation standard implementation across the whole hospital, and act as the JCI Survey coordinator.
    Participate in ISO standards implementation and KAIZEN implementation process.
    Risk Management – Implement an effective risk management program in the designated department(s). Participate in risk management activities.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
    Basic Certification in Healthcare Quality
    At least 3 years’ relevant experience in hospital setting; Clinical or quality improvement
    Must have valid practicing licence
    Must be computer literate

    Record keeping: Drive transparency and complete audit trail of transactions by receiving invoices and all relevant supporting documents as guided by policies and standards. The position holder shall also be responsible for posting/creating of invoice entries into the ERP systems.
    Reconciliations: Drive accuracy of financial records and create alignment of stakeholder expectations by maintaining up-to-date supplier/ vendor/ private doctors account statements, conducting reconciliations and amending discrepancies accordingly referring to M.P Shah Hospital’s bank transactions and the vendor account statements.
    Payments Processing: Honour M.P Shah’s contractual obligations and value propositions to its accounts payables by preparing timely payments to vendors including private doctors, supported by all relevant documentation as per hospital policies for prompt approval and settlement.
    Debtor remittance Allocations: By ensure all remittances received are allocated within 5 working days
    Compliance: Warrant M.P Shah Hospitals compliance to all statutory obligations relating to vendor payments by preparing and submitting accurate relevant tax deductions and claims including and not limited to VAT, Withholding VAT and Withholding Taxes as guided by the law. This is to further prevent financial loss to the hospital from fines and penalties.
    Reporting: Inform decision-making and the cash flow planning processes by generating relevant reports including but not limited to ageing reports and insurance schedules and sharing insights with the rest of the team.
    Protection of company’s assets: Ascertain the validity and accuracy of financial records held by the M.P Shah Hospital by participating in stock-taking exercises planned by the department and preparation of documentation required during Audits, the position holder shall also be expected to conduct all activities with strict adherence to the internal control systems set up by the hospital.

    Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the overall purpose is to enable the delivery of a high-quality service to end users, and to ensure service support and service delivery processes are in place to meet the hospitalʻs needs. The role is responsible for coordinating IT service management processes, including the day-to-day management of support requirements including third-party suppliers of leased services, supporting ICT project delivery, as well as the leadership and coordination of in-house teams supporting business as usual ICT services.
    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Standard Operating Procedures – Facilitate the development of the operational processes and standard operating procedures within the purview of ICT support services in line with IT best practices
    Manage Operations – Monitor and manage computer and laptop support, printing services, audio-visual services, repair and maintenance of end-user computers and laptops, VOIP and phone support functions by reporting, classifying and prioritising incidents to resolve, recover and close incidents to ensure optimal service
    Procurement – Assist in identifying and advising the CIO on the hospital’s procurement requirements of computer hardware and software (licenses). This includes maintaining inventory records of all hardware and software used at the hospital.
    Vendor Management – Align out-sourced or leased services with M.P Shah Hospital’s needs and expectations by monitoring and maintenance of SLAs to ensure adherence to levels defined within negotiated Service Level Agreements, and contracts
    Maintain Hardware Asset Register detailing ICT equipment required to support and deliver IT services used by the hospital, and identify, analyse and manage associated information risks. Enhance and manage the desktop computing environment to ensure that laptops, PCs and other access devices are maintained to high standards of performance and security
    Risk management – Identify, assess, and control risks by analysing incidences and problems raised through the service desks and evaluating the impact of the business and coming up with mitigation procedures
    Support business continuity – Establish and maintain a plan to enable the business and IT to respond to disruptions in order to allow continuous operation by implementing business continuity response with a strong focus on the interaction required with the patient
    Performance Management: Align the efforts of the departmental employees by translating the divisional objectives into actionable initiatives and effectively cascading them to staff to ensure accountability and drive the execution of the plans

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information communication and technology or a related field
    Certifications in ITIL and computer hardware and software courses
    (three) years of experience working in a similar role.

    Tenders – Oversee the tendering process including supplier pre-qualification, selection, contracting, review the proposals and tender award processes in a timely and transparent manner. Ensure systematic tender process for the procurement department.

    The Consultant paediatrician will be responsible for the clinical care of patients in the paediatric department and will report to the Head of department-Paediatrics.     Providing Operational Leadership for the clinical services to ensure cost effective and efficient service delivery in line with hospital vision, mission and objectives.
    Monitor medical service delivery within agreed frameworks.
    Preparing quality, timely progress reports of projects/processes as assigned by the Medical Officer in charge
    Participate in Recruitment, mentorship and supervision of staff in the satellite clinic
    Overseeing of safe patient care.
    Liaison between doctors and satellite administration.
    Supervise/create and maintain an objective, well-balanced, cost saving and feasible duty roster of all staff in units to ensure coverage of units including organizing for locum staff cover during emergencies and scheduled leave.
    Training, guidance and performance appraisal of newly appointed and existing satellite staff Conflict resolution in internal (staff to staff) and external (staff to client or vice-versa) conflicts.
    Vetting and approval of new equipment needed for patient care.
