    Job description
    The position is responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of ICT infrastructure. He/She  will also be responsible of ensuring adequate and efficient ICT system and provides support to users to  facilitate general operations of the organization in an effective manner. 
    Responsibilities
    General Maintenance 

    Carry out assessment of the ICT needs of the various Departments, Centers and Users and  advice the organization appropriately/accordingly. 
    Carry out routine maintenance and service on computers and applications including software  and hardware, printers, laptops etc. to ensure smooth and continuous operations of the  equipment and avoidance of any major breakdowns. 
    Provide support to Departments and Centers to ensure adequate and smooth operations of  applications, ICT and MIS needs. 
    Ensure tight security of the entire ICT infrastructure. 
    Carry out routine software trouble shooting and checking up to date soft-wares in the running  PCs and Laptops. 
    Managing the organizations website by posting and upgrading information regularly as  provided and as appropriate 
    Ensure proper back-up and storage systems and procedures are in place. 

    Technical Support 

    Support the organization in the development, implementation and review of an ICT policy and  strategy. 
    Advise the procurement office on purchases of computer equipment and other related  accessories ensuring that the specifications are met. 
    Ensure no or limited system downtimes. 
    Ensure proper contracting and management of ICT service providers and suppliers. c) Capacity Building 
    Train users on how to handle and effectively use computers and other related accessories. • Train users on minor maintenance of the equipment. 
    Train staff in ICT on matters that include resourceful and safe use of packages, systems, email  and Internet. 
    Train users on how to use the security system including update of anti-virus and other security  matters. 
    Support Schools and Centers in providing ICT training to Students and Staff. d) Asset Management System 
    Support the department to set up a system to track all computer related assets. • Ensure that the assets are fully insured.
    Maintenance of assets tracking system.

    Qualifications

    BSC/BA in Information Technology, Communications, Computer Science or a related discipline. Additional Diploma in Electronics, Networking, ICT or related fields added advantage. 
    Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management 
    Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery. 
    Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications with at least 5 years relevant working  experience in a busy ICT department in a leadership position. 
    Strong Christian with demonstrated commitment and integrity, and active involvement in  Church. 
    Able to work effectively in a team based, multi-cultural and changing environment. 
    Software and hardware skills pertaining to web applications are required. Knowledge in IT design and programming. 
    Knowledge in networking, internet, license administration. 
    Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, keenness on details and ability to  consistently meet tight deadlines.
    Excellent analytical, organizational and presentation skills.

    Overall Job Purpose
     
    The Camp mentor shall be responsible for leadership and mentoring of campers, providing a safe, enriching, joyful and Christ-centered experience for campers, consistent with Angaza Discovery Camp policies and procedures and the Biblical teachings. The position is directly responsible for the spiritual, social and physical needs of campers for the entire duration of each camp session, and follow-up after the camping sessions.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Fostering an attitude of acceptance, encouragement and inclusion through words and actions.
    Evangelize, Follow-up and disciple the campers.
    Lead creative Bible studies for the campers, and participate in all camp activities. Including life skills, creation care, experiential learning, etc…
    Attend and participate with campers in all scheduled worships, devotions, campfires, meals, evening programs etc.
    Listen actively when campers share with you and provide opportunities for campers to discover their own personal gifts.
    Modeling and assisting campers in developing appropriate relationships with staff members and fellow campers.
    Maintaining an overall awareness of cabin life so as to be ready to respond to any camper’s needs.
    Review and pay attention to special camper needs and concerns.
    Working with the nursing staff to see that campers receive all medications and/or treatments on schedule where necessary.
    Ensure cleaning, maintenance and proper use of camp facilities and equipment.
    Log events and maintain records relating to the camp activities.
    Make sure you and campers understand and put into practice the camp rules and follow the emergency and incident procedures.
    Be present and on time for all staff meetings and participate fully in the total service experience.
    Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

    Pursue your own spiritual growth by actively pursuing the spiritual disciplines of a Christian life.
    A minimum of a KCSE certificate. Experience in student/youth mentorship an added advantage.
    Must be an active member of a Bible believing church.
    Ability, confidence, and knowledge to lead a small group of youth campers in daily Bible study.
    Willingness and ability to perform a wide variety of functions and help wherever is needed.
    Excellent communication (oral and written), reporting, organization, and leadership skills.
    Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from multi-cultural backgrounds.
    Keen on details and possess analytical and decision making skills.
    Must have initiative, creativity and be able to work with minimal supervision

    Brainstorming and collaborating with the marketing team for new ideas and strategies.
    Researching markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original.
    As needed, travel domestically to capture content for marketing campaigns, donor updates, and other projects.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, English, or related field.
    Minimum three years of experience in a content writing role; dealing with content for a company or organization.

    Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required:

    Has sophisticated command of written English with a clear ability to switch between formal communication; a personable, casual tone of voice; and vibrant marketing-oriented language
    Has strong people skills and is able to work well and take input from multiple stakeholders
