    Major Responsibilities

    Christian Formation

    Develop and implement staff nurture and leadership development strategy based on WV faith and Development strategy and Our Voice results with emphasis on spiritual nurture all staff
    Develop and implement Programmes for staff spiritual formation and Christian commitments related capacity building
    Contribute to an ethos and culture in WV that is consistent with our Vision and Mission Statements, Core Values, Guiding Beliefs, and Policies
    Participate with HR and senior management in establishing staff recruitment standards to ensure the spiritual commitment of prospective staff; assist in their orientation; and support the incorporation of Christian Commitment engagement in annual performance appraisals
    Ensure that all leaders and staff have regular, quality materials and opportunities for reflections on how to live and consistently communicate WV Christian faith and calling with boldness and humility.
    Participate in the recruitment and orientation of new staff ensuring that they have a deeper understanding of World Vision and its operations
    Develop and or source timely and relevant devotional guides to be used by staff to strengthen World Vision Christian Foundations, Identity and witness
    Support World Vision Kenya staff involved in leading chapel and devotion groups for effective implementation of staff spiritual formation and its documentation
    Develop and ensure implementation of guidelines for devotions to ensure chapel business demonstrate spiritual maturity and denominational inclusiveness.
    WVK staff Christian formation strategy for managers and staff developed and implemented.
    Christian commitments standards effectively incorporated in key HR processes such recruitment, discipline processes, appraisals etc.

    Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

    Educational level: Master’s Degree in theological education or its equivalent and sound biblical understanding

    Experience in planning for and supporting spiritual nurture of large groups of people from diverse church backgrounds.
    Skills in developing training materials and training facilitation.

    Job Description:

    Location: Any home country of a successful candidate from Asia Pacific or Africa Region where World Vision International is registered to operate.
    The Technical Director – Sponsorship in Programming and Special Projects will lead Sponsorship in Programming and global change projects that contribute to WV Sponsorship 3.0 efforts to revitalize, renew and reimagine Child Sponsorship. The role will entail organizing and overseeing sponsorship global projects addressing simplification, research, data management, learning and development, cross sectoral and ministry integration, development of standards, guidelines, models, tools and resources for sponsorship in programming and design of performance accountability systems and processes.
    This position will provide technical leadership for the Simplification and Engagement Enabled by Digital (SEED) change processes with NOs with the aim of simplifying and enabling field operations digitally for efficiency, improving digital engagement approach and processes for enriched experiences and empowering communities with digital for child well-being.
    This position will also provide leadership for Sponsorship in programming especially to advice and support to promote sustained child well-being among children, especially the most vulnerable, in World Vision’s Area Development Programmes supported by Child Sponsorship. The role includes the development of technical guidance for Sponsorship in Programming and integration with LEAP3 and directs SIP learning and knowledge management, and oversees the SIP Learning Network.  The position will also contribute to integrated learning and development strategy and implementation strengthening World Vision’s contribution to the well-being of children in World Vision’s Area Development Programmes.
    This position will function as part of Sponsorship Capability and Ministry Integration team, and report to the Senior Director, Sponsorship Capability and Ministry Integration. The position will collaborate closely with RO and GC teams for policy design and implementation of emergent directions from special projects. The Technical Director  will be part of and routinely advise the Sponsorship learning network and other communities of practice as needed.

    Major Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning

    Lead and support the development of Sponsorship capability and Integration strategic and planning framework based on Sponsorship 3.0 integrating and harmonizing our efforts.
    Support the Senior Director – Capability and Integration in development strategic and planning processes including support to the formation of multi-year plans focused on Sponsorship 3.0 efforts
    Provide technical support and guidance to development and implementation of integrated sponsorship capacity and change management strategy, contributing to the realization of strategic intent and vision of sponsorship
    Lead and support engagements to provide support to research on sponsorship to further existing efforts for integration, learning and synergy.

    Standards and Accountability 

    Provide technical advice  for revision Sponsorship Management Policy and standards
    Provide technical advice and assist in the review and development of sponsorship quality and accountability definitions, processes and systems aligned to relevant conceptual framework, Sponsorship policy and strategic objectives.
    Facilitate engagements with FO, RO and GC Strategy, PQ and Sponsorship teams and other GC teams as appropriate to establish consistent positioning as relates to Sponsorship policy as in consultation with the Senior Director.

    Lead and support implementation of SEED projects with RO and FOs in collaboration with the GC Sponsorship Operations and Engagement team
    Lead business implementation and change management of SEED efforts with necessary business process changes and data quality assurance processes
    Lead scale-out of the sponsorship field operating model as a multi-year change process strengthening integration of sponsorship in frontline staff and volunteers’ roles and alignment of sponsorship roles at the national and regional offices
    Support global scale-out of Horizon mobile enhancements and Child Portal for development including child monitoring, rich media and other sponsorship processes
    Lead integration of sponsorship in the SEED components relating to programme planning and monitoring including tracking and ongoing reporting of RC inclusion and participation
    Provide support to the development of quality assurance frameworks and mechanisms to ensure that the change processes including data have quality and are aligned with global principles and standards

    Sponsorship in programming and Impact reporting

    Support strategies for appropriate integration of sponsorship in broad ministry programming including urban, fragile contexts and gender and social inclusion. 
    Support CS innovation and research to demonstrate effectiveness of WV’s approach to sustained well-being of children, families, communities and supporters.
    Lead and contribute to development of sponsorship tools, resources and project models in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
    Contribute to Sponsorship innovations, opportunities and initiatives, including repositioning sponsorship and new models of sponsorship (urban, community, family and by contexts).
    Collaborate with other CSMS leaders in an effort to guarantee the delivery of sponsorship data analytics and insights, and reporting services
    Lead Child Sponsorship evidence building and impact reporting efforts in collaboration with OIOS team

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Master’s degree in development, business administration, economics, statistics, data science, information technology and systems or related field with a strong research emphasis.
    Minimum 7-10 years in a combination of strategy and policy formulation and oversight, fundraising/business development, Programme Quality, programme management, Business Intelligence roles working with multiple projects in international organisations.
    Demonstrated ability to influence high level strategic and policy directions at organizational level with non-reporting relationships and authority.
    High level skills in DME, with field-based experience in World Vision development programmes. Strong knowledge of World Vision’s Development Programming Approach and experience and / or support its application at the field.
    Additional experience in development programming with other development agencies preferred

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    World Vision (WV) recognises gender inequality and social exclusion are key drivers of child vulnerability across all contexts. Supporting gender equality and social inclusion is an explicit component of World Vision’s strategy to reach the most vulnerable children and is driven by World Vision’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Policy. The Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Advisor works with the GESI Technical Director to GESI is mainstreamed across World Vision’s programming, organisational culture, advocacy and communications and marketing, in line with the organisation’s GESI policy. The GESI Advisor will contribute to World Vision’s strategic initiative to “Address Extreme Child Vulnerability.”
    The GESI Technical Advisor will work alongside national, regional, global and support office staff to insure quality GESI mainstreaming and to track GESI-related impact in line with the GESI Policy. The role’s primary responsibilities will be to:

    Provide technical support for the Partnership’s GESI mainstreaming work;
    Strengthen World Vision staff’s GESI competence and support regional office GESI advisors;
    Identify, track and promote promising GESI approaches and GESI impact across all aspects of World Vision’s work; and
    Support World Vision’s external engagement efforts in strategic gender equality and/or disability inclusion-related forums.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide GESI technical support, in line with the World Vision GESI Policy.

    Develop GESI-related tools in response to technical needs from World Vision entities;
    Support global gender equality/disability inclusion initiatives or working groups;
    Co-lead engagement with other GC departments to mainstream GESI across World Vision, including advising on approaches to mainstream GESI within project models, sector approaches, guidance, and tools;

    Master’s degree or equivalent in development studies, social development, human rights, social work, political or social sciences, gender and development or other relevant discipline
    At least 5 years working in the sector in gender equality, disability or social inclusion-related roles.
    Proven knowledge and understanding of the gender equality/disability and social inclusion competency needs within international NGOs and track record of building staff GESI competence. 
    A proven track record of work within a complex international organization and preferably including implementation experience in long term development or fragile contexts.
    Experience working in GESI-related roles in diverse contexts and proven ability to address root causes of inequality and exclusion with religious, cultural, political, and social sensitivity.

    IT Security professionals develop, execute and manage data, system, network and internet security strategies and solutions within a business area and across the enterprise.     KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

    Required Professional Experience

    Requires 10 – 15 years cyber, privacy, compliance, or risk management function or a closely related role.
    Over 10 years of experience as a senior manager or information security officer.
    Over 5 years of experience managing cyber security incident response teams. Experience designing and implementing security solutions.
    Requires in-depth knowledge of PCI-DSS, privacy laws, security standards, security best practices, and security regulations. A high proficiency level in threat management, risk management, vulnerability management, and compliance management is required.
    Effective in written and verbal communication in English
    Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary.

    Required Education, training, license, registration and certification

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Strategic and technical support -40%

    Develop and continually improve and iterate World Vision Kenya National FMNR Scaling Strategy (2023-2033) to respond to new opportunities and challenges and incorporate new ideas and innovations.
    National FMNR Scaling Strategy regularly updated
    Lead the development of annual work plans to implement World Vision Kenya’s National FMNR Scaling Strategy.
    Work cross-functionally with the directors/heads and members of diverse teams and departments across World Vision Kenya to coordinate the implementation of annual work plans that progress strategy realisation at the national-level.     Map and identify scaling partners and prioritise for engagement.
    Mobilise and engage an alliance/network of national partners to support the scale-up of FMNR in Kenya. Where relevant structures have been established via projects, this position will co-lead partner engagement activities with project staff.

    Qualification, Knowledge and Skills

    The job holder must have a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Environmental Studies or Agro-forestry related discipline.

    Past experience and in-depth knowledge and experience of FMNR model as a landscape restoration approach is greatly desired.

    Job Summary

    The FAST (finance accelerating savings for transformation) Business Development Manager be part of part of the FAST team and will employ VisionFund International (VFI) collective experience in supporting savings groups with THRIVE- tested interventions to expand these models and lessons to the broader financial sector.
    VFI as part of its 2030 strategy seeks to impact an additional 9 million children by enabling 3 million clients to have access to financial services outside of its present network of MFIs. This work is positioned within the World Vision Inclusive Finance Group as part of its partnership strategy.  This new position is being created to grow access to formal financial services for savings groups (VSLAs/ S4T) globally as a result of the learnings coming out from THRIVE 2.0. 
    Through the available learnings from THRIVE 2.0, including from DreamSave data-sharing and THRIVE MandE systems,this position will seek to expand FAST-type lending into other countries where VFI does not have an MFI affiliate.  The position will work directly with interested World Vision field offices and other NGOs to explore what needs exist among savings groups to access additional financial services through the formal financial sector, and then to work with financial institutions to develop and deliver appropriate products and services.  

    Key Responsibilities

    Technical skills: Knowledge of ESCA Project models and approaches is desirable
    A minimum of 5 working experience in climate change and environmental stewardship, program development, implementation, resource mobilization in both emergency, development and advocacy context.
    The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time, with possible extended periods of 4 to 6 weeks of field work.
    Preferred candidates should be committed to travel to Field Offices for days/weeks and spend time with Field Office technical teams in the field. Hands on support is a critical part of this role.

    Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

    Master Degree in Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, degree in Program Management/International Development is an added advantage. Experience in advocacy, policy formation, guidance and implementation on ESCA project model.

    Job Purpose

    To lead donor engagement, intelligent research on donor strategies, sectoral focus and forecasts, prepositioning for solicited and unsolicited opportunities and generate set annual grant income for World Vision Kenya. The incumbent shall contribute strategically to development of Grant Acquisition and Donor Retention Strategies for World Vision Kenya from the assigned Foundations, bilateral, and multilateral donors. As part of the WVK family, the position holder promotes World Vision’s Christian values through its work in teams and with people from various backgrounds.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Growth of Grant Income as per RAM Business Process as a result strengthening GAM business process 

    Lead engagement exercise with WVK identified donors as related to WVKs donor mapping and tiering guidelines.
    Identify donor priorities and intelligence on upcoming opportunities
    search for information that will facilitate positioning and establishment of partnership for opportunities
    Lead the proposal development process in partnership with NO teams, SO and external partners/ consortia as relevant
    Coordinated procedure for managing new opportunities including Grant start-ups

    Donor attraction and retention 

    Actively seek out strategic alliances with donors, NGOs, UN, governments, Support Offices, bilateral and multilateral agencies for purposes of coordination fund raising
    Pro-actively provide donor updates on existing grants and keep the donor relations on course to ensure repeat funding.
    Ensure good donor and World Vision International Support Office relations by meeting all contractual obligations and achieving high quality planning and implementation of RAM activities

    Grants start-ups Monitoring, Reporting, Documentation and Knowledge Management 

    Coordinate with Grant compliance Due diligence, pre-teaming, teaming process and sub-grant Agreement
    Lead the handing over process of awarded opportunities and support start-up processes of grants as relates to business process.
    Lead the process of after-action reviews after every submitted opportunity and document lessons learnt to improve our process
    Participate in donor grant monitoring trips as feasible

    Capacity Building for staff on Grants Acquisition and Management

    Support identification of WVK staff capacity gaps at all levels (NO, Regional & County) in regard to grants acquisition and donor requirements.
    support the development & implementation of NO GAM capacity- building plans.
    Facilitate capacity building on proposal development, donor engagement, WVK Branding and monitoring & reporting based on donor requirements.
    Research, develop & implement new initiatives that make GAM function more effectively e.g. Sub granting

    Qualification,Skills and Knowledge 

    Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Social sciences, Public Health OR Food nutrition and Dietetics (FOND), or relevant field from a recognized University. Post graduate degree will be an added advantage.
    Minimum 6 years relevant experience, 3 of which must be in grant acquisition and donor engagement,
    Must have at least 3 years’ experience in leading and coordinating teams
    Must have experience in designing and programming project in the sector WASH, Health, nutrition, Livelihoods
    Ample experience and expertise in partnering with government donors, multilateral donors and private sector
    Ability to work under tight schedules and with highly competing priorities and deliver quality results
    Ability to work with minimum supervision.
    Writing and presentation skills
    Computer skills especially Microsoft
    Proposal Pro/ equivalent training will be added advantage
    Demonstrated experience in community development work, partnering and consortium management, staff capacity building,
    Ability to motivate multi-stakeholder teams and inspire teamwork and to manage donor expectations
    Experience in engaging with bilateral, multi-lateral donors and private donors;
    Significant experience in project management and grant compliance procedures.
     Demonstrated strong grant writing; ability to develop quality concept notes, proposals, logical frameworks and reports under tight deadlines
