    Key Responsibilities:

    As a goal the External Engagement Coordinator – Health and Nutrition will ensure that the HN sector is efficiently represented externally, maximising WVI reputation.  The EE Coordinator will provide coordination and functional support for the team external engagement strategy and implementation, inclusive of annual strategy development, management, monitoring and reporting.  The External Engagement Coordinator – Health and Nutrition will develop content in support of engagements, as well as manage some partner engagements themselves.  The External Engagement Coordinator – Health and Nutrition will support multiple external event engagements annually, including the coordination of stakeholders, strategy development, session development, administration and reporting.  The EE Coordinator will monitor engagement opportunities and advise the team and support responsive actions.  In support of engagement activities the EE Coordinator will lead development of appropriate communications content.  The External Engagement Coordinator – Health and Nutrition will ensure that all external reporting requirements are delivered in an effective and timely manner. 

    Coordinate global external partner engagements.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Position purpose

    The purpose of the role is to Provide highly Technical and Strategic support on Environment and Climate Change Action to FO;s to enhance environmental stewardship , lead necessary climate action initiatives within the East Africa region and collaborate with key stakeholders.

    Support Field offices to set up and improve integrated programming in ESCA projects and build their capacity to do so.

    Nurture a community of practice at field level to implement environmental programming with practical steps to

    Be a focal point for ESCA issues in cross and multisector programming, including commissioning and overseeing relevant field research/ positioning materials, establishment of external partnerships and help position EARO regional office in the WV Partnership on ESCA issues.
    Strategically engage with Donors, their respective Funding Offices and other partners in a response, development or nexus context, to ensure that WV is positioned as a viable partner for ESCA programs.
    Work with FOs to broker external partnerships that can forward ESCA work at field level.
    Represent the region effectively in key organizational discussions, platforms and fora

    Nexus Approach

    Will strengthen the implementation of the Nexus Approach by ensuring integration on humanitarian/development/peacebuilding initiatives. 
    These efforts include stronger and more focused joint analysis, strategic planning and programming and more joint learning (field trips, evaluations etc.) between humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding actors. 
    Focus on working in collaboration and complementarity between humanitarian and development actors and knowing that Field Offices will become more and more affected by the climate change, food insecurity, extreme poverty might lead to more conflicts over the scarce resources and the presence
    Work with humanitarian, development and peace actors to find solutions, to if/when possible, prevent conflict, violence (and population movement) to happen.

    Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role

    Required Professional Experience

    Detailed knowledge of NGO Environmental Stewardship and Climate Action programming and how to apply it. 
    Proven track record of growing communities of practice and influencing senior field stakeholders (Eg. Operations Directors, Head of Mission etc) is vital.
    Able to think and plan strategically and do practical field assessments, visits, proposal writing etc.
    Knowledge of Livelihoods, international development, humanitarian response, project management or other relevant field is an added advantage. Experience with Bilateral and UN Donors is required.
    Experience in development of projects, training materials, conducting training (face to face and online) and providing technical assistance.
    Understanding of the sector, donor and UN landscape for ESCA.
    Technical skills: Knowledge of ESCA Project models and approaches is desirable
    A minimum of 5 working experience in climate change and environmental stewardship, program development, implementation, resource mobilization in both emergency, development and advocacy context.
    The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time, with possible extended periods of 4 to 6 weeks of field work.
    Preferred candidates should be committed to travel to Field Offices for days/weeks and spend time with Field Office technical teams in the field. Hands on support is a critical part of this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    This position is responsible for providing administrative and technical support for the mobilization of 6UN  (WFP, UNHCR, UNICEF, OCHA, UNDP and FAO) grants opportunities. The position works alongside the Regional Senior Technical Advisors for MEER, EAR and APR and Technical Director in the technical reviews of WFP Field Level Agreements and 5UN Program Document packages (proposal, log-frame, budget, budget narrative, match and income allocation and legal agreements) for completeness and accuracy. The position is also responsible for ensuring all 6UN grant approvals are done as per the internal WV approval procedures, i.e. in line with the business process defined in the WFP Programme Investment and Management Framework and 5UN Guidelines. As and when required in emergencies, this position can be deployed to the field to support in programme and proposal development; including hands-on donor engagement in contractual documentation.
    The Program Officer works closely with Field Offices to ensure the completeness of signed documents and posts them in the Disaster Management Grant Database and Horizon which are the global repository of all WV grants projects documents and reports hence requiring attention to detail in keeping data complete and accurate as many decisions are made based on information and reports from these databases.  The position leads the production of monthly and quarterly reports on the proposal tracker and match funding allocation and utilization.

    Major Job Responsibilities:

    Support Senior Technical Advisors (STAs) for East Africa Region, Middle East Regions and APR on WFP program design, proposal review, adoption of quality standards, and adherence to WV agreed processes.
    Support in the technical review of 30% of new program design documents i.e. proposal, log frame, and budget.

    Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a thorough understanding of all areas of project management cycles in a complex, international development organization especially in development and Relief Projects. 5 years should have been at a managerial level.
    Demonstrated track record in proposal development, funding acquisitions and grant management for major government donors preferred.
    The position holder must be results oriented and team a player.
    Deep knowledge of WVI working systems, policies and standards will be an advantage
    Effective in written and verbal communication in English;

    Key Responsibilities:

    World Vision Kenya seeks a Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID/Kenya Feed the Future project. The goal of Feed the Future in Kenya is to sustainably reduce hunger, malnutrition and poverty in the Zone of Influence. This activity is a 5-year program worth $25 – 49.99 million. The purpose is to increase agriculture-led growth, resilience of people and systems and the population’s nutritional status, especially among women and children. The project is expected to foster private sector-led agricultural production sustainably; increase productivity, farmers’ income, and the resilience of Kenyan’s agriculture and food systems. This will take a market systems approach to promote the development of inclusive business models; improve farmer access to inputs, investment, technical expertise; and foster sustainable private sector partnerships.
    The Chief of Party’s (CoP) primary responsibilities include providing overall leadership, management, and general technical direction of the entire project and consortium partners, ensuring an integrated vision among different components and actors, and a focus on achieving the results defined in the award. The CoP will be the principal point of contact in Kenya and is ultimately responsible for all contract management and implementation. S/he will be the primary liaison with USAID/Kenya on technical matters and expected to steer operations in response to USAID/Kenya technical direction. The CoP expected to identify issues and risks related to project implementation and suggest appropriate timely adjustments. The CoP must be able to communicate World Vision’s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Program Coordination and Management

    Provide overall strategic vision and leadership for project implementation including drafting project work plans and leading the successful implementation of annual work plans and budgets
    Provide technical oversight and guidance to consortium partners on effective strategies to realize Inclusive sustainable agriculture-led economic growth; strengthened resilience among people and systems as well as well-nourished women and children
    Put in place coordination mechanisms for effective project delivery among the consortium partners

    Effectively manage senior programming and operations talent for optimal performance.

    Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting 

    Ensure the project is designed and implemented to meet donor expectations in terms of timely and quality results and budget, including strategies for phase out and sustainability.
    Ensure accurate and quality Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) for the program in place and utilized
    Ensure accurate and quality Program Design Documents (PDD) are on file
    Put in place effective monitoring and reporting systems to guide consortium partners
    Ensure the program quality standards adhered to per MEAL policy and procedures.
    Provide oversight related to project results, reporting, analysis, and the use of strategic information to drive performance across the project
    Actively identify, manage and mitigate issues and risks related to project implementation at the national and regional levels and propose risk mitigation strategies and solutions for project adjustments
    Ensure the relevant project measurements (baseline, mid-term, end-line and any other study) are accurately and promptly conducted and results utilized to inform program management

    Ensure competitive/strengthened public and private of institutions and systems
    Foster co-creation and partnership between community, private sector and county governments
    Influence on policy review initiated for effective governance policy and institutions as necessary
    Increase the visibility of WVK and USAID by maintaining active engagement and advocacy on project related matters

    Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

    Master’s degree in business management, agriculture, economics, project management or other closely related field relevant to the position
    Minimum ten (10) years of relevant, Chief of Party experience managing and implementing partnerships with the private sector to foster economic development.
