    Fundraising and Communication Manager

    KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Years of Experience: At least five years in a senior fundraising, marketing or communications role with evidence of having brought in multi-year donor partnerships, particularly in the humanitarian field
    Income Generation: Proven experience and a successful track record securing grants from trusts, foundations, key institutional funders, legacies among others.
    Strategies: Experience in designing, developing and delivering organization-wide fundraising strategies and tactical plans with a proven track record of managing fundraising targets and having reached or exceeded them
    Leadership & Capacity Building: Proven experience of building colleagues’ capacity on fundraising to respond to donor with tangible outcomes.
    Coordination: Demonstrated ability to work remotely, effectively and efficiently with teams in different countries.
    Marketing: A track record of leading, developing and delivering successful marketing and communication strategies for an organization, which grew organisation profile, reach and engagement
    IT: A good understanding and experience of working with databases, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, websites and Knowledge /use of funder portals and software.
    Relationship Building: Proven experience of networking and building working partnerships with donors, NGOs and other stakeholders and representing your organization on external platforms.
    Proposal and Report Writing: Experience of producing high quality proposals and reports, delivering quantitative and qualitative information in both formal and informal styles. Understanding of Log frames and M&E frameworks.
    Budgeting: Experience of producing budgets and reports for funders; experience of negotiating budgets, value for money, etc.
    Monitoring: Experience of establishing systems for monitoring and evaluating communications and fundraising and measuring long term impact
    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, business administration or related field required

    Key Areas of Responsibility
    The Finance Officer (FO) is responsible for provision of support services and the full spectrum of financial management and accounting.
    The key responsibilities include:

    Ensuring financial systems and procedures are in place and followed in accordance with internal policies
    Consolidation of accounts and preparation of financial reports
    Timely update of financial records and the general ledger and budget tracking
    Preparing payment vouchers and assist in preparation of financial reports
    Ensuring clear internal audit trails, external audit support,

    Qualifications

    Job Purpose: Responsible for designing and creating graphics and related content to meet the organisation and promotional needs, leveraging on computer applications, creative, artistic and decorative effects while complying with organisational guidelines.
    Responsibilities

    Design graphic, visual and digital content for posters, flyers, banners, brochures, T-shirts and other promotional and visibility items.
    Provide design support for newsletters, digital marketing materials, program booklets, web-banners and other organisation publications
    Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications
    Produce drafts for review by designated team leaders and make revisions based on the feedback received
    Review final promotional and visibility productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect end user specifications
    Improve and edit art-works, photos, charts and other graphic elements
    Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products
    Develop infographics for online outlets and sharing with donors

    Qualifications
    Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent.
    Proven graphic designing Experience-Not less than 1-year experience.
    Good knowledge of the latest graphic design software and designs. Knowledge of Adobe CC suite – especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and Multimedia.
    The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail, creative, artistic, and innovative.

    Education

    Work Experience

    At least three years of relevant professional and field work experience.
    Evidence based direct dealings with child protection procedures from identification to best interest determinations, case management, child community interventions, and partnership dealings.

    Competencies

    Clear understanding of child protection issues
    Ability to keep up to date with new forms of issues that impact child protection
    Formulating Strategies and Concepts o Use of data indicators in child protection

    Qualifications

    A degree in Education with options in counselling or psychology.
