    Monitors flow of supply and non-supply assistance to local authorities. Records supply and non-supply inventory and quarterly update on cold chain equipment, distribution and utilization.
    Ensures the appropriateness of financial, administrative and supply documentation; verifies that Immunization project expenditures are within allotments and that data is consistent with the project information and database (e.g., FLS, ProMS). Follows up on queries or initiate corrective action on discrepancies.

    The capacities of Country Office staff and teamwork are strengthened through effective capacity building activities in the development, implementation and management of the Immunization Programme.

    Supports a staff training/development programme to upgrade the capacity of the Country Office staff in the programme development, implementation and management of the Immunization Programme. Conducts relevant orientation, workshop, team work facilitation and staff learning/development activities: ensures that vaccination teams are properly trained on the various aspect of EPI; uses the appropriate training guidelines; participates in the Middle-level management training of vaccinators, cold chain managers, mid-level managers; participates in training activities and micro-planning workshops; participates in the training of field staff for community sensitization and awareness seminars.

    Knowledge sharing with donors and media is promoted.

    Compiles Immunization project implementation training and orientation materials and shares useful and appropriate information to promote knowledge sharing with donors and media.

    Activities and Tasks:

    In close coordination with the ESARO PPP team and the child rights and business global team (PG) the consultant will:

    Lead the integration of responsible business conduct and child rights due diligence components in existing donor grants and commitments on child rights and global supply chains. Among other activities, this includes providing technical support developing guidance, and dissemination of material on multisectoral approaches to addressing the root causes of child labour.
    Identify and advance engagement and partnership opportunities with public and private sector stakeholders including governments, investors, businesses, multi-stakeholder platforms, and industry-standard setters, where deemed relevant and strategic.
    Through the development of strategic advocacy materials, promote a child rights lens to human rights due diligence, and key messages on responsible business conduct to address root causes of child labour as part of relevant networks and initiatives.
    Lead on consolidating learnings from existing child rights and global supply chains work and pilots and related experiences, and shape narratives to strengthen CRB and programme integration. This includes further conceptualizing the role of business in relation to UNICEF programme agendas (e.g. systems strengthening, care and support) and external topics (e.g. HREDD, RBC, NAPs).

    Contribute to regional and country office resource mobilization, and integration of digital health priorities into national planning and budgeting exercises.
    Document best practices and evidence generation for digital health, develop knowledge products, and organize workshops/webinars/learning sessions within UNICEF. Promote a community of practice on Digital Health in collaboration with the UNICEF global digital health community.
    Participate in regular meetings to provide updates and share insights and reflections on country digital health programmes coordination and implementation.
     Work relationships: The consultant will report directly to the HSS Specialist (HSS/PHC), ESARO Health section, but will liaise regularly with the Regional T4D Manager and global DH&IS team. Other important relationships will be with the digital health focal points in each ESAR Country Office, the T4D leads and Digital Health Hub in the Office of Innovation.

    Minimum Qualification required:

    Advanced university degree (Master’s) or equivalent professional experience in health informatics, public health/medicine, development studies, geography, economics or related field is required. A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.

     Knowledge/Experience/ Expertise required:

    Minimum 8 years of work experience at the international and/or national level in digital health, especially on the deployment of information systems and digital solutions. 
    Experience in providing technical assistance and thought leadership surrounding the design and implementation of digital solutions for health system strengthening, routine immunization, community health information systems, and use of geospatial solutions for health programmes, including application of recommended Health Information System architectures and standards.
    Knowledge and experience in community health/primary health care programmes is essential.
    Experience designing and supporting digital health projects with Governments (esp. Ministries of Health).
    Experience with project management and proven ability to translate complex ideas from various areas into unified, clear guidance.

    Accurately interprets signs into fluent English or Kiswahili.
    Provides information and orientation in emergencies.
