    Job Description

    The Core banking Developer will be responsible for leading the design, development and deployment of core banking customizations and product implementations at an enterprise level . These applications are often high-volume mission, critical systems and will provide an exposure to a broad range of technologies across all layers of architecture in Java, Basic , Containerized Core Banking , Card Systems and Financial Reporting.
    He/She will collaborate with teams across the development organization to understand the functional requirements and translate them into shippable products. In addition, he/she will be a technical lead in many projects and a thought leader in the integrations and software development practice. A critical thinker with experience on customer behavior and data engineering services in the bank and in the future are the hallmarks of this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    Primary role and responsibility is oversee and manage the implementation of the core banking application systems that meets business demands of the organization.
    Leads projects involving major enhancements or upgrades of core banking application, enterprise-scale data platforms and related systems including overseeing the development of the technical specifications and application design criteria based on functional and non-functional requirements to meet the business needs.
    Research and work with Strategy and Architecture teams to implement new technologies that will facilitate maximization of data as asset for strategic business transformation.
    Lead a team of highly skilled engineers to provide 3rd level support on core banking applications.
    Define futureproof enterprise data extraction and transformation technologies and tools that guarantee near real-time access to internal and external customers.
    Define a reports model that ensures that the delivered solutions meet the business SLAs consistently.
    Ensure work produced by the team is aligned with other Enterprise, Application and data architects, providing holistic enterprise solutions.
    Manage the team’s performance and nurture skills that advance the IT strategy and establish a sustainable practice.
    Research, evaluate and recommend new products and technologies; perform proof of concept to determine business case and planning criteria for new investments.
    Review organization data capabilities, architectures and and lay foundations for enterprise -wide data analytics, business intelligence and data science capabilities.

    Qualification Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
    5+ years of experience in developing core banking applications (T24).
    Strong proficiency in SAP BW, SAP BusinessObjects, and SAP HANA.
    Experience in development in following technologies: Java 1.8+, Spring Framework, Apache.
    Experience with Testing Frameworks(JUnit, Mockito, PowerMockito), Microservices and Understanding of Cloud infrastructure.
    Experience in developing Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/ CD) using various tools like TeamCity, Jenkins/Bamboo, and Artifactory/Nexus as binary repository Experience with agile development methodologies will be a plus.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication abilities and experience working in cross-functional teams.

    JOB PURPOSE

    Performing quality reviews on business requirements, developing standardized testing methods and strategies, leading execution of functional and non-functional tests and implementing quality testing and reporting processes to track and ensure adherence to quality software development process and products.

    Responsibilities

    Champion and coordinate business requirements reviews across functional teams and ensures that the business requirements are complete, precise, and testable.
    Works with project team to define and create overall project test strategy/test plan, plan test schedules or strategies and Identifies test resources, estimates test effort in accordance with project scope or delivery dates and ensures that the test strategy is achieved.
    Develop, document, and maintain manual and automated functional testcases, non-functional test cases, test scripts and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
    Works collaboratively with the business units and project teams to execute and validate test cases based upon business requirements and ensures that the test cases are traceable to the requirements.
    In collaboration with Enterprise Architecture teams and other critical stakeholders, tune the SQA processes, adopt tools and define re-usable templates in-line with the adoption and maturity of the Quality Assurance Framework.
    Define test process including required test activities and deliverables, conduct Test Readiness Assessment, establish test beds, and ensure that test beds are available for all planned white box and black box testing activities.
    Engages, champions, and collaborates with technical teams / personnel in non-functional testing including integration, regression, load, performance, security, and usability testing.
    Prepare, share, and review test results periodically, report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws and develop test acceptance reports for projects and software changes.
    Works with business units to perform post deployment sanity and regression tests and post implementation reviews within defined period to confirm that the deployed solution works as per the business requirements.
    Participates in formulation and Implementation of Software process improvement policies and strategies for IT division.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCES: For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study
    ISTQB / ISTQB Agile Tester Certification / Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) / Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) / Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) / CMSQ (Certified Manager of Software Quality)
    PRINCE II (Practitioner) / AgilePM / PMI-ACP / Certified Agile Project Manager (IAPM) / Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is added advantage
