    The overall purpose of this role is to independently and objectively provide assurance regarding the hospital’s information system confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Report in the line of duty to the Internal Audit Manager.
    Participate in the preparation of the annual audit plan in line with key risk areas and strategic priorities of the hospital.
    Review ICT polices and procedure and work instructions for adequacy.
    Evaluate systems processes to determine efficiency, completeness and accuracy.
    Assess entire ICT environment from application systems and business protocols to determine whether business objectives are being attained in a secure environment.
    Review Hospital’s hardware and software to ensure acquisition and deployment and disposal process are in line with best practice.
    Provide assurance on security for the entire ICT environment within the Hospital including infrastructure.
    Review information system application servers, backups, IT infrastructure, network to ensure compliance to policy and best practice.
    Monitor and report on utility of computer facilities within the hospital for continuous checks and develop report on findings.
    Test computer general controls within the Hospital to ensure confidentiality and access management are well managed.
    Carry out routine and special audit assignments as requested from time to time and develop report on findings and recommendations that inform on action points.
    Prepare audit reports for review and subsequent presentation to senior management and the Board of Management.
    Conduct integrated audit in collaboration with the operational auditors to provide assurance of the internal environment taking into account the ICT aspect.
    Carry out audit follow ups for assignments carried on a quarterly basis based on audit reports recommendations and develop reports on implementation status and verify.
    Keep abreast on latest technology and trends to provide input to mitigate emerging threats to the Hospital; and
    Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other ICT related field from a recognized Institution.
    Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
    Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
    Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
    Must be up to date with ISACA.
    Member in good standing of ISACA/IIA/ACFE
    Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

    Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the entire engineering department, from approving project design and assigning engineers and technicians to ensure that all safety and structural standards are met throughout the completion of each project.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work with the design team to develop safe, efficient, and effective projects that will fall within the budget.
    Evaluate all costs associated with each project including materials, costs of labor and time expended.
    Negotiate contracts with vendors and clients to ensure the most costeffective means of reaching the customer’s needs.
    Develop creative and innovative strategies in engineering services in line with the Hospital’s overall strategy.
    Translate the strategic aims of the unit into achievable plans, with established priorities and make periodic adjustments as required.
    Keep abreast of local and global best practices in engineering service and make recommendations to the CEO on how this impacts the Hospital.
    Demonstrate ownership and communicate Engineering Services strategic directi on and objectives to all staff.
    Develop policies and procedures for engineering services and provide guidance to management in the interpretation and implementation of these.
    Continuously review and update and enhance the Hospital’s engineering services policy and procedures manual.
    Prepare a schedule for the implementation of construction and maintenance works and services for the Hospital.
    Review construction designs, specification and bill of quantities, estimation reports in line with requirements.
    Oversee the preparation of design, specification, bill of quantities and cost estimation for constructions, and maintenance/modification and expansion of works.
    Oversee building constructions and maintenance or modifications and report on progress as per the Hospital’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
    Ensure that payment certificates are prepared as per the terms and conditions of the contract.
    Ensure planning permission has duly been applied for from relevant government authorities.
    Ensure that construction and maintenance or modification of buildings is done in accordance with the design, specification and the terms and conditions of the contract.
    Make periodic visits to construction sites as deemed necessary.
    Follow up the proper implementation of construction and maintenance or modification activities and submit progress report timely.
    Ensure that proper records and documents are maintained for construction in progress and terminated contracts.
    Plan, lead and monitor the performance of outsourced consultants and/or contractors.
    Advise management in selection of appropriate locations/sites for construction of buildings.
    Oversee the preparation of tenders for construction works and participate in the tender process for evaluation and selection of contractors/consultants/suppliers for construction and/or modification.
    Oversee modification and new constructions to ensure that works are completed within budget and the expected standards.
    Ensure that design works and contract documents for new works are prepared in accordance with laws, regulations, and standards prevailing in the industry and the Hospital.
    In consultation with the Legal Department, ensure preparation of contract agreements for building construction, maintenance, modification, and expansion works.
    Monitor service level agreements (SLA) and report periodically.
    Approve payments within the discretionary limits set by the Hospital.
    Prepare the engineering budget and monitor its implementation upon approval.
    Identify, deploy, and motivate the engineering team including performance appraisal, identification of training needs, mentorship and coaching as well as leave and absence management in line with the hospital’s people agenda.
    Perform any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from.
    Approve plans and budgets for each project and make any adjustments needed in consultation with the client and the CEO.
    Coordinate the engineering team, assigning short- and long-term goals for successful completion of the project’s plans.
    Ensure safety of the worksite during development.
    Review safety standards for the finished product.
    Make sure all projects and undertakings stay on budget and within the projected time schedule.
    Manage the engineering team and oversee the training of new employees.
    Allocate resources effectively including personnel, materials, and time.
    Draft reports and data analysis for review by the Hospital’s Board of Directors.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Master’s degree in mechanical, Biomedical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or any other related fields from a recognized institution.
    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Biomedical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or any other related field from a recognized institution.
    Must be registered with the Engineering Board of Kenya and hold a valid practicing license.
    Minimum of 15 years’ mechanical/electrical engineering experience with 5 years at management level.
    Extensive experience in the designated industry including but not limited to construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, and mechanical systems.
    Must have experience leading teams of individuals from a variety of different backgrounds and disciplines.

    This role is responsible for implementing, maintaining and updating the Hospital’s Quality, Food Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety (QESH) Programmes. The job holder is further responsible for planning and executing the effectiveness, of quality activities/systems in the Hospital
    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Reporting to the Head of Risk Compliance, the Officer shall be responsible for the following tasks amongst others:-

    Maintain all documentation related to Quality, Environment, Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety Programmes in the hospital;
    Plan and facilitate documentation of quality objectives, environmental aspects, environmental management plans and objectives in departments;
    Track progress in implementation of quality, environment, food safety, occupational health and safety objectives in departments;
    Liaise with HODs and ensure that the departmental polices and other standard operating procedures are reviewed and approved appropriately and the hospital repository is updated;
    Develop quality systems training and awareness schedule for departments to facilitate continual quality improvement with International standards for excellence in healthcare services;
    Conduct/ review food safety hazard analysis along the food chain and document pre-requisite programs, operational prerequisite programs and critical control points including monitoring systems;
    Ensure legal and statutory compliance by conducting EMS & OHS legal/ statutory evaluation and address the emerging/ identified gaps;
    Organize and facilitate quality systems internal audits by documenting preparations, assignments schedules and notifications;
    Design and review on continuous basis EMS, food safety, occupational health and safety inspections checklists;
    Plan and execute EMS, food safety, occupational health and inspections in departments;
    Work closely with HODs to ensure their department’s QEOHS requirements are in place;
    Participate in Quality, environment, food safety and occupational health and safety accidents/ incidents, dangerous occurrences investigations and document findings;
    Ensure that all internal and external Quality, Environment, Health and Safety communication materials are in place and conforming;
    Collate findings and document quality systems audit reports;
    Identify, interpret and communicate the standards as applicable to the hospital and to each functional level;
    Facilitate the documentation (manuals, policies, procedures/SOPs, work instructions, protocols, guidelines, objectives etc.) requirements as indicated in the standards (Quality MS 9001-2015, Environmental MS 14001-2015, Food SMS 22000- 2018, Joint CIA – 6th edition, OSHA-2007);
    Distribute and disseminate the updated procedures as and when necessary;
    Plan for, conduct, report on and make follow ups of audits (Internal and external) inspections also internal and external, and patient safety tracers;
    Maintain all certification schedules for accreditation, re-accreditation and internal audits
    Ensure regulatory occupational health and safety risk assessments, fire audits, health and safety audits and incidents/accident reports to DOHSS;
    Participate in drills to tests hospital emergency plans and identify improvement needs; and
    Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: –

    Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies or Bachelor of Science in Environment or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.
    Must be a qualified ISO Quality systems implementer and auditor and have Gemma kaizen training.
    Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience preferably in quality systems (QMS, EMS, FSMS & OHS).

    Coordinate with Requesters to close out open POs in a timely manner.
    Implementation of agreed audit recommendations in the procurement process as per the guidance given by the HOD.
    Participate in process to Review Partners / Sub-Grantees, internal control system in the procurement process to identify any gaps, document them under assessment reports, and capture under capacity building plans.
    Periodically monitor the progress on implementation of recommendations and update the management of all parties.

    Training and capacity building 

    Coordinate, participate in, and/or train staff from Supply Chain Staff and other WVI Departments on WVI Procurement Policies, Processes, and Systems
    Conduct Partners’ / Sub-Grantees’ capacity assessment and capacity building plans as per set framework / guidelines.
    Train the Partners / Sub-Grantees based on the approved capacity building plan, monitor progress. Coordinate with internal stakeholders in monitoring the progress and submit progress reports to the management. 

    Qulaification,Knowledge and Skills for the Role

    University degree in Business Administration, Procurement or similar degree, or equivalent experience
    Completion of Post graduate qualification in Purchasing and Supplies -(CIPS) Level Six is a MUST
    At least 4 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Computer literate with excellent working knowledge in MS Office. Experience in working with Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP’s)

    Reporting to the Head of ICT, the successful candidate will be responsible for management and administration of ICT Infrastructure as assigned from time to time by the Manager, Infrastructure & Service Delivery.
    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ensure optimal performance of all infrastructure and communication equipment to ensure optimal operation across the Hospital.
    Design and implement strategic plans so that the Data Centre infrastructure meets existing and future requirements.
    Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
    Conduct research and make recommendations on IT products, services, protocols, and standards. Provide reports to Management, with recommendations and plans for correcting any enterprise infrastructure challenges.
    Enforce defined standards, procedures, policies, and best practices in management of ICT Infrastructure. Assist the Manager in the formulation of such policies.
    Ensure effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their OS
    and software. Responsible for on-site and off-site data centres.
    Manage security solutions, i.e. firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion prevention systems, among others. Perform periodic reviews of ICT security controls.
    Monitor and ensure integrity of backups on group systems to support business continuity; perform periodic disaster recovery tests.
    Enforce compliance and regulation by ensuring all vendors and meet their specific standards as per SLA.
    Monitor ICT Server Infrastructure to ensure availability and reliability to support business
    operations. Establish SLA with end users and provide them with support and training in LAN admin and usage.
    Test server performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
    Provide guidance to other members of the team on his/her area of expertise.
    Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering, or any other equivalent field.
    Professional ICT qualifications such as ITIL, CCNA, MCSE will be an added advantage.
    Storage and virtualization infrastructure skills is a must.
    Working knowledge of Databases (MySQL, Ms SQL, Oracle) and database management
    Good knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux)
    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT with at least 2 years in managing enterprise infrastructure environment.

    Assess and review the business continuity program of the Nairobi Hospital including ensuring critical process are identified and Business Continuity measures are instituted, reviewed from time to time and working.
    Develop a compliance framework and ensure the Hospital complies to regulatory requirements, best practise guidelines and its internal policies.
    Assist in investigations of process events and the preparation of reports including identification of systematic root causes and themes for escalation to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
    Aggregate and analyse risk events reported by the business units.
    Assist in identification of key risk indicators in different business units, as well as in formulation of action plans to address any gaps.
    Assist in development of operational risk registers for each department.
    Assist in investigations involving employees that are suspected of or have been involved in unethical behaviour, fraud, or other illegal activities against the Hospital or in relation to their work.
    Prepare training materials in operational and process risk.
    Provide assistance in conducting trainings on operational and process risk.
    Ensure that tasks are completed to the agreed standards within the agreed time scales; and
    Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Law, Accounting, or Banking from a reputable University.
    Professional certification in Risk Management; Institute of Risk Management (UK) certification, Financial Risk Management (FRM), RCP Level 3, Chartered Risk Analyst (CRA) or Governance Risk and Compliance Management (GRCM) is an added advantage.
