    Job Description
    Job Summary:

    Preparing clients for collection of specimens; receiving, collecting ,labeling and registering of specimens
    Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens;
    Disaggregating specimens for processing and analyses; preparing reagents
    Examining specimen; writing and recording of results
    Dispatching the results for use in clinical management; performing blood grouping; 
    Familiar with appropriate staining for specific specimen 
    Issuing blood and blood products to peripheral health facilities; and
    Storing blood products according to their requirements
    Familiar with waste disposal.

    Qualification & Experience

    At least two years’ experience in a busy lab set-up 
    Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory and Technologists Board.
    Registration Certificate Issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
    Valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.

    Job Description
    Key responsibilities:

    Manage the marketing function for Domestic and Export customers for Group and non-Group customers, including all influencing communities (specifiers, architects & developers across the East Africa Coils Market).
    Oversee the East Africa Coils marketing, branding, advertising, merchandising, promotional activities and plans for Coils in line with local and Group plan.
    Identify and develop new market segments for coated products including market analysis, competitor profiles, product profiles and segment marketing plans.
    Provide market information on competitor activities locally and on imports.
    This includes monthly reporting and pricing intelligence.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements :

    A Business Degree in Marketing from a recognized university.
    A Masters in Business Administration or Post graduate in Marketing/Commerce will be an added advantage.
    Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya.
    Minimum 10 year experience 7 years of which must have been spent leading a marketing team in a large organization.
    Knowledge in domestic and international economic/trade, political and commercial competitive environments marketing concepts, strategy development/deployment and commercial processes/practices.

    Overall Purpose of the Position:
    Responsible for effective Maintenance of plant equipment/machinery and improving the overal plant performance in line with the management approved guidelines.
    Key Performance Areas:

    Develop and implement the overall mechanical works strategy for the mechanical maintenance
    Identify gaps in the mechanical processes and implement strategies to close gaps, improve equipment reliability, sustainability and reduce maintenance costs
    Ensure mechanical installations for the plant conform to approved standards to eliminate breakdowns
    Implement and manage projets to improve equipment and safety performance, sustainability to reduce cost
    Ensure that all mechanical equipment are installed and functional to support the production team
    Scheduling and assigning work to meet maintenance completion dates, undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload whenever necessary
    Works closely with operations team in providing solutions to problems and advice on technical issues
    Analyse all machine failures (breakdown, unplanned corrective maintenance) and implement corrective measures to prevent re- occurrence of failures and safety incidents
    Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition
    Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when required in line with the agreed format
    Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to make recommendations to maintenance team
    Supervise, guide and review activities of staff under your supervision in the structure on technical duties
    Inspection of work performed by outside contractors to ensure it meets management expectations as per the scope of the work assigned
    Ensure observance of safety rules, regulations and practices

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

    Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering- Plant Option
    Minimum 8 years experience in similar position in a busy manufacturing company
    Knowledge in RCA methodology
    Posses good knowledge in identifying and managing spare parts
    Good working knowledge of machines in process industry, hydraulics and pneumatics is desirable.
    Computer proficiency especially in PM module in SAP – ERP.
