    Focus on the financial bookkeeping of the business in line with the company policies

    Processing internal payments as per the SLA’s and clearing of staff advances.
    Cross checking expenses with corresponding receipts and invoices before payment

    KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION REQUIRED

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration (Finance or accounting option), statistics Commerce or related courses from recognized university
    At least level One (1) of accounting qualifications (CPA, ACCA) will be an added advantage.
    A proactive approach to work, the ability to handle multiple tasks and to maintain a high-quality standard when working under time pressure.

    To support the finance manager with the recording of transactions, reconciliations financial accounting, treasury and tax compliance as well as providing financial analysis, forecasts and results and ensuring adherence to budgets. Reporting to Finance Manager
    Key Job Functions

    Ensuring all transactions are posted timely and accurately
    Assisting with the preparation of the month end reporting pack
    Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
    Assist with the management of the day-to-day finances
    Ensuring financial controls are adhered to
    Assist with the preparation of payments to suppliers and other stakeholders
    Ensure compliance with all tax regulations e.g. returns submitted and taxes paid on time
    Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and with the compliance of those budgets
    Work closely with the business to ensure they receive the financial analysis required to run their departments

    Junior Finance Analyst – Pricing and Margins Senior Lead – Collections

    This role supports the business in making informed pricing decisions to ensure profitable growth and reports to the business the impact on the margins that those pricing decisions will have. Key to this will be analyzing the variances between the originally priced margins and those based on actual results, presenting these to the business, and holding the business owners to account for actions to improve those margins.
    KEY JOB FUNCTIONS (Main activities undertaken by the jobholder and reflective of the most important features of the job)

    Draft, review, and suggest pricing for new and existing products. This includes owning the company pricing model for assigned business units, updating assumptions regularly in accordance with established protocols, managing new pricing requests, and communicating pricing changes.
    Lead the monitoring, analysis, and presentation of unit economics’ calculations, including calculation of steady-state contribution margins by product category, comparison of actual margins vs. priced expectations, and diagnosis and recommendations for interventions to improve margin.
    Present to the Exec team at the monthly Capital Pillar meetings the results of the analysis and follow up on actions for margin improvement.
    Be responsible for the pricing and margin assumptions in the annual budgeting process and monthly updates to ensure accurate pricing and margin information is used to base decisions for future investment.
    Oversee the uploading of payments plans and manage communication of pricing details to BI and other teams
    Any other duties as may be assigned

    Experience/ Skills & Competencies/ Licences & Certifications/ Education Required

    Experience: Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role

    Education

    BSc/BA or relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA)
    MSc/MBA is a plus

    To achieve this, you’ll be expected to:

    Perform vulnerability reviews of M-KOPA mobile, IoT and automotive devices
    Learn and conduct in-depth hardware penetration testing, particularly for Android mobile and embedded systems
    Assist in the identification and discover of zero-day vulnerabilities in Android applications, the underlying kernels, and hardware boards
    Help carry out internal penetration testing against applications, and with internal red teaming engagements

    Your main objective will be to work within the customer acquisition and retention sales teams to provide analytical support and strategic insights to drive top-line growth and operational efficiencies across all markets and sales channels. Working directly with the Director of Commercial Operations and the Director of Business Development & Growth, you will help assess the current commercial situation, identify future needs, and create solutions to help meet those needs using data and analytics.
    To achieve this, you’ll be expected to:

    Work closely with the Director of Commercial Operations and Director of BD & Growth to develop and execute against M-KOPA’s strategy for customer acquisition and retention
    Coordinate with Data and BI teams to develop effective commercial performance metrics and build commercial reporting dashboards to ensure the right actions are taken to achieve business targets and to provide effective cross-market performance benchmarks
    Identify and define / scope opportunities for operational process and efficiency improvements within the Commercial team
    Lead the analysis of customer segmentation, marketing campaigns, and sales performance across all channels (including direct field-force, indirect partners, digital, and outbound telesales) to inform decision-making
    Working closely with Finance and Credit, support pricing analysis to set product prices while balancing margin, growth, and credit priorities
    Help identify improvements in M-KOPA’s deployment of direct sales and telesales agents, including training, upskilling, productivity, and retention
    Drive competitive analysis, including building processes to regularly collect and update competitive intel from desk research, in-market research, and our own salespeople  
    Lead financial analysis to understand the financial performance of products, set effective sales and cost targets, and build robust business plans for the next 1-5 years
    Lead in developing business cases for new commercial initiatives
    Help launch and grow Commercial initiatives in new countries, ensuring best practices are transferred and localised from existing countries
    Drive ad hoc special projects, often working cross-functionally across the business to do so

    Build a bespoke Threat Intelligence (TI) capability/team

    Provide early warning on the exploitability of relevant hardware chipsets and mobile devices
    Conduct infiltration operations and investigations of known online hacking groups
    Provide a centralized point for technical and fraud teams to predicate increases in fraudulent activity

The position will report to the Diagnostics and Phone Servicing Manager.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

    Key Job Qualifications:
