    Overview
    Kentaste Products Limited is Kenya’s largest manufacturer of coconut products. The company sources coconuts from nearly 3,000 smallholder farmers, 2,000 of which are organic and fair trade certified. At our factory in Ukunda, we process 40,000 coconuts/day into virgin coconut, desiccated coconut, coconut milk, coconut cream, and coconut flour. Our products are sold in retail channels across East Africa as well as through bulk and retail channels in the Middle East, Europe and USA.
    At Kentaste, we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for a highly creative graphic designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with the Marketing team, the graphic designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project.     The position reports to the Commercial Director.
    Objectives of this Role

    Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
    Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately.
    Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with the marketing team, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on the workload as instructed by your supervisor.
    Update and maintain an internal database of designs, photography, and video.

    Responsibilities:

    Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with the Marketing team for a wide range of materials that may include social media designs, presentations, internal communication, newsletters, and marketing materials.
    Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.
    Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute determining ideal usage based on the Brand Identity manual.
    Manage the design and uploading process of all project material, understanding best practices for using dropbox as a content management system.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, arts, communications, or related field
    5+ years experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other graphic design softwares
    3+ years in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency
    Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    Able to give and receive constructive criticism
    Understanding of production(photography and videography) and proficiency with photo/video-editing softwares, website design and maintenance, corporate identity, advertisement, and multimedia design
    Familiarity with wordpress for website maintenance preferred
    Exceptional creativity and innovation design skills
    Accuracy and attention to detail
    Strong analytical skills
    An understanding of the latest design trends and their role within a commercial environment
    Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects

    Main Responsibilities

    Documenting and managing all staff records and ensuring they are complete, accurate, securely well-kept and up to date;
    Implementing and interpreting the approved Company’s human resource and administrative policies, procedures and standards related to recruitment, promotions, remuneration, and staff relation and performance management.
    Ensuring staff conduct and discipline is maintained in all the departments /units and thorough but fast conclusion of staff disciplinary cases;
    Preparing, reviewing, and adjusting staff remuneration payments on monthly basis and assisting payroll development by providing relevant employee information ;
    Assisting with administrative duties in the company;
    Coordinate the implementation of the process of performance management system.
    Coordinate the implementation of the Human resources, management Information systems.
    Undertaking human resource planning for all staff to ensure that they are optimally engaged;
    Co-ordinating and ensuring staff Recruitment & Selection, Orientation & Placement to respective department;
    Administration of staff welfare and benefits requirements including medical cover, group life /accident cover, pension scheme and Staff Association Welfare.
    Conduct training needs assessment for direct reports and coordinate companywide training needs assessment in liaison with Heads of Departments and organize staff training sessions, workshops and activities.
    Participate in recruitment and selection of staff including preparation of job adverts, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checking and making offers to candidates.
    Participate in the development and preparation of the Unit’s work plan, budget and quarterly and annual reports.
    Ensuring all new members of staff are properly inducted in the operations of the company;
    Preparing confirmation letters for staff due for confirmation after expiry of their probation period as well as those being confirmed into new appointments;
    Planning for and undertaking staff training & development through conducting staff training needs assessment and recommending relevant training for all staff;
    Maintaining of office facilities, supplies and work equipment, controlling their renewal;
    Managing employee performance through implementation of the current performance management system;
    Develop individual work plans, monitor own performance and seek requisite support to ensure delivery of agreed targets.
    Advising the management on matters related to human resource management.

    Key Skill and Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized university preferably augmented with a Higher Diploma.
    Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
    Minimum of 4 years’ experience is required;
    Extensive knowledge in the Kenyan Labor laws and Industrial Relations;
    Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written;
    High level of integrity and ethics;
    Proven problem solving skills;
    Must be proficient in MS Office Suite;
    Someone who can demonstrate high levels of integrity and honesty;
    Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment;
    Ability to manage a large flow of information

    Overview
    The Finance Director (FD/CFO) is responsible for achieving the financial goals and objectives as set by the Board of Directors through company budget management, financial management, and risk management strategy. This includes developing and executing a financial budgets and operational strategy, monitoring metrics tied to the budget and strategy, and supporting the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
    In response to high levels of growth, our systems, controls and reporting requirements have evolved. We are seeking an individual with experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, and operations management. Strong leadership capabilities will be a key attribute of the ideal candidate – this individual should be able to instill discipline in the company’s operations and reporting requirements, identifying opportunities for improvements in operational efficiency and seeing these through execution.
    The position reports to the Managing Director.
    Objectives of this Role

    Oversee the cash flow management and financial planning processes from development to execution
    Perform on-going analysis of margins, costs, and other operational elements that are key drivers of the company’s financial health
    Play a vital role in the Company’s strategic initiatives and advise other executives
    Collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure that day to day operations are executed efficiently and in alignment to the company’s budget
    Ensure financial reports are timely, have adhered to financial standards, and are accurate
    Develop a budget, report against the budget, and hold all department heads responsible to the budget
    Communicate with the company’s banking and insurance partners
    Responsible for leading new investment initiatives, such as deciding on whether to proceed with new acquisitions or capital expenditures

    Responsibilities

    A. Finance Management and Reporting

    Prepare and submit financial plans and budgets in consultation with the Managing Director and all department heads
    Guide the business in ensuring compliance to the budget; all variances to be reported in the monthly report with reasons and recommendations
    Manage the company’s cash flow and working capital including cashflow forecasting, investment of excess cash, inter-account transfers and debt collection.
    Ensure proper use of the accounting system (SAP) for accurate data capturing, processing and reporting with emphasis on the manufacturing module to better manage the cost of sales, gross margin and Inventory valuation and management
    Work collaboratively with all department heads to develop effective analyses that consider data such as trends, comparisons and ratios to generate financial insights
    Prepare and submit timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, half year and annual management accounts with defined findings, conclusions and recommendations to help the business in decision making
    Maintain proper and accurate balance sheet schedules to support all balance sheet line items including fixed assets register, monthly bank and cash reconciliation, loan schedules etc
    Take initiative to run extra analysis and reports that will help the business in process improvement and for knowing purpose; the extra analysis may be requested by the HODs (Profitability analysis, etc.)
    Full compliance within all tax and statutory matters (income tax, PAYE, VAT, excise tax, withholding taxes, NHIF, NSSF, NITA etc.)
    Ensure that the annual accounts are audited within three months of the year-end being the lead contact with external auditors
    Maintain relationships with the company’s bankers, lawyers, company secretary, insurance brokers and suppliers and other service providers and ensure that the company receives excellent service at all times

    B. Administration

    Support the Managing Director in fundraising and investor relations by providing relevant business information and analysis
    Support in grant application and ensure accurate reporting for grants
    Oversee procurement operations, approving purchasing requisitions and authorize supplier payments
    Set performance targets for departmental staff, allocate work, monitor and review performance and train staff as needed while offering leadership to the team.
    Conduct training for non-finance managers to help other HODs think commercially and enhance collaboration while reducing unnecessary competition

    C. Commercial Operations

    Continually review business processes and recommend improvements that will create more efficiencies
    Work with the sales team in determining the best sales mix and follow through with the production manager for the right production mix that will influence the sourcing
    Attend EXCO meetings and any other ad hoc meetings that may be called to create alignment for alignment to the budget and as most commercial decisions affect finance
    Support timely delivery of orders by efficiently resolving challenges faced regarding order approvals, invoicing and margin analysis for orders that do not meet the set margin
    Support business development initiatives through the timely negotiation of business terms

    Presentation skills using Powerpoint and other applications
    Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills.
    Advanced experience with SAP or similar accounting systems and in financial reporting
