    Job Summary 

    Data analytics and data management assist our organization in understanding where we are successful, where we can improve, and what new opportunities may exist for us. We are searching for an experienced business analyst to work with the Chief Operating Officer to constantly work with our data and data systems from a business intelligence perspective. The ideal candidate will be well versed and experienced in the processes of data preparation, cleaning, analysis, interpretation and professional-style reporting. Candidates with start-up experience, proven track records with business analytics, high quality written communication, data visualization experience and a deep interest in asking and answering business questions are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities

    Provide monthly and weekly reports on relevant data to a diverse internal audience—from our nursing and doctor teams all the way up to executives;
    Develop new analysis and reports that drive clarity on business related decisions;
    Prepare data driven presentations for quarterly or other major milestone events;
    Conduct basic inferential and descriptive statistic explorations into datasets;
    Run geospatial mapping with internal and external data;
    Use data to highlight business problems and inefficiencies.

    Skills and qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree
    Five or more years of experience in analytics
    Five or more years of experience with both descriptive and inferential statistics
    Ability to translate data results into business-oriented reporting with interpretation focused on actionable insights
    Data cleaning
    Experience in working with SQL databases or other databases
    Fluency of relevant Microsoft, Google, and any common statistical  packages
    Extensive experience with data visualization
    High proficiency in professional writing for a business context

    Biomedical Technologist

    Job Summary 

    Under minimal supervision, provide expert-level experience in the repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems used in healthcare delivery. Execute professional-level inventory assessment/audits and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.  Provide remedial corrective maintenance and maintain documentation of all service events, tests, and maintenance performed on clinical equipment. 

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Biomedical Technician Responsibilities:

    Performing routine maintenance checks on biomedical equipment through testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting
    Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems, and monitor completion of preventive maintenance activities performed by outside vendors.
    Review outcome of preventive maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements. 
    Installing new biomedical equipment and adjusting the device according to medical specifications.
    Training clinicians and other personnel on how to use and care for biomedical machines and equipment, safely and effectively through physical demonstrations and educational presentations.
    Repairing faulty machinery on a routine basis and tending to emergency repairs as needed.
    Keeping a digital record of equipment repairs, faulty components, and recalibrated devices.
    Ensuring that all equipment meets company standards of safety and quality, and is in compliance with relevant laws.
    Maintain accurate inventory, tracking both the addition and the deactivation of clinical equipment.  
    Evaluating the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical machines, equipment, and software.
    Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.   Assist, manage, and monitor third-party repairs. 
    Writing reports and documents detailing protocols, policies, standards of use, maintenance, and repairs of biomedical equipment, machines, and software.
    Any other duties as may be assigned.

    Education    

    Degree/ Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.

    Experience      

    Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a biomedical engineer in a busy hospital setting
    Exposure to a whole range of biomedical machines

    Knowledge and Skills Requirements    

    Exceptional knowledge of the structure and uses of biomedical equipment.
    Ability to analyze, repair, and test electronic and electromechanical equipment.  
    Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections.  
    Ability to run diagnostic programs. 
    Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in layman’s terms.
    Registration with the Regulatory Body of Biomedical Engineers

    Technical Skills

Experience with MySQL user account management and log analysis tools is essential.
