    Our Client is an expert in water and sewage treatment and they seek to hire an Accountant to provide oversight in financial planning, budgeting, proper maintenance of accounting records, financial reporting, and administration of a comprehensive set of internal controls to mitigate against financial risk. The accountant will also provide oversight in and oversee administration, operations, logistics, procurement, human resources, and provide support in project management aspects. The accountant will be required to manage various companies including rental properties. 
    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop, implement and maintain consolidated bookkeeping and financial management system in Quick books
    Controlling and reconciliation of all financial transactions and data
    Monitor and managing company & project cash flow and expenditures
    Preparation and creation of financial reports, final and management accounts
    Serve as primary contact for banks, and communicate with debtors/creditors
    Prepare/oversee costings, quotations, invoices, statements
    Co-ordinate stocks, tracking, re-ordering, and procurement
    Co-ordinate petty cash & expenditure planning
    Preparation of payroll & all statutory deductions on iTax and KRA systems and ensuring compliance
    Working on creating & improving business processes, procedures, and efficiencies.
    Co-ordinate & ensure all permits/licenses are in place for various sites and locations
    Filing of all documents, administrative, financial, accounting, projects
    Managing & coordinating leases/invoices/payments and communicating with tenants, lawyers, agents & other service providers
    Any additional work related to the company or directors not outlined in this JD

    Key Qualifications.

    ACCA / CPA or equivalent.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is required.
    Good communication skills.
    At least 2-3 years of commercial experience.
    Should be hands-on with Quickbooks & iTax.
    Should be familiar with costings, taxation, import taxes, and costs analysis.
    Understanding stocks in Quickbooks is an advantage.

    Key Responsibilities

    Build strategy on developing new accounts, product positioning, and pricing in liaison with the sales executives for existing customers.
    Works on and actively set out to achieve the agreed set financial and non-financial targets from the assigned clients.
    Handles an agreed set of market, clients/accounts as advised, determined, and discussed and agreed by/with the Sales Manager.

    Skills & Qualifications

    A Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Business Management with any extra IT-related field qualification is preferred, a degree is an added advantage.
    Proven experience in Cash Management Solutions e.g Safes, ATM, Money counting machines.
    At least 3 years of relevant experience.
    Experience, in the end, customer relationship management.
    Key certifications in the area of business in terms of product and or service.
    Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
    Experience in Office automation or enterprise software/hardware solutions and small and or large complex organizations would be preferred.
    Strong understanding of customer impact metrics & solutions.
    Proven interpersonal and team coordination skills.

    The Role
    Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:

    Manage performance of ICT Infrastructure and applications to ensure that the systems work as designed and perform consistently and reliably in order to meet Business SLAs.
    Monitor ICT Infrastructure performance including SNMP, logs, events and maintenance of general systems health in order to provide proactive remedial support.
    Develop and maintain device access, control policies, data transmission policies, storage policies, Business continuity policies, backup policies, security policies, monitoring profiles, technologies and notification rules that match compliance best practice expectations.
    Plan and implement timely product upgrades, firewall signature updates and patch releases for all ICT assets
    Research and evaluate external technical trends & developments and evolving industry standards concerning technologies affecting networks, security, client/server and other platforms and their application to business systems. Research local and international technology trends in business to improve system performance, security and functionality.
    Define and document the various architecture components, including hardware platform, operating system, execution, development, operation, distribution and technologies related to networking systems.
    Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure, attend to system failures and resolve/coordinate resolution of issues.
    Establish and maintain business relationships with vendors, consultants and other outside entities providing services to the bank. Negotiate contracts and appropriately monitor performance of their services.
    Be the custodian of all remote authentication passwords for all connections to the corporate Network Infrastructure and ensure minimal external threat to information resources.
    Manage internal staff and external vendors to ensure that services are delivered promptly with an aim of obtaining zero interruption to business operations.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an IT related field from a recognized university with possession of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is a must.
    Wide Networking and project management experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning, systems analysis, design, support and development of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
    Demonstrated experience integrating systems in multi-user, multi-platform, multitasking operating systems environments such as UNIX, Windows 2003/2008
    Excellent understanding and working knowledge with TCP/IP, IP Telephony and Firewall appliances
    A specialist in IT/ Engineering background with competences in Networking, Engineering, Power systems and good project management/consulting skills.
    Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead or facilitate mission critical projects and to develop, participate in and lead multi-disciplinary work teams.
    Extensive experience in systems planning, design, development, maintenance and troubleshooting with a track record of accomplishment in large, complex WANs, LANs and client/server based systems.
    Demonstrated understanding of modern information security threats and competency in developing effective solutions.
    Demonstrated experience working with multivendor infrastructures such as Cisco, IBM and Sun/ Oracle
    Extensive knowledge of Service Provider infrastructure and demonstrated experience working with SP equipment and protocols
