    Key Responsibilities

    To collect the required information and report to Head Office and Nairobi Office accurately & timely as may be assigned from time to time.
    To engage in liaison, coordination and market research activities for Head Office’s Chemicals related projects and business with other Nairobi members, with the aim to:
    Maintain and develop relationships with East African local industries and suppliers of Head Office, and by understanding their needs and capabilities,
    Enable Head Office to trade chemicals and related items to East Africa,
    Assist Head Office to promote chemical related items in East Africa, in order to maximize market access for already established manufacturers in Japan & other countries.
    Analyzing the market, finding the potential customers and cultivating the relationship with them on behalf of Head office
    Enable Head Office to estimate total available market and strategize how to penetrate in East Africa  
    Coordination between the customers and HQ for their smooth trade transactions with the knowledge of the product information, market needs and customer’s requirements.
    To identify, develop and communicate any new and emerging business opportunities to Head Office,
    Other projects and duties as assigned by Nairobi and Head Office

    Key Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological sciences preferred
    2 years working experience 
    Logical thinking, outstanding communication skills both oral and in writing
    Outstanding business acumen, good in report writing and presentation
    Flexible, good interpersonal skills for both office environment and business networking
    Outgoing and culturally dynamic with ability to work in a multicultural environment
    Good sense of sustainability of operations, activities and cost management
    High integrity and understanding of compliance including IT security 
    Good at mathematics and ability to use Microsoft Excel
    Ability to prioritize tasks for good work management
    Creative and good at problem solving with strong sense of responsibility

    Resolve customer issues and answer questions.

    Attendant should be energetic and have the physical ability to be on their feet for long periods, as they will be standing, walking and even running during paintball games.
    Enforces the safety rules on the field while a game is in progress.
    Explains how to play the game, strategy and tactics.
    Checks players for paint splats when they are hit.
    Restarts the game after paint check has been performed.
    Takes disciplinary action against players that violate safety rules.
    Check all players for barrel covers while exiting the playing field.
    Make sure everyone is wearing a mask until safety exiting the field.
    Chronograph each self-equipped player’s gun before every match.
    Discipline any player that shoots their gun outside of the field.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Degree/Diploma in any related field
    Energetic. Physical ability to be on your feet 8 hours at a time
    Ability to make change, basic math skills
    Ability to effectively explain rules and regulations to customers
    Strong conflict management skills 
    Excellent customer service & communication skills
    Friendly and positive attitude
    Paintball experience desired
    First Aid certification a plus

    Key Responsibilities
    Demand Planning

    Support the Annual business planning and monthly forecasting process by driving volume and value forecasting
    Lead the demand review and forecast alignment meetings.
    Support the Commercial Team and Commercial Analyst to ensure the rolling 18 months sales forecasting discipline is understood and adhered to.
    Collaborate with the Commercial Analyst and Commercial Team to challenge trends and capture market intelligence and understand demand forecast drivers during pre-demand and final demand review meetings.
    Ensure that the business receives an 18-month consensus demand plan (sales forecast) approved by the Commercial/Sales or Managing Director.
    Collaborate with the Commercial Analyst to review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and evaluate forecast results to support a collaborative and consensus approach with the Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams, to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used in forecast planning.
    Plan monthly departmental alignments and make recommendations to improve the sales forecast.
    Obtain sales out forecasts to support forecasts and demand planning and to recommend stock planning parameters based on sales out forecasts per customer.
    Closely coordinate and communicate Customer action plans with Supply Planning.
    Provide input into the Supply Planning operations in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
    Constantly engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment in lead times, inventory days, and inventory aging.

    Data Management

    Create and maintain the appropriate master data in the Planning systems in use, minimizing errors, and avoiding duplication and obsolescence. i.e. Anaplan
    Create statistical forecasts to gather, analyze, validate data and execute statistical modeling software
    Review the results of the statistical forecast model and apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting; summarize and aggregate statistical forecasts. Refine the forecast model to reflect updated Sales and Marketing assumptions
    Maintain the demand planning system and software to input and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy
    Monitor trends in forecast error – Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence
    Drive fast, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Demand Plan and communicate these actions to stakeholders.
    Consistently improve the Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA accuracy level and variability) using the Forecast Value Added (FVA) concept and drive out systematic forecast bias through detailed analyses of past performance.
    Track errors using DP Reason Codes and maintain an efficient Learning Log.
    Provide input to volume planning (Latest Estimates / annual process) and achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain

    Continuous Improvement

    Maintain Monthly, Quarterly, and ad hoc reporting on Operations KPI’s internally and to the Regional Office or EMEA HQ
    Propose improvement initiatives based on KPI’s reports and sales trends
    Lead and manage the end-to-end process for New Product Introductions
    Lead and manage ad hoc projects from start to end

    Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Statistics, or another relevant field.
    A graduate diploma (CIPS) or any other national higher diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
    Min 4 years of work experience as a Demand Planner or similar role.
    Demonstrated knowledge of demand planning philosophies and processes as well as a proven track record.
    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to analyze demand planning and forecasting.
    Excellent IT skills and previous experience with an ERP system.
    Excellent communication and people skills.
    Sufficient knowledge of warehousing and distribution.

    Qualifications

    1 – 4 years of work experience as an Engineer in a telecommunications or financial services environment.
    Software development skills in Java, python, Angular JS etc.
    Knowledge in ITIL Service Operations processes and Agile methodology. Certification in Scrum fundamentals is an added advantage.
    Working knowledge in dev ops and dev ops tools like Github. 
    Expertise in system monitoring and alerting strategies and can draw on their experience to drive improvements in system monitoring with automation, third party tools and frameworks.
    Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
