    Contract Period: Six Months Fixed Term Contract
    Reporting to the Manager Investigations, the selected candidate will be responsible for:-

    Investor Complaints management including receiving, recording, and drafting both acknowledgment and communication including close out letters.
    Engaging with investors, market intermediaries, public issuers, share registrars and other stakeholders on the alleged contraventions of the capital markets legal and regulatory framework.
    Conducting investigations interviews and preparation of investigation reports on market abuse and malpractices.
    Continuous liaison with the Capital Markets Fraud Investigations unit on all matters that are criminal in nature and being a state witness in court for punishment and deterrence.
    Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly investigations updates to Authority management and to the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ).
    Drafting of policy guidelines on investigations and reviewing the current legal and regulatory framework to enhance investor protection.
    Assisting in undertaking investigations as part of fit and proper assessments.
    Attending Capital Markets Tribunal proceedings and preparing briefs on the hearing.
    Adherence to the Authority documented ISO procedures and records management.
    Undertake other assignments as assigned from time to time.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL. B) or completion of the Advocate Training Program at the Kenya School of Law; OR Bachelor’s degree in Criminology or Accounting and or Bachelor of Arts.
    Computer proficiency in Ms office applications and basic computer analytical skills.
    At least one-year relevant experience in an investigation’s environment will be an added advantage.
    Have a valid Certificate of good conduct.

    Job Purpose
    To provide support to the Policy and Regulatory Framework Department
    Job Responsibilities

    Conducting policy analysis and develop evidence-based policy frameworks to support capital markets development and inform legal and regulatory frameworks;
    Undertaking periodic assessment of external policies that may have an impact in the capital markets and recommend appropriate interventions through policy research and bench-marking;
    Design and plan policy round-tables in coordination with the policy coordination and advocacy and participate in working groups and other stakeholder events as and when required;
    Participate in the development of annual Memorandum of Capital Markets Policy submissions to the National Treasury;
    Prepare post budget analysis of the proposals affecting capital markets after budget reading as and when required;
    Implement quality management systems and continuously identify and manage risk;
    Review media information and highlight and policy issue that potentially has impact on the development of Kenyan capital markets.
    Undertake any other assignments as may be assigned from time to time.

    Minimum Job Qualification

    Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Strategic Management, Business Administration, Policy Analysis or any relevant degree.
    Computer proficiency
    An additional qualification is an added advantage.
    At least one-year experience in policy formulation and analysis.

    Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Affairs and International Relations Department, the selected candidate will be responsible for;

    Developing social media contents such as banners;
    Developing short videos containing Capital Markets Products information;
    Uploading Investor Education and Market deepening content on social media;
    Revamping presentations delivered by colleagues in the Authority;
    Design work for publications such as State of Corporate Governance Report and the quarterly Capital Markets soundness reports;
    Support the implementation of the recommendations of the 2021 Customer Satisfaction Survey where social media was recommended as a key channel of stakeholder communication and engagement;
    Assist the department with adherence to the brand guidelines;
    Participate in ongoing brand corporate communication projects;
    Providing communication support on other assignments as requested.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    A Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent qualification from a reputable institution;
    Proficiency in professional graphic design and the use of Adobe Creative Cloud Software is an added advantage;
    Proficiency in using professional video and photography equipment;
    Previous experience in a Public Relations/Communications Department and Advertising Agency is an added advantage.
