    What You’ll Do
    You’ll be part of our Cisco Sales Associates Program (CSAP), an award-winning graduate training program for early-in-career talent aspiring to move into sales or engineering roles.
    Phase 1 the Programme will help you learn about Cisco architectures and study the latest technology advancements including solutions, services, products, and competitors. As the initial training is complete, you will receive on-the-job experiential learning while developing your skills in the Global Virtual Sales and Customer Success (GVS&CS) organization
    You’ll be encouraged to pursue industry-standard certifications, be assessed and coached through customer simulations and on-the-job activities. We’ll offer you a safe and fun environment to practice what you’ve learnt, all the while providing you with feedback to develop your potential. Thanks to this rigourous training plan, we’ve earned a strong reputation within our internal sales organization.
    Phase 2 of the Program will advance you to the Associate Virtual Sales Specialist (AVSS) role as part of the Cisco GVS&CS Team. The GVS&CS organization is passionate about driving productivity and building compelling business value for our Customers, while nurturing our Partner relationships and ecosystem. As an AVSS you will be a key advisor in driving architecture/services sales and developing opportunities through sales and strategic specialist activities. In your dedicated coverage area you will be engaging directly with Field sales teams by proposing techniques, strategy and programs to identify, prospect and create new opportunities for our Customers with Cisco partners.

    What You Need To Be Eligible

    Graduate by January 2019.
    Preferably hold a degree in Business, Management, IT Mgmt, Business Innovation, Information Systems/Science, Finance and other related degrees. You will graduate from a bachelor’s degree (or higher) with no less than a 21 result or equivalent in your Country.
    Fluent in English and Swahili.
    Hold the right to live and work in the country that you are applying for, without future company sponsorship required. Student visas and temporary permits obtained on
    your own will not be acceptable.
    Willing to relocate to a hub if required.

    Job description
    What You’ll Do
    You have previous country marketing experience and knowledge of the technology industry and will be expected to set the country marketing strategy whilst liaising with both country/regional Marketing peers such as the Marcom Manager, Digital & Social Marketing Manager, along with the sales and business key colleagues of the country. You will also act as the primary marketing interface to our partners where they are responsible for driving the planning, creation, execution of co-marketing activities and campaigns.
    Key Roles and Responsibilities
    Ownership, development, and implementation of the East & West Africa Country marketing plan to include

    Lead the overall country strategy and plan with regards to communications, events, campaigns, etc.
    Work closely with key internal teams (sales teams, global and local marketing, solutions marketing, and technical experts) to provide a holistic country-marketing plan.
    Work closely with the Partner Account Managers and Commercial Sales Country Leader to build, use, and execute the partner marketing plans.
    Define and prepare the joint marketing plans with each P+ Partner as part of the overall business plan and country objectives.
    Lead the marketing strategy and execution within the country to drive optimal demand generation activities across all segments that will contribute to the sales funnel.
    Drive Sales/SE/Channel/Internal resources to understand the business opportunity, market positioning that will help drive pipeline in country
    Development and Execution of marketing programs and campaigns; using Global & EMEAR campaigns as well as rolling out local campaigns by scaling through partners and ensuring return on investment.
    Lead generation and management growing the activity in targeted customer segments within and ensuring the proper mechanisms are in place for capturing optimal return on investment.
    Oversee, provide direction and establish a lead qualification and distribution process for both Cisco and Partners.
    Ensuring that Cisco improves promotional campaign opportunities (including conferences, seminars, research, sponsorship etc.), evaluating and tracking
    To be a Member of the East & West Africa Country Management Team.
    Management and allocation of country marketing budgets along with partner marketing funds.
    Drive usage and adoption of Partner Marketing Central (PMC) portal.

    Who You’ll Work With
    The Systems Engineer acts in an increasingly consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert, or trusted technical advisor, in his / her field by the account team and customer. All SEs engage customers face-to-face or via collaborative tools and technology such as WebEx, Telepresence, etc. As part of a Global account team it will be necessary to work cross-functionally with various members of the regional teams. This will ensure alignment with the global account strategy and consistent local implementation.
    Who You Are

    Several years of related experience.
    Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required.
    Pre-Sales experience highly recommended.
    Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.
    CCNP or CCDP Certification or higher preferred.
    Strong understanding of the customer business model and common financial pain points; ability to frame Cisco offerings in terms of business drivers
    Advanced understanding of Cisco vision and technology; articulate the vision from the customer perspective
    Understand customer business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform
    Technical Acumen
    Understand networking industry trends, including new products and solutions
    Understand competitive product and solution landscape
    Advanced knowledge in Routing & Switching
    Advanced knowledge in Networking Platform Design
    Excellent technical consulting skills, including ability to define trade-offs, ask probing questions, and incorporate Cisco solutions into a broader technology environment
    Proactively share information about common replicable architectures that are most appropriate for assigned customers
    The technical specialist SE has an in depth knowledge of their specialization and adjacent technologies including product, technology, and competitive information
