    Job Responsibilities

    Training and equipping the students with related skills.
    Sourcing of employment and internship opportunities for students.
    Sourcing of guest lectures and organizing field visits and industry exposures for the students.
    Ensure students on internship fill their logbooks.
    Maintain an up to date record of students.
    Ensure students maintain highest levels of discipline at all times.
    Accompany students when going for interviews.
    Source for credible mentors to mentor the students.
    Participate in road shows to recruit students to the program.
    Follow up with students both on internship and placement to support them and get feedback on their progress.

    Job Description

    Job Responsibilities

    Introduce the CBET/BEST model to the VTCs.
    Work with the county governments to ensure acceptability of the BEST model.
    Develop tools to monitor and evaluate the impact of capacity building initiative.
    Champion for effective implementation and delivery of CBET/BEST model aspects in the VTCs.
    Conduct regular assessments on CBET/BEST model implementation in the VTCs and put in measures in place to address the gaps if any.
    Plan on when to conduct impact survey of capacity building aspects implementation by the VTCs.
    Submit accurate, complete and timely reports as required on weekly, quarterly, half yearly or annual basis as required.
    Use the feedback obtained from the surveys conducted to make any necessary changes that will have positive impact on the program.
    Facilitate capacity building/training program to be conducted by CAP YEI to VTCs
    Coordinate training activities including organizing and planning training workshops logistics.
    Visit various VTCs to assess implementation progress.
    Provide hands on training to theVTC instructors in curriculum delivery the CBET/BEST way.
    Collect evidence of CAPYEI capacity building implementation by the VTCs
    conduct and/or lead capacity development needs analysis for trainees to determine learning outcomes needed for trainee’s success and collect information about target beneficiaries
    Develop and implement methods to monitor and evaluate the results of capacity building programs and capacity building initiatives.
    Coordinate knowledge management and sharing for capacity building initiatives
    Devise ways of making the capacity building initiative sustainable and reliant

    Position Requirements:

    Candidates with experience in TVETS will be highly considered.
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent a must
    At least One (1-2) years experience in Capacity building.

    Job Responsibilities

    Daily book keeping of finance &accounting data ,processing of all transactions using documents of original entry and reconciliation of cash and bank balances using quick books
    Monthly reporting to the finance and administration manager providing fully reconciled reports detailing center advances, expenditure and cash/bank reconciliations, budget follow ups tracking and accountability to strict deadlines.
    Assist in preparation and follow up of program budget for centers and trips substance advances
    Ensure that all expenses are properly authorized and documented before payment for such expenses by preparing correct budget codes and seeking prior approval
    Ensure that all payments are prepared on time and in accordance with all financial guidelines and approval procedure
    Maintain filing systems for all financial and accounting records in accordance with guidelines and verify the completeness of the documentation on the files by maintaining both hard and soft copies to support all financial transactions and for the donor reporting
    Ensure that all bookings in cash books and ledgers are done on daily basis for both and in strict compliance with guidelines to include advances and pre-payments and reconciled including reconciliation of select ledgers and balance sheet items.
    Maintenance and updating of a fully written fixed assets register
    Write journal entries for reclassification of expenses as required and enter into quick books
    Assist in preparation of end year audit schedules and provide all documents required by the auditor during audit as well as answering some audit queries as needed
    Maintain a schedule for payment of utilities and lease agreements for the organization to ensure timely payments
    Report any irregularities found during scrutiny of accountability documents
    Continuously remind and train center staff on optimum accountability requirements
    File monthly VAT returns
    Monthly PAYE and withholding tax payments
    Any other duties as required.

    Qualifications, Training and Experience: 
    Academic and professional qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting
    CPA( K) finalist.
    Membership to a professional body
