    Actuarial Senior Team Leader

    As an Actuarial Senior Team Leader you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on insurance contract liabilities, pricing of products and their approval, risk based capital modelling and compliance with various regulations and requirements and adoption and full implementation of IFRS 17. 
    KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Product development which involves conducting research, developing pricing models, profit testing and other actuarial modeling/testing
    Reviewing pricing of insurance contracts/products and development of pricing calculators 
    Reviewing product performance after selling which involves assessing sales volumes, claims experience, expenses and distribution setup
    Validating data and performing actuarial valuation which involves setting up valuation models and estimation of actuarial liabilities (UPR, OCR, IBNR, IBNER, DAC, UARR, ULAE etc);
    Compute the Risk Based Capital on a monthly basis and advise management accordingly
    Preparation/review of the annual Liabilities Valuation & Financial condition report as per the IRA guidelines
    Compliance with IRA guidelines on actuarial function and quarterly reporting including AvE
    Liaising with external actuaries and providing them with information, documents and records needed to execute their work in a timely manner
    Support in the preparation of monthly management reports
    Support in the preparation of annual financial statements
    Support in preparation of board papers, annual budgets and other strategic plans
    Technical Lead in the adoption of IFRS 17 to the full implementation

    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or an equivalent

    KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Establishing and maintaining regular contact with current and prospective clients.
