    Reporting to the Manager, Security Services, the Chief Security Officer will be in charge of securing and safeguarding Company assets and resources.
    The keys tasks of the position are as indicated hereunder:

    Overseeing implementation of security measures and regulations by employees and customers
    Safeguarding security of Company assets against theft, pilferage, damage, misuse or sabotage;
    Liaising with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective execution of security services;
    Sensitizing internal and external customers on matters of general security, crime prevention and fraud control;
    Supervising contracted and seconded security personnel to ensure value for money;
    Undertaking security intelligence surveys and recommending necessary interventions;
    Undertaking investigations of motor accidents involving Company vehicles and taking the necessary actions;
    Evaluating changes to the security environment for impact and presenting findings to management;
    Carrying out risk assessments and making recommendations to management;
    Coordinating investigations on all acts of crime or any losses incurred against the Company and taking necessary action;
    Implementing strategies on business continuity planning, privacy, loss prevention and fraud prevention;
    Overseeing and coordinating security efforts across including information technology, human resources, communications and facilities management;

    Appointment Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree from recognized institution
    Diploma in Criminology/Forensic Science or related field
    Military/Police/ Protective Security Services Industry Training
    Nine (9) years’ work experience 3 of which must be in middle management level

    Receiving and undertaking service of court process. 
    Opening court files, maintaining records, printing, photocopying and scanning documents, closing files recommended for closure.

    Undertaking safe custody and retrieval of court files.

    Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Commerce or any related field.
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (K) or equivalent qualification by a recognized body.
    Member, Institute of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) in good standing.
    Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the constitution

    Reporting to the Transport Engineer, the successful candidate will be operating a company boat to ferry Company staff and equipment within the Lamu Islands. The specific tasks will entail:- 

    Ferry employees and loading/unloading of materials for operation from the boat within designated points as instructed.
    Ensure good maintenance and safe custody of the boat and equipment.
    Ensure safety of products/goods in the boat and its crew.
    Observe and comply with marine code of conduct and other related legal laws.
    Ensure payment of taxes/levies and valid licences for the boat are available at all times.
    Carry out daily cleaning and minor routine maintenance of the boat
    Report any malfunction of the boat for timely repairs.
    Prepare fuel cost returns
    Maintain and make timely records of mileage returns.
    Performe any other duties as may be assigned.

     Appointment Requirements 

    KCSE Certificate.
    Coxswain licence from Kenya Ports Authority or other comparable organizations
    Valid Driving License class BCE.
    Three (3) years rowing/sailing experience
    Excellent navigating skills and understanding of wind patterns in the Indian Ocean
    First Aid training and fire fighting techniques
    Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and familiarity with boat operations
    Experience in swimming/diving
    Possession of safety training will be an added advantage.
    Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of. Criminal Investigations.
    Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board.
    Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA.
