    Qualifications

    At least 10 years of technology experience with at least 5 years in a software engineering management role.

     Ability to adapt to evolving product visions and emerging technologies

    The Risk & Compliance Manager shall be responsible for managing the various activities relating to financial crime/ market compliance risk assessment activities as they pertain to the portfolio of existing Equity Bank Group International Banking products and services.
     This is a regional role that will interface with a range of stakeholders across Equity Group Subsidiaries.     Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

    Perform risk assessments for new and on-going International Banking projects for purposes of ensuring compliance to relevant country, regional and global regulations and guidelines.
    Take ownership of the Regional Compliance risk assessment annual plan, this will include follow-up of the product business plan execution, the assessment of AML/CFT/Fraud/Markets compliance risks tied to payment and FX hedging products, the recommendation of mitigating controls and the production of product risk assessment documents for new strategic initiatives. 
    Provide guidance and advisory by answering queries related to products as part of business project reviews covering various risk categories, including geographical risks.

    Ensure that the various units of International Banking are trained and advised on the product risks accompanying their business projects, including creation and overseeing the activities of a joint product risk committee. 
    Maintain a broad knowledge of products and product features by working closely with partners, subsidiaries and the Enterprise Risk Management departments in Equity Bank group and subsidiaries.
    Determine and recommend system security improvements to enable compliance with best practice system risk & security requirements and global General Data Protection Guidelines, GDPR.

    Qualifications

    A minimum of four years’ successive employment in risk/compliance discipline in a busy organization, with strong understanding of overall banking operations, systems, and processes.
    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in KYC and AML Compliance in a regional commercial bank.

    RESPONSIBILITIES – WHAT YOU WILL DO
    Align marketing strategy to the overall business objectives and bottom-line
    Direct and review the objectives of the marketing team with constructive feedback for improvement
    Set quarterly marketing objectives and KPIs for each brand and review with the product teams to drive engagement and retention
    Write briefs to guide the creative process and align internal marketing teams and external partner agencies on goals and overall strategies
    Build strategy, design and project management of 360-marketing campaigns (including PR, content and events) that disrupt the market, raise awareness, convert and delight customers
    Collaborate with our talented design, development and product teams to integrate our marketing campaigns within the customer experience of our consumer brands
    Spearhead and drive initiatives that elevate our customer and service experiences, sharing best practices across our organisation and network
    Enhancing and improving upon our internal culture program, iServe. Creating companionship and a collaborative attitude for the entire Finserve team
    Develop the framework, nature and standards of the corporate and consumer brands to and align with the values, culture, tone and voice
    Analyse the key business drivers, trends and performance indicators alongside competitive threats and opportunities
    Brainstorm, plan and execute marketing plans with tools and metrics for reporting and analysis
    Create and edit content and templates that meet the style, tone and format for an evolving audience
    Construct and carry out a user retention program for the consumer brands, offering exciting value to re-activate dormant customers, reward HVCs, and so much more

    Capability for easy self-onboarding process, high availability, excellent customer experience, and award winning Mobile Channels
    Drive profitability of every Mobile banking channel to surpass budget in every country
    Maintain realtime business intelligence on system performance, subscription, revenue, cost and profitability of each channel on each service, by country and aggregated for the group.
    Continuously innovate Mobile banking channels space
    Ensure strict compliance with digital channels payment regulations and guidelines
    Ensure timely cost allocation and revenue assurance down to branches, in each country
    Drive financial performance of Mobile Channels to surpass Revenue target, minimize cost and maximize profit.
    Update the Group Director of Payments, Group Head of Digital Banking and Country Heads/Directors of Payments of situations, issues, opportunities, relationships and performance of Payments
    Work with other digital channel partners, IT, Solution providers to drive innovative solutions and collaborations to drive growth and innovation in all subsidiaries.
    Manage all development projects for the group
    Ensure timely and monthly report of Mobile banking optimization (subscription, deployment, sales, and financial performance)
    Manage Mobile channels P&L profitably for EBKenya and Group subsidiaries.
    Understand Mobile channels regulatory, market dynamics and competitive intelligence to formulate Mobile Channel strategy for the group, to dominate in every country of operations.

    Qualifications

    Experience and understanding of Mobile channels developments, security and financials  
    Strong Marketing and Sales skills to drive retail, SME and Corporate adoption
    Excellent Leadership and interpersonal skills to work in matrix organization
    Finance: Experience in managing revenue, cost, profit management and digital reporting
    Sharp business acumen, including ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return
    Proven execution record
    Good understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
    Ability to nurture effective relationship with local regulators as well as government bodies and officials.
