    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Human Resource management
    Support Head of Office in all HR related issues;

    Supervises driver activities;
    Assist in sourcing of suppliers / quotations; Give administrative support to other departments;
    Monitor all active rental contracts;
    Premises, Maintenance & Welcome
    Supervise premises management files according to organization’s policies;
    Inventory management in the premises and passive security checks;
    Follow-up on maintenance issues and ensure that problems are solved quickly;
    Review of the welcome file;
    Ensure that welcome procedures are done on time.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    University Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration / Human resources or equivalent from a recognized university;
    Must have a Professional Accountancy Qualification CPA, ACCA;
    Perfectly fluent in English and Swahili languages, written and spoken;
    Perfectly conversant with computer skills, including Excel, Word;
    Knowledge of accounting software e.g. SUN System etc is an asset;
    Conversant with HRM practices and good knowledge of labor law / employment market;
    Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar field and as F & A manager;
    Previous working experience with NGO’s or international organization is an asset;

  • Regional Stress & Resilience Advisor

    Regional Stress & Resilience Advisor

    Position within the organisation
    Based in Nairobi, the Regional Stress & Resilience Adviser is under the responsibility of the HR manager. He/she coordinates visits and activities in the various Regional locations with HQ in Geneva, with the management of the Regional delegation and with the management of all delegations covered. The technical line of the Regional Stress & Resilience Adviser is the Stress & Resilience adviser based at HQ in Geneva.
    Specific tasks

    Contribute to develop a culture of stress prevention and co-resilience among ICRC regional operations and staff
    Develop and use tools to help resident and mobile staff understand and deal with stress at the team and individual level.
    Support integration of stress prevention and management in the Delegation and sub delegations yearly Planning for Results (PFR)
    Provide group and/or individual “preparedness & support” sessions for new joiners
    Adjust own support level to the specific needs and preparedness of the various offices located in the Region.
    Identify and train peer support volunteers (staff members trained to support their colleagues at times of adjustments and stress, lend a listening ear with a role limited to basic help.) Identify and train key persons within the team who would be able to provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) to their colleagues
    Give guidance / training of team leaders in the field on how to support their staff
    Organize Team Supervision sessions for teams with high exposure to human sufferings
    Offer systematic support following security incidents
    Contribute to monitoring stress level of ICRC staff
    Identify and liaise with local professional able to provide MHPSS services as needed
    Give direct support to the ICRC staff if needed (group or/and individual support)
    Evaluate the possibility of a hotline specifically dedicated to support national staff
    Assist, in case of need, in any medical evacuation of staff
    Report on activities and findings, statistics and tools developed

    Responsibilities

    To assess the psychosocial needs of the ICRC staff in the Region various delegations (approx.10) and the current relevant practices addressing workplace stress, traumatic stress and vicarious stress.
    To recommend organizational adjustments to support staff resilience e-g:

    Advise Line Managers on adequate actions & attitudes
    Ensure organizational clarity of roles and responsibilities
    Promote conflict resolution techniques

    To set-up a psychosocial support system integrated in the general objectives of the Delegation and according to the ICRC stress policy for ICRC’s staff in the Region in coordination with the HQ stress and resilience advisor.
    To monitor and report about all matters related to the main responsibilities and other tasks as needed.

    Selection requirements
    Psychologist or stress counselor with solid experience in:

    Support and counselling of individuals working in a volatile security environment
    Positive-constructive promotion of resilience and well being
    HR and people management or occupational psychology
    Training of individuals and teams to work in conditions of duress
    Knowledgeable in Psychological First Aid
    Familiar with contemplative techniques
    Familiar with peer support system and guidance of team leaders
    Group support for teams having gone through security incidents
    Working with multi-cultural staff
    Ability to translate psychology into day-to-day language and practices
    Familiar with humanitarian and/or emergency operations
    Ability to work in parallel in different locations

    Based in Nairobi or Mogadishu, the Communication Officer implements and monitors communication programs in Somalia. He/she develops projects and specific assignments to be handled and streamlines plans of action.

    Your Responsibilities
    Implements and monitors operational communication and community engagement projects;
    Contributes to the development and production of communication tools, including publications, MS Power Point presentations and audio visual material;
    Supports the Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) Communications department in design and implementation of operational and organizational development, including risk assessment, planning and budgeting;
    Organizes dissemination sessions, presentations, trainings and other events;
    Ensures smooth running of communication activities and independently uses his/her judgment to solve arising issues;

    Your Responsibilities

    Supervises Field Officers implementing cash programs across Somalia;
    Monitors economic environment across Somalia and is aware of new developments;
    Maintains records for all ongoing cash projects in Somalia;
    Updates the file of requisition orders (RO) related to all cash projects;
    Conducts assessment missions, generates reports and project proposals;
    Reports on the progress of the program and submits written reports as required;
    Maintains contacts with the relevant stakeholders / authorities at the regional level;

    The Cash Transfer Database Manager is responsible for managing all the cash transfer databases for the ICRC Somalia Delegation.
    Your Responsibilities

    Provides support to the ICRC Cash Transfer Unit in managing their databases of upwards of 40,000 beneficiaries from all over the country;
    Advises and supervises Field Officers, in different areas of Somalia, in data collection and analysis;
    Maintains and adapts databases for all beneficiaries of cash transfer programs in Somalia. Ensures tracking of individual beneficiaries in the database system;
    Issues verification and payment lists and tracks progress of the same;
    Maintain accurate and complete physical and electronic records about all ongoing cash projects in Somalia;
    Liaises with Finance and Logistics Departments to ensure that all processes are adhered to;

    Your Profile

    Regional Economic Security Data and Analysis Specialist

    Role description
    The ICRC defines Economic Security as the status of an individual, household or community that is able to cover its life and livelihoods obligatory expenditures in a sustainable manner, consistent with its environment, culture and customs. Within its global Economic Security approach in conflict affected countries, the ICRC implements Relief, Livelihood and Rehabilitation Programs in order to improve, restore or maintain food and economic security at household level. To achieve this objective Economic Security uses a combination of different interventions, such as cash and voucher programs, microeconomic initiatives, agricultural and livestock programs, and relief items distributions.
    The role of the Regional Economic Security Data and Analysis Specialist is to serve as the focal point and lead service provider for all matters related to data collection, management and analysis and reporting and content management needed for EcoSec assessments and programming in the delegations in the Africa Region. S/he is an expert in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, with particular experience in humanitarian assessments, monitoring, evaluation and learning and strong in data management. S/he is expected to use a client-oriented approach, and coordinate and collaborate with all Departments/Units of the ICRC for cross-cutting projects and/or which their area expertise may be concerned as well as other organizations.
    S/he does frequent mission in operational delegations and develops close collaboration with respective EcoSec Coordinators. S/he may also be required to cover other countries on request.
    Main responsibilities

    Provides operational support to Delegations as a service as per their request including in assessments, monitoring and evaluation methods and tools, data collection and analysis, beneficiary data management and technical reviews;
    Supports and coaches EcoSec staff to help build their own awareness and capacities in data and analysis;
    Provides surge capacity for information management in emergencies, either at-a-distance or ready to deploy with short notice;
    Serves as focal point for all EcoSec data collection and analysis at the field-level within the Africa Region;
    Contributes to global/regional analysis of key indicators of concern to EcoSec such as macroeconomics, population movement, remittance trends, etc.;
    Maintains library of tools and templates and shares and archives best practices;
    In collaboration with the other members of the Data and Analysis Specialist team, develops and maintains guidance, tools and templates for field users;
    In collaboration with the other members of the Data and Analysis Specialist team and EcoSec Advanced Trainers, provides support to identify appropriate trainings for EcoSec staff;
    Actively participates in, and animates sessions at the annual data and analysis workshop;
    Maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders;
    Works closely with other ICRC departments to contribute to multi-disciplinary analysis for the Region;

    Desired profile and skills

    Advanced university degree (Master-level or above) in a social science or in a technical domain related to information technology, data science or analysis; First-level degree in combination with 2 years relevant work experience may be considered;
    5-7 years of practical field and hands-on experience in information management or assessments, monitoring and evaluation of relief and/or livelihood interventions in a humanitarian context, including experience in designing and management assessment and monitoring exercises;
    Solid understanding of assessment, monitoring and evaluation concepts and methods used in humanitarian emergencies, particularly armed conflict and other situations of violence, and humanitarian interventions;
    Knowledge of key indicators used in monitoring humanitarian situations and populations directly and indirectly affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence and humanitarian interventions;
