    Purpose of the role
    As a UI and UX designer you will work closely with the technology development team to improve and optimise our dashboard. You will be responsible for taking a product road-map and bringing it to life with exceptionally usable screens, user-centric design, and an engaging personality.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Support product managers in researching user personas and user cases

    Plan and implement design projects such as user interviews, surveys and other design project methods
    Design and iterate on user interfaces for web and mobile platforms
    Produce beautiful, intuitive user interfaces for our technology development team to implement

    Understand our dashboard and their capabilities and optimise existing user interface designs for the business and test for intuitivity and experience.
    Collaborate with different teams to design experiences that cut across different audiences, technologies, and platforms in line with the marketing function on design & branding guidelines
    Create a design system that includes a brand book, component library, and UI style guide. This will help enforce consistency across our mobile, web, and social media experiences.
    Work with the product team to build new features – mock-ups, screens, components, iconography, user flows, across mobile (native and web) and desktop.
    Coordinate with other designers working on related products.
    Gather input from users through user interviews, observing users using the system or conducting hosting focus groups and design surveys.
    Advise on usability improvements from our analytics and user feedback

    EDUCATION REQUIRED:
    Minimum Qualifications;

    University degree in design, computer science or equivalent professional experience
    3+ years of experience as a UX designer, interaction designer or similar
    Fluency in user experience principles and knowledge of best practices for interaction design, user-centred design processes
    Experience designing applications with multiple user touchpoints for web and mobile
    Portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in UX and visual design. This should also include the approach and process
    Professional proficiency in visual design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision,adobe or equivalent
    Strong team player and ability to make trade-offs in a fast-paced startup environment
    Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design proposals

    Additional Skills and Competencies

    You have 2+ years of experience as a UI, UX designer and/or product manager.
    Proven ability to design beautiful, responsive user interfaces for web and mobile
    Track record of using user research design to make product decision
    Strong background in prototyping, user research and human centred design
    Have experience applying analytical, data-driven decision making to design projects
