    Duties
    The incumbent serves as one of three(3) storekeepers and is responsible for overseeing receipt, storage issuance and inventory of expendable and non-expendable supplies and equipment in the storerooms and warehouse. The incumbent will rotate through multiple sections within the warehouse as directed by the Supervisor, for varying periods depending on warehouse needs. Supervision is provided by the Deputy Warehouse Supervisor, which may be delegated to one of three Supply Supervisors, and under the overall general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.
    Requirements:
    EXPERIENCE: 

    Two years of supply responsibilities in warehouse operations is required.
    One year experience on the safe use and operation of Material Handling Equipment is required

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:  
    Good working knowledge of department of state property management policies and procedures and associated agencies property record keeping is required.
    Education Requirements:

    Completion of Secondary School is required.

    Duties

    As the Senior Protocol Assistant, the incumbent supervises the three Protocol Assistants in the Protocol Office and is a key advisor to the Ambassador (Chief of Mission), Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) and other Mission staff on all aspects of protocol, etiquette, precedence, local customs, and communication practices.  S/he provides strategic protocol advice to enable the Mission to achieve important objectives.  The incumbent also oversees representational activities on behalf of the Ambassador and DCM and provides recommendations for visits from high-level personnel from all government departments and agencies, including the President and Vice President of the United States, Cabinet Secretaries and Congressional and Staff delegations.  The position requires frequent contact with high-level officials in the Kenyan government, private sector, and diplomatic entities.  The position reports to the Chief of Mission’s Office Manager, who is the direct supervisor for the position. 

    Qualifications and Evaluations
    Requirements:
    EXPERIENCE: 

    Seven years of progressively responsible experience in protocol, executive level office management, business, political, or external relations is required.  Experience in organizing high-level events/meetings in an international setting is required.  In addition, two years of supervisory experience is also required. 

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:

    A good working knowledge of Kenyan governmental and economic structure, political climate and social and cultural norms is required.  
    Must thoroughly understand Kenyan protocol and cultural norms as well as other international religious and social customs.  
    Must be familiar with U.S. customs and protocol practices.

    Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar Senior sales role
    Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent experience
    Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
    Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
    Strong business development skills
    Knowledge in retail and on-line channel sales. In addition, experience in the IT industry with knowledge of SI / VAR’s vendors and surveillance channel
    Interact and communicate effectively with employees, vendors, contractors, and management on business matters in a business professional manner
    Independent and adaptive team player
    Candidate will be self-motivated, driven, customer oriented, resourceful, and enthusiastic
    Ability to handle pressure and diverse issues simultaneously.
    Ability to be able to work independently
    Influence behavior to VP level, internally and in large multi-national accounts
