    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Requirements for Appointment to this grade,

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-

    Have Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:Human Resource Management, Public Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    Have Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business/Public Administration from a recognized Institution;
    Have Certificate in Management Course from a recognized institution;
    Membership to a relevant professional body;
    Be proficient in computer applications;
    Have demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance; and

    JOB OVERVIEW

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
    Duties and responsibilities

    include coordinating on health & safety and cleaning service delivery on a day-to-day basis. The custodial team leader will conduct inspections of the premises and provide feedback to Custodial Supervisor on standards and monitoring targets. Liaise with custodians regarding material supplies and general concerns. Maintain contact and coordinate with customers on site. 
    Raises work orders in GMMS for action and follows up to confirm tasks completion.
    Raises ILMS requests to Warehouse for cleaning supplies delivery as per Warehouse schedule.
    Raises MyServices requests for various custodial services.
    Supervises work and performance by a custodial workforce of 8-10 Custodians in the Chancery, USAID (ACACIA), New NOX (OAK) and Outbuildings in the NEC and reports to the Custodial Supervisor.
    Supervises and assists in meeting rooms set-up, including staging chairs and tables at the amphitheater.
    Coordinates with General Services Office (GSO) Warehouse on delivery of event equipment.
    Issues and records daily cleaning supplies to custodians and updates the custodial supervisor on usage.
    Provides back-up in the absence of the custodial supervisor.

    Supervises removal of trash to the Truck Transfer Station for collection.
    Carries out custodial duties when not supervising the work of others.
    Ensures proper use, storage, maintenance and care of all cleaning equipment and materials.
    Supervises lifting or moving of large, heavy items such as cartons and boxes, equipment and supplies with or without the assistance of hand carts, elevators or other equipment (31Kg or 70 Pounds) in accordance with 15 FAM 952 Exposure Standards.
    Reports all maintenance deficiencies that require immediate and future actions to the Custodial Supervisor.
    Monitors the correct use of personal protective equipment and reports any deficiencies or misuse to the Custodial Supervisor.
    Ensures that cleaning products are approved by the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO).
    Writes employee performance reports for the custodians under him / her and discusses with custodial supervisor who reviews them.
    Approves leave for custodians he / she supervises.            
    Discusses Performance Discussion Summary reports for custodians under their supervision with custodial supervisor. (20% of Time)
    Drives custodial golf carts and GOV’s (Government Owned Vehicles) to ferry garbage, cleaning equipment, recycle paper, e-waste,
    Sanitary bins within the Embassy compound.
    Operates Aerial lifts during cleaning of high surfaces (Windows, Facades and Canopies) (10% of Time)

    Qualifications and Evaluations
    Requirements:
    EXPERIENCE:  

    Minimum of 3 years’ experience as custodian is required.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:  

    Working knowledge of all equipment and products (including chemicals and detergents) associated with the trade.
    Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Internet, and Outlook)

    Education Requirements:

    Completion of High School is required

    LANGUAGE:  

    Level III written and spoken English; Level III written and spoken Kiswahili.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

    Proven leadership qualities.
    Ability to supervise and clearly communicate with supervisor and subordinates.
    Ability to safely use all custodial cleaning equipment and supplies

    ROLE SUMMARY

    Implement the legal and regulatory framework on prudential supervision and market conduct to enhance the financial stability of the Sacco sub-sector, to enhance sound and fair conduct of Sacco business and empowerment of consumers.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assisting in assessment of license renewal applications as per the laid down procedures.
    Ensuring timely submission of regulatory returns and any adhoc reports by the Saccos.
    Assisting to check completeness and accuracy of the regulatory returns.
    Assisting in basic analysis of the financial and related data from the regulatory returns to understand performance and compliance status of the assigned Saccos.
    Understanding the prudential and market conduct regulatory framework in relation to performance of the Sacco societies
    Assisting in the inspection of premises for new branches of SACCO societies in line with the regulations and guidelines and make appropriate recommendations.
    Assisting in assessing corporate approval requests (such as establishment of branches, agency business introduction of new loan products, initiation of shares drive among others) from SACCOs and making recommendations through the supervisors
    Assisting is updating the register of corporate approval requests and determinations thereof.
    Assist in updating data and information on financial, operation, management and governance profile of the Saccos.
    Assisting in inspections and drafting of reports
    Drafting letters and other correspondence to the Saccos
    Ensuring timely dispatch of information, general correspondences, and circulars to SACCOs assigned and confirming timely receipt by the SACCOs in line with the laid down policy.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: – Finance, Economics/Statistics, Cooperative Management, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Law, ICT or any other relevant qualification from recognized institution.
    Demonstrate proficiency in relevant Computer Application; and
    Certificate in Computer Application Skills.

    Duties

    Working in the Facility Management section of the Embassy, the Carpentry Maintenance Worker carries out scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and repair work on finish and interior assemblies, furnishings and fixtures in all mission buildings and facilities including residential owned and leased properties. Job holder would repair, adjust and install doors, windows, hardware, wall, ceiling and floor coverings, sunshades and blinds; fixed furnishings; painting of various surfaces; and replacement specified glazing products with required installation materials. Assists as needed various manual tasks such as: demolition work, painting, plumbing, carpentry work, routine and preventive maintenance, and general clean-up of work areas.

    Qualifications and Evaluations
    Requirements:
    EXPERIENCE:  

    A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of building assemblies, furnishings and fixture operations.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:  

    Competence in:

    Maintenance and repair of various building finishes and assembles, components, fixtures and furnishings utilizing carpentry and general building construction skill.
    Ability to set up and operate a wide variety of wood working and metal machines, various types of power and hand held tools that meet accepted trade practices and safety procedures.
    Ability to utilize various types of electronic measuring devices and recording instruments.
    Testing procedures in control assembly tolerances, diagnose faults, determine current operating function to the design requirements, all in accordance with US and host country regulations.

    Education Requirements:
