    The main duties will include but are not limited to:

    Managing and supervising all Heavy Mobile Equipment Operators in line with their role descriptions and other staff and contractors as per job requirements
    Supervising earthmoving activities such as construction of small earthwork dams and loading haul & spoil activities and landscaping works by means of dozing
    Managing and responsibility of preparing and allowing for storm water control
    Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring all assigned tasks and targets are completed in a safe and timely with minimal risks, preventing property damage and loss of life.

    To succeed you will have:

    A tertiary education of a Diploma in Civil Engineering is highly preferred.
    At least five years’ experience in earthworks and civil operations and site supervision
    A solid understanding of survey level control and civil engineering drawings relating to earthworks. i.e. topographical plans
    Experience in the capabilities of earthmoving machines i.e. Excavator and Dozer machines
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
    A demonstrable ability to manage earthmoving activities and operating personnel 
    A good understanding of workplace Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    Help in identifying/seeking out vulnerable youths who need to be enrolled in the youth prevention programme and offer tailored interventions aimed at aspiring youths aim for a brighter future free from poverty.
    Intervene in emergency situations to benefit the lives of youth who are at high risk of school dropout, family breakdown, unplanned pregnancies, involvement in drugs, alcohol and crime as well as prostitution and gangs.
    Document assessment information, crisis interventions and any correspondence with youths or other professionals. Documentation must be thorough, accurate and timely in order to benefit both the client and the organization.
    Prioritize tasks, use good decision making practices and keep a calendar of important events or projects.
    Lead in planning and organizing youth group forums, small group mentoring sessions, consultation and advocacy with local partner organisations and access to vocational training. 
    Assist the M&E team in monitoring and evaluation element to ensure the work is having an impact.
    With the help of the senior social worker, conducting interviews with individual youth to assess and review their situation with use of My Star tool.
    Offering trainings, information and support to youths and ensure they access the right support to address concerns or challenges.
    Recommending and sometimes making decisions about the best course of action for a particular youth or family.
    Participating in meetings regarding, for example case management and child protection. 
    Prepare activity reports for both internal and external use.

    Analysis of value proposition of the private sector companies for alignment with UN Women’s work, the company’s corporate social responsibility activities and value chains, identifying areas of mutual collaboration for potential engagement at national and regional level. Also, identifying and entry points for integration of women owned business supported by UN Women.

    Experience conducting research with strong analytical and writing skills.
    Experience working with the private sector and developing strategy documents
    Knowledge of policies and legal frameworks on gender equality and women empowerment.
    Experience of working with UN Women or understanding the context of UN entities and their engagement with the private sector is an added advantage.

    Language Requirements

    Fluency in English is required;

    Overall Objective of the Role
    This role is responsible for identifying business development and partnership leads, propose business opportunities to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new and existing partners and clients. He/she will be responsible for growing and leading the business development team.
    Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

    Leads, builds and coordinates business and proposal development process including development and delivery, opportunity identification, tracking and pipeline management.
    Supports Company bids to secure new project contracts, development of technical ideas, formation of teams, development of budgets, writing of technical and financial bid sections.
    Develops and demonstrates subject matter expertise in our services and acts as a trusted advisor to our clients.

    Minimum Academic Requirement

    At least 2-3 years demonstrated ability to propose and win RFPs.
    At least 2-3 years’ experience working in research, knowledge management or a business development function.
    Excellent proposal writing skills and demonstrated ability to win projects based on proposals, EOIs and concept notes.
    Technical knowledge of economics public finance management, policy frameworks and public sector reform in developing countries
    Proficient in the use of MS-Office packages. Additional statistical software a plus. 
    Prior experience working in an international development consulting firm, with a strong preference for experience in the development sphere.
    Prior experience working in a multinational and multicultural environment.
    Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business, Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, or Sociology or other relevant area
    An advanced degree will be an advantage.
    Experience and/or Certification in project management a plus
