    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Analyse documentation and technical specifications for the application being developed in the project to determine its intended functionality and use the analysis to design quality objectives for the project including required customizations/enhancements/changes to improve product operating efficiency.
    Create, document and manage the overall quality assurance strategy for use in the project and have the strategy agreed with all stakeholders including clients. Design, document and execute a quality assurance masterplan while anticipating quality assurance challenges and developing targeted counter-plans for the specific challenges; ensure timely and seamless delivery of product that satisfies client expectations in all aspects
    Participate in intake process to determine scope and velocity needed in order to deliver software on a timely basis; collaborate with the developers to ensure project execution complies to contract and client expectations; ensure collaborators have a solid understanding of overall strategy
    Develop test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated); execute end-to-end functional and automated tests cases; analyze formal test results to discover and report any defects, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws; document issues in a fashion that enables a developer(s) to recreate the issue; drive actions needed for defect correction; assure project timeliness by undertaking comprehensive but prompt system testing, bug tracking and reporting by following up on and closing defect tickets immediately after weekly releases.
    Establish metrics to determine readiness, quality and operability of software, systems and products; prepare and present reports on progress across the metrics to client and project team; communicate QA status; partner with stakeholders, developers, product owners, and business analysts to help make decision on production readiness
    Participate in scrum daily status and project status calls to provide accurate updates on deliverable timelines and status.
    Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific client requirements; coordinate and conduct feature demonstrations for stakeholders once testing is concluded.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s or higher education in the field of information technology or similar,
    At least 5 years of working experiences in implementation of information system and 3 years in the area of quality assurance
    At least one successfully finished project for implementation of information system supporting core business processes for organization of similar size and complexity in the role of quality assurance manager

    Responsibilities:
    Finance Operations

    Develop operational strategies, processes and procedures, and manage financial day to day operations for the subsidiary
    Build and implement, with the support of Angaza’s central finance team a cost effective, efficient and compliant finance organization for the provision of credit solutions in the Kenyan market, including but not limited to:
    Advise on local regulations and practices and help assess tradeoffs and risks to help Angaza operate and grow its business
    Manage financial relationships with the company’s channel partners and customer care partners, including payments and all financial aspects of the relationship
    Provide financial leadership to the commercial and customer support teams with regard to the company’s channel partner and client management programs
    Lead on all financial matters for the Kenyan subsidiary

    Budgeting and Financial Planning

    Develop and manage cash forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning process

    Accounting and Monthly Close

    Cash Management

     Provide cash forecast for the entity to Angaza’s central Finance team

    Controls, Compliance, & Tax

     Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
     Seek and analyze information relative to local laws and regulations to help the central finance team formulate policies and make decisions
     Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
     Oversee tax reporting and ensure timely payment of all taxes to KRA
     Ensure overall compliance with all relevant regulations in Kenya

    Competencies and Expertise:

    Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field; master’s degree preferred
    7+ years of proven accounting experience (experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager preferred)
    Professional accounting or financial certification – strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and/or US GAAP)
    Strong understanding of lending/digital lending, data protection and related regulations and processes
    Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and practices. Knowledge of tax systems of other African countries desirable

    Identify and document the results (and project ongoing) achieved contributing to the TOC of the UN Women Flagship Programme Women’s Economic Empowerment through Climate Smart Agriculture in 11 countries in ESA Region through desk reviews of relevant documents and through key informant interviews at country level (conducted remotely) capturing both qualitative and quantitative aspects. Results should be reported in a comprehensive narrative from a regional perspective drawing together the combined achievements of country offices and compiling any knowledge products and communications materials developed during the course of the implementation between 2018-2022). The result report will be no longer than 20 pages of text (not including preliminary pages or annexes).
    Elaborate key best practices for regional replication and scale-up.

    Proposal Development

    Draft a multi-country regional project document in line with UN Women guidelines targeting with interventions at regional, national, and sub-national level in collaboration with country office and regional office teams. The project document will include a theory of change and project interventions across all countries in ESA that are implementing CSA programming.
    The project document will be based on an analysis and assessment of interventions (summaries based on the regional results report, UN Women studies and in discussion with regional and country focal points) that will close the gender gaps in agriculture productivity in an environmentally sustainable manner and assess the prospects for women increased agricultural productivity, and climate resilient agriculture adaptation.
    The project document will build on identified synergies between the ongoing country programme initiatives of UN Women to expand women’s role in the agricultural sector
    Coordinate the process of validation, revision, and finalization of the draft documents.

    Deliverables

    Climate Smart Agriculture results report for the East and Southern Africa Region in English. The result report will be no longer than 20 pages of text (not including preliminary pages or annexes).
    Project Document package with an accompanying detailed budget and results framework prepared, validated with UN Women country office focal points and submitted to UN Women
