    Work Experience

    A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, contract management or related area is required.
    At least three (3) years of direct first hand work in procurement is required out of which one year (1) or more must involve recent direct experience in procuring design and construction related services such as Renovations, New Build or Road Construction/Maintenance.
    Experience in managing large procurement cases for goods and services in a large international organization is desirable.
    Experience in procurement of building facilities and infrastructure related services is desirable.

Under the supervision of the Chief, Property Management Unit. Within delegated authority, the Property Management Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
    Responsibilities

    Plan, organize and conduct the annual physical verification exercise of property, plant and equipment in Nairobi for all agencies that have Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with UNON, as well as insurance risk management for the same.

    Plan and execute the physical verification exercise and conduct a findings and reconciliation exercise.
    Prepare the physical verification reports for management or auditors as required.
    Perform an impairment review exercise for all assets based on the physical verification outcome.
    Train and supervise the property control team.

    Arrange for insurance cover for property, plant and equipment for all agencies that have Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with UNON.

    Manage the insurance contract, follow-up on appropriate accounts to charge premium, verify the invoices and ascertain that the invoices are duly settled.
    Obtain particulars of items to be insured from user units, and arrange for new or renewal of insurance covers.
     Draft official correspondence and issue appropriate instructions to insurer/brokers.
    Scrutinize invoices from insurers for completeness and accuracy for onward payment processing.
    Process insurance claims and follow up with insurer/broker for prompt settlement.
    Prepare lists annually for UNEP and UN-Habitat Worldwide Vehicle Third Party Liability Insurance and process payment and reconciliation of the invoices.
    Responsible for organizing and processing request for insurance bids, tabulating offers and assisting in the recommendation of selection of bid winners.

    Maintain equipment and asset records for UNON and all agencies that have SLAs with UNON, for proper control and data accuracy. Run periodic and ad-hoc reports to ensure data validity.

    Check receiving and inspection reports to ensure equipment and asset records have been properly created and adequately enriched.
    Assist in performing ad hoc queries on the records management system using BI (Business Intelligence) on a periodic basis and generate management reports or statistics as needed.

    Monitor the movement of equipment within the UNON Complex and those brought out of the complex based on authorized gate passes.

    Monitor and verify gate pass requests through the portal and ensure all attractive equipment is insured.
    Update equipment movement details in the records management system upon receipt of hand-over vouchers for movement of equipment between staff members and to different locations.
     Process staff clearance.

    Assist with preparation of Property Survey Board (PSB) case reports for UNON and all agencies that have SLAs with UNON, and implement decisions of the board.

    Verify cases and update disposal status of equipment and assets submitted to PSB for approval.
    Update equipment and asset records as per PSB recommendation and upon finalization of physical disposal.
     Act as a backup for the staff member responsible for disposal.

    Maintain a list of asset focal points, organize training as and when required and coordinate correspondence for property management related matters.
    Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making.
    Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    The roles and responsibilities of the Field Agribusiness Coordinator include:

    Project Management: Oversees the development and implementation of agricultural projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet project objectives.
    Stakeholder Management: Manages relationships with stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, off-takers, government agencies, and other organizations to ensure the smooth implementation of projects.
    Market Analysis and Linkages: Conducts market research and analysis to identify opportunities for agricultural products and services by farmer service centers.
    Selection of Rural Agripreneurs: Facilitates the selection, profiling, and effective coordination of rural agripreneurs for aggregation of inputs/output demand, linkage to service providers, and extension services to smallholder farmers.
    Training and Capacity Building: Provides mentorship and coaching programs to farmers and rural agripreneurs and other stakeholders to improve their knowledge and skills in agribusiness.
    Digitization of Rural Agripreneurs: Works with a range of service providers and stakeholders to appropriately digitize the operations of rural agripreneurs for operational efficiency and sustainability.
    Financial Management: Manages the financial resources of agricultural projects, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
    Submission of Reports: Prepares and submits activity progress reports and any other documentation and analysis as may be required.
    Branding and Communication: Ensures that the organisations reputation and image is safe-guarded and enhanced through appropriate display and engagement.
    General: Performs any other roles as may be assigned by their supervisor.
    Overall, the role of an Agribusiness Coordinator is to facilitate and coordinate various program activities, ensuring that they are implemented successfully and meet the needs of stakeholders. They must have a good understanding of agricultural practices, as well as agribusiness and project management skills, to effectively manage projects and achieve their objectives.

    Relevant experience and skills

    Degree in any agriculture, business-related field, or project management
    Five (5) years experience gained in agricultural project implementation involving smallholder farmers in rural areas.
    Excellent inter-personal and mobilization skills and proven ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder fora.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Innovative, proactive, and problem-solving skills.
    Motorbike riding experience would be an added advantage.

    The position is located in the Office of Administration of Justice, in the registry supporting the United Nations Dispute Tribunal (UNDT) in Nairobi. The incumbent reports to the Principal Registrar.
    Responsibilities
    Under the authority of the Principal Registrar, without prejudice to the authority of the judges of the UNDT concerning judicial matters, and within delegated authority, the Registrar will be responsible for the following duties:

    Provide substantive, technical and administrative support to the judges of the UNDT;
    Maintain the UNDT’s registers (electronic and online), and ensure the publication and dissemination of the decisions, rulings and judgments rendered by the UNDT Nairobi, in the required official languages, through the agreed media;
    Maintain the UNDT’s case law, digests and jurisprudence database in coordination with the other two registrars;
    Provide inputs for reports on the work of the registry;
    Manage and administer the human, financial and other resources allocated to the Nairobi registry, as required;
    Analyze implications of emerging issues in the Registries and make recommendations on possible strategies and measures;
    Advise the Principal Registrar on administrative, personnel and logistical matters related to the registry’s operational activities;

    Responsibilities
    Under the general supervision of the Director General of UNON and guidance from the Under Secretary-General (DGACM), the incumbent will, within delegated authority, be responsible for the following functions:

    Provide policy guidance and executive supervision to the Division of Conference Services and coordinate its operations with UNEP and UN-Habitat.
    Formulate work programmes, costings and budgets based on forecasted workload and capacity; prepare programme budget submissions and budget performance reports; determines resource requirements and utilization rates.
    Provide guidance to and implements the conference-servicing programme of the client offices to ensure the most efficient and cost­ effective use of available resources and facilities and adherence to General Assembly resolutions on organizing and servicing of conferences and meetings.
    Coordinate DCS input for reports to an additional information for oversight bodies such as the General Assembly and its Committee on Conferences and other policy-making organs, as appropriate;
    Collaborate closely with DGACM in New York and the conference servicing entities of the other duty stations (Geneva and Vienna) in the framework of Integrated Global Management in order to achieve efficient utilization of conference servicing resources globally.
    Contribute to the formulation of DGACM’s global conference management strategies and policies relating to the provision of conference services, to the organization and servicing of meetings and conferences and the effective utilization of resources under the program budget and provide this policy advice to the Director-General, UNON
    Provide guidance and implements the Division’s chargeback system and the conference-servicing programme of the client offices.
    Manage the conference facilities at UNON in consultation with major users of conference resources at Nairobi in order to ensure their most effective utilization and, in cooperation with the Office of the Director-General UNON and Division of Administration, UNON realizes improvements to the facilities and increase in regular budget funding of the service.
    Provide policy, operational and managerial guidance to Conference Service staff, and approves proposals for recruitment of staff, extension of contracts or other personnel actions; ensures proper application of performance management to staff and recommends staff development activities and training.
    Through regular meetings of the Conference Service management team, develop innovative programmes to improve the cost efficiency of the service and its delivery;
    Implement remote translation for meetings outside Nairobi where feasible and outsourcing of documentation without compromising quality;
    Implement policies and strategies in line with the Organization’s IT Strategy and that of DGACM and facilitate support of DGACM conference management IT systems in the areas of meetings management, documents processing and translation used at all four DGACM duty stations as well as at regional commissions and other international organizations;
    Has overall supervisory responsibility for Conference Services, ensures effective coordination between sections and units of the service and implements the policy and standard practices of the UN and UNEP/UN-Habitat in the field of conference servicing and implementing the policies, procedures and standard practices in the field of conference-servicing, as established by the USG for DGACM;
    Initiate innovations, technical and procedural, to improve efficiency of services and directing development of training programmes for staff to that effect.
    Introduce and institutionalize methods of work for language staff, and forge closer working relations between interpreters, translators, editors and language and other support staff; Negotiate with government authorities the conclusion of host government agreements covering conference service requirements, costings, facilities for remote translation, including visits to meetings venues to review facilities.
    Represent UNEP and UN-Habitat at International Annual Meeting on Language Arrangements, Documentation and Publications (IAMLADP) and contributes to global management of UN conference services and ensures effective collaboration with DGACM/NY and counterparts in Geneva and Vienna.
    As part of the management team at UNON, represent the Division at the Management Board of UNON to advise the Director­ General and discusses and prepares decisions of the Director-General at UNON.
    Leads team members efforts to collect and analyze data and provides insight to identify trends or patterns for data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting. Ensures that everyone can discover, access, integrate and share the data they need.
