    Reporting to Tribe Lead, Payments Tribe, the position holder will be responsible for strategy and execution of the go-to-market strategy for M-PESA Superapp.
    Key responsibilities.

    Lead the execution of the go-to-market strategy for M-PESA Superapp. Design the marketing strategy to drive customer activity and revenue while incorporating data analysis to determine the best growth path as well as Soliciting direct customer feedback to validate the strategy for M-PESA Superapp.
    Drive campaigns from planning to execution and beyond to meet key performance metrics while constantly optimizing marketing activities to improve return on investment.
    Evaluating growth opportunities with MiniApps partners and jointly develop campaigns to drive usage of all the services delivered through 3rd Party Miniprograms. This will include brand guidelines, scheduling, budget and revenue sharing arrangements.
    Partner with the Product development agile squad to refine the product roadmap, offer market and customers insights to influence the direction of the product.
    Allocate budgets and analyze and recommend modifications to ad spends, optimize marketing budgets to maximize Cost per Acquisition (CPA) and efficiently scale new customers
    Drive revenue achieve targeted ROI and maintain positive KPI trends; Determine monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts and budgets.
    Track and evaluate KPIs of all marketing channels and determine necessary adjustments to optimize overall marketing effectiveness in line with budgeted marketing spend.
     Work with the Brand Marketing team to create aligned consumer communications across all channels and to ensure both strong commercial and consistent brand messages. Test
     Deliver clear, concise and reliable reporting on all activities to key stakeholders.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience in developing new products, such as product launch or product incubation expertise.
    Strong cross-group collaboration and communication skills within a highly matrixed organization.
    Commercial marketing or sales experience; familiarity with go-to-market channels/levers.
    Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.
    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field (or equivalent commercial experience) with 5 years in ecommerce experience, either on agency or client side.
    3+ years of experience in performance-based marketing.
    Experience of mobile and social marketing including apps is preferred.
    Experience in Marketing E-commerce or digital Lifestyle products will be an added advantage.

    We are pleased to announce the vacancy for an Area Sales Manager within the Channel, Sales & Distribution Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
    Detailed Description
    Reporting to the Senior Manager – Regional Sales the position holder will be in charge of effective management of agents & sub-agents in the assigned area, growing the agents/sub-agents business to ensure availability of M-PESA services in the area at all times. Indirect generation of sales revenue through effective management of Safaricom Business and Dealer distribution in the assigned area.
    Job Responsibilities

    Grow Sales within the Area by developing innovative ways of increasing/growing airtime sales, Mpesa Float availability and terminal sales at the Point of Purchase; Value added services and connections
    Executing to Win through Embedment of Safaricom effective execution daily (SEED) practices towards best in class execution of Trade activities.
    Indirect generation of sales revenue through effective management of Safaricom Business in the assigned area
    Effective implementation of distribution strategy in the trade to achieve availability and grow sales within the assigned area.
    Ensure achievement of set sales and usage targets i.e. Monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annually.
    Prepare, plan and execute Area Sales programs aimed at market penetration
    Ensure shops are well branded according to Safaricom standards & ensure stores are well stocked and sell at recommended sales prices.
    Effective implementation of market penetration strategy in the trade and distribution of all Safaricom products within the territory
    Route mapping and route coverage monitoring of sales team while conducting marketing intelligence.
    Coaching and Capability development for the sales team

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Degree in a business-related field.
    Must have at least 4 years working experience in sales and distribution, of which 2 years must be in leading a sales team in sales growth and revenue generation.
    Exceptional leadership and people management skills
    Excellent knowledge of Safaricom products and services.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills (articulate) coupled with good listening and critical reasoning skills.
    Professional Sales training will be a strong advantage
    Proactive, confident, energetic and able to work under pressure with a positive attitude and use good organization skills.
    Mentoring/coaching skills/experience
    Must be willing to work anywhere in the country
