    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Reporting to the Manager – Enterprise Systems Planning & Delivery, the role holder will be responsible for development and 3rd line support of the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application (On-Prem and Fusion), POS Application and bespoke oracle interfaces and software components. 
    He or she will work with other departments within the company to identify requirements and develop solutions (database design, workflows, user/data interfaces). 
    The role holder will also configure and/or customize Oracle ERP applications to meet business requirements using various database and software tools, assist in presentations of system functionality to new users and departments and enhance and create user and system documentation as needed.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Review and provide input on design approach, performance and base functionality. Ensure integration of designs across development team and design, build & test ERP components e.g. interface, conversion and report programs;
    Appropriately monitor interfaces to oracle ERP. Provide training and support on oracle ERP modules and development tools, review & interpret technical manuals for the Oracle ERP system and assist in creating/update Oracle TAR’s.
    Perform integrations between on-premise ERP and Fusion and also integrations to third party systems.
    Ensures the effectiveness of overall systems performance.
    Design and develop front-end tier(s), middle tier(s), and /or back-end database tier(s) for business applications.
    Participate in the capturing of business applications information needs and mapping of the same to the software and /or database components.
    Perform data modeling to analyze and specify data structures within an application system.
    Support new and existing application development by creating modifications and enhancements for Oracle ERP applications and perform high level system design.
    Conduct business user requirements analysis and specification.
    Specify computer system requirements for the solution of complex business problems and formulates designs for their solutions.
    Perform the necessary technical design and development functionality to ensure that business application systems can be effectively developed and implemented.
    Interact with clients to gather and refine requirements.
    Create test plans, test data sets and perform automated testing to ensure all components of the developed systems meet specifications.
    Work directly with the IT support personnel and teams to resolve issues identified and escalated during daily operations.
    Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents.
    Formalize test plans and implement troubleshooting procedures.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    IT, Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering.
    Extensive programming experience using Java J2EE, Pl/Sql, VB, SQL,C++
    Extensive experience with databases – data structures, relational data model, Stored Procedures, PL/SQL development or NoSQL DBs.
    Certification in Database systems and RDBMS systems, OCA, OCP or ODI/SOA certifications.
    Extensive experience working with Cloud Native applications and development. Experience in ERP integrations both Fusion and EBS.
    3 years of work experience in Oracle ERP applications development, which includes system customization and report designs.
    Conversant with OAF development
    3 years of work experience with RDMS preferably MS SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, and Informix.
    Experience in data warehousing, business analysis, knowledge in Business Systems modeling and data retrieval
    4GL for programming – Visual Basic/Oracle Application builder.
    Unix user skills.
    Experience in processes and procedures management.

    Main Objective

    The Project Development Intern (PDI) supports the Project Development Unit to ensure proper grant management by developing quality project progress reports in compliance with donors’ rules. The PDI helps facilitate smooth internal communication and coordination with relevant departments and contributes to Acted external communication strategy. The PDI contributes to fundraising efforts by participating in the development of project proposals in line with Acted’s global and in-country programme strategy.

    Responsibilities:
    Research and analysis

    Research and analysis of current socio-environmental issues in Kenya
    Undertake donor research and analysis to increase the understanding of the donor environment in Kenya as well as long-term perspectives and preferences
    Map and identify network partners to complement Acted’s work in any funding opportunity

    Reporting

    Participate in and take minutes of meetings for each project
    Write quality narrative reports, reflecting the progress and status of projects in a transparent, timely and professional manner

    Required qualifications and technical competencies:

    Master’s degree in international development studies, international relations, human rights, environmental studies, migration, or a related field;

    Previous related work experience, with knowledge of reporting
    Prior work/volunteering experience with an NGO and/or prior experience with international donor-funded projects will be an advantage
    Knowledge of the local context and/or knowledge of climate change related issues will be an advantage
    Good team spirit and motivation
    Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to manage multiple tasks
    Good organizational and prioritization skills;

    The Cyber Security Prevent Team is responsible for implementing cyber security architecture and policies. The team is in charge of the day-to-day running of the Cyber Security Infrastructure, managing support SLAs with both internal and external customers, and running of key cyber security programs. 
    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Prevent and Defense, the successful candidate will lend support in day-to-day operation and maintenance of Cyber Security solutions and services to ensure 99.999% uptime. He /she will provide technical security expertise and 2nd level support to staff and teams to ensure the efficient use of systems and tools.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    Act as an operational team lead in the configuration, management and upgrade of a wide variety of cyber security technologies e.g. Intrusion Prevention systems, Web Application firewalls, Anti-DDOS protection, Web & Email content filtering, Endpoint Security, PKI & certificate management, multi-factor authentication, privileged identity management etc…
    Liaise with other business leads and participate in project meetings and contribute to design reviews – from high level design/architecture to configuration of system level parameters to meet security goals.

    The Software Engineering Team Lead, also referred to as Release Train Engineer will be responsible for driving the development and continuous improvement of the converged M-Pesa app across all the countries that we support. This role is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional digital customer experience and will manage a team of talented developers in a SAFe Agile environment.  They will also provide strong technical leadership, facilitate Scrum events, resolve impediments, and ensure the team’s adherence to Agile principles, deliver the Strategic Product RoadMap and stay current with emerging technologies and trends, incorporating them into the app’s development where relevant.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse cross-border team of Software Engineers and Technical resources through establishing fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
    Drive the technical direction of the converged app, ensuring it aligns with the company’s goals and vision
    Provide strong technical leadership, setting the direction for software development teams
    Apply systems thinking, encourage collaboration between teams, Product Management and System Architects
    Manage and coordinate development efforts within a SAFe Agile framework, focusing on continuous delivery and value creation
    Facilitate Scrum events, resolve impediments, and ensure the team’s adherence to Agile principles.
    Facilitate PI Planning
    Infuse a design-centric approach into development, ensuring the app’s usability, aesthetics, and user experience are of the highest quality
    Collaborate with designers and Product Owners to create an app that resonates with our customers
    Deliver the Strategic Product RoadMap
    Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, incorporating them into the app’s development where relevant
    Provide technical guidance, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure the app’s scalability and performance
    Champion a customer-centric mindset within the team, continuously seeking to improve the app based on user feedback and market trends
    Strive for a seamless and intuitive customer experience
    Develop and execute a Strategic Software Engineering plan that aligns with M-Pesa Africa’s objectives

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
    5-8 Years’ experience in Software engineering and/ or software testing within a Fintech applications and services in multi-national environment 
    Proven experience in mobile app development and management, especially in the FinTech sector
    Extensive experience in software development and engineering leadership, with a proven track record of delivering complex software solutions.
    Strong technical knowledge, particularly in mobile app technologies, software design methodologies, tools and architecture.
    Agile methodology and SAFe framework expertise, with SAFe 6.0 certification preferred.
    Design thinking and user experience (UX) design awareness.
    Excellent leadership and communication skills.
