    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The main duties are:

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Service Quality Management: Ensure container management platforms perform within or exceed KPIs, ensure ability of the system to support specific forms of traffic, and to support end user experience. The same should be tracked using SLAs.
    Resolve faults on all systems deployed for containers and container management platforms.
    Escalate to supplier if needed and follow up until resolution
    Quick Turnaround time to resolve emerging threats / issues
    Develop & utilize new products & service acceptance criteria. Active participation in the section to enable team meet sectional and departmental Goals and objectives.
    Have a full understanding of the defined performance indicators, assign tasks, and objectives set.
    Operate within approved CAPEX & OPEX expenditure for the section to meet sectional objectives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    BSc Degree in computer science, IT or engineering.
    3+ years’ experience working with RedHat OpenShift Infrastructure design, deployment and operational support
    Extensive knowledge of Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures
    Experience with Container/PaaS orchestration/management platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, CloudFoundry.
    Extensive knowledge of enterprise Linux Server Operating Systems such as RHEL/ CentOS, Ubuntu.
    Deep conceptual and applied understanding of DevOps concepts, tools, and practices
    Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Tekton or comparable substitutes

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Lead and champion Enterprise IoT technology delivery for Enterprise customers.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must have Network Connectivity Certifications on professional level.i.e. CCIP, CCNP, CCVP, CCSP HCNP, HCIP, CWNP and above. and/or
    Strong understanding of emerging digital technologies: SDWAN, IoT, Telematics, RPA. Certifications and practical hands-on experience on the same is an added advantage.

    Job Purpose 
    This position is responsible for execution of the Commission’s Strategy on Collective Bargaining Negotiations for the public sector and making appropriate recommendations. 
    Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks  
    Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities 

    Ensure compliance on all statutory requirements, Government Circulars and Commission policies;
    Review the analysed data relating to Collective Bargaining Negotiations for Public sector institutions;
    Review the Collective Bargaining Negotiations (CBN) proposals based on appropriate parameters;
    Provide technical input to the development and review of training curriculum Collective Bargaining Negotiations;
    Contribute to the development and regular review of CBN guidelines;
    Provide input into the departmental work plan and compile budget estimates to inform the departmental planning process;
    Lead the development and performance management of staff that report to the position for the achievement of both individual and departmental goals;
    Carry out training needs assessment and propose training programmes for departmental staff;
    Mentor and coach staff that report to the position; and
    Identify and evaluate risks and implications of all of the departmental activities.

    Operational Responsibilities / Tasks 

    Implement   policies, procedures and manuals on Collective Bargaining Negotiation processes;
    Undertake CBN analysis in consultation with the Ministry of Labour to ensure that CBN and Agreements are consistent with the mandate of the Commission;
    Conduct comparative analysis of the submitted Collective Bargaining Agreements as well as remuneration and benefits data against set parameters and make appropriate recommendations;
    Work closely with the Employment and Labour Relations Court to ensure that the Commission’s advice is obtained before CBAs are registered;
    Ensure consistency and uniformity on Labour Relations matters relating to remuneration and benefits in the public sector;
    Train, sensitize and provide technical support to public sector institutions to build capacity in Collective Bargaining Negotiations
    Liaise with the Ministry in charge of Labour and Social Protection as well as the Employment and Labour Relations Court on all ongoing and emerging CBN matters;
    Maintain an up to date CBA data base to ensure ease of retrieval, confidentiality and consistency in decision making;
    Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Head of Department;
    Provide feedback to enhance business processes and initiate process improvement to achieve operational excellence.
    Develop individual work plans, monitor own performance and seek requisite support to ensure delivery of agreed targets
