    Job Purpose
    Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for ensuring that Tullow Kenya Import/Export activities are carried out in accordance with the Kenyan law and the Kenya Business Unit customs procedures.     Responsibilities
    Ensure that the contracted Freight Forwarder allocates sufficient resources to clear goods in a timely manner.
    Ensure internal customs processes and procedures are communicated and understood by both Tullow staff and its Contractors with respect to the documentation required to complete the import and export processes.
    Responsible for the tracking and expedition of imports by Freight Forwarders in order to meet the set timelines as per project mobilization requirements.
    Develop and implement reporting tools to maintain the visibility of the expediting and customs clearance processes.
    Responsible for the management and control of all customs documentation, reports for both internal & external audits and security bonds in line with Tullow Kenya procedures while ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
    Act as the first point of contact in resolving all queries and correspondences relating to customs.
    Track and manage the Tullow Kenya Customs Bond facility to ensure that this is managed in line with company procedure and policy and ensuring the timely retirement of Customs Bonds relating to Tullow Kenya Consignments to the minimum requirements.
    Maintain a good rapport with Government bodies and contractors concerned with matters relating to customs resolving any issues arising.
    Supervise the activities of clearing and forwarding agents to ensure that any payments made are legal, transparent and in compliance with Tullow policies and procedures.

    Facilitate and process tax exemption documents and requests.

    Requirements

    Holder of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Certification.

    Position Overview

    Lead the development of an engaging and compelling AAS brand in Africa, develop and implement a Pan African communication, fundraising and marketing strategy that leverages unique strengths of AAS to achieve Africa’s targets for research and innovation growth.

    To plan, develop and implement effective and efficient communication strategies for the AAS and raise awareness and understanding of the Academy’s activities across Africa and globally. To manage all communication activities and requirements for the Academy and provide technical support to departments within the Academy as required.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Communications & Public Relations

    Lead on all aspects of developing the internal and external communication strategy for the Academy
    Develop and implement relevant and appropriate communication and information exchange guidelines, mechanisms and procedures for the Academy.
    Work closely with the Executive Director and Managers of units within the Academy to develop appropriate communication materials and mechanisms to disseminate them to science policymakers, research dissemination agencies, scientific research networks and other relevant stakeholders across Africa.

    The physiotherapist’s primary responsibilities providing direct client care include:

    Conduct appropriate physiotherapy assessment to client.

    Assist with CVTs community outreach and awareness, education, and sensitization campaigns and programs when needed.
    Liaise with CVT PSCs to identify children, teenagers, men, and women whose physical functioning may have been affected by war related experiences and encourage them to approach CVT for support.
    Assist in designing, planning, logistics, implementing and facilitating external training programs for local decision makers, community members and local and international NGO’s, and government/ministry staff on trauma and health issues in order to develop a more supportive environment for people whose physical functioning has been affected by experiences of torture and war trauma.
    Contribute to completing the documentation and reporting of external trainings.
    Assist with developing referral systems and encourage collaboration between local groups and leaders, local and international NGOs, and government ministries.
    Attend interagency meetings to improve service delivery to our client groups and access opportunities to forward CVT’s work.

    The Physiotherapists primary responsibilities to promote self-care through support and supervision include:

    Attend regular support, debriefing, case conferences, and/or supervision meetings to ensure information and skill-sharing.

    What to expect

    Create geography-wise brand plans to achieve operating-unit/ country-wise share of sales and distribution targets.
    Partner with media manager/ media agency to draw up media plans for relevant operating unit and/ or country in the sub-Saharan Africa region.
    Build communication and advertising campaigns in line with the positioning of brands to further drive brand salience and consumer preference.
    Execute activation programs including designing/ production of POSM, consumer promotions, E-com activities, sampling programs, etc.
    Work to identify market-specific threats/ opportunities and execute plans like price/ pack modifications, product innovations, marketing communications etc.
    Design and implement all aspects of the G-T-M for new product launches within the consumer products portfolio.
    Work with internal/ external creative teams and other agencies to build 360 IMC campaigns.
    Understand brand-wise P&L and identify key cost drivers and work towards driving improved margins and profitability.
    Assist preparing for weekly/ monthly brand performance reviews.

    Essential skills, experience & education:

    Excellent consulting and communication skills, with the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders.
    Strong collaboration skills to partner with functional teams, agency partners and business teams.
    Strong communication skills to push on ground activation agenda.
    Strong analytical skills, understanding consumer needs/ trends and problem-solving approach.
    Experience of working cross-culturally with diverse colleagues in a complex multi-country, matrix environment is preferred.
    8-10 years of total relevant experience with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in marketing/ brand management, ideally within a consumer healthcare or FMCG environment with proficiency in various aspects of marketing as – traditional marketing, digital, social media, event planning and product management.
    Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent is mandatory, tertiary qualifications such as MBA in Marketing highly preferred.

    Psychosocial Counselor

    Responsibilities.

    In collaboration with site team and under the supervision of the Psychotherapist Trainer, the Psychosocial Counselor functions includes but are not limited to:

    Render psycho-social services to individuals, groups and communities to assist them to recover from the effects of torture and war trauma.

    Providing comprehensive psycho-social support to survivors of war trauma and torture who have sought assistance by completing an initial screening and intake assessment; individual and group treatment plans; case management including timely referral, follow-up, and advocacy if necessary; home visits; and follow-up assessments.
    Coordinating their efforts with Community Workers (CWs) to ensure case management goals are properly achieved.
    Carrying out individual or family counseling sessions with clients affected by war trauma or torture.
    Facilitating of group counseling processes, including selection of group members, planning the group process, and group facilitation.
    Providing interpretation between clients and other CVT staff members when needed.
    Ensuring that all required documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.
    Ensuring that all work with clients is confidential and that ethical practices are observed at all times.

    Develop the community’s awareness, understanding and engagement with the issues relating to mental health, war trauma, and torture.

    Assist in planning and implementing community mental health, war trauma and torture awareness and education campaigns and programs.
    Sensitize, problem solve, dialogue, and mediate with the wider population about the issues of the war, torture, trauma and traumatized people in order to raise understanding, develop coping strategies and encourage those who need psycho-social services to approach CVT.
    Coordinate their efforts with Community Workers (CWs) to ensure community awareness goals are properly achieved.

    Make the CVT services known and accessible to people whose psycho-social functioning has been impaired by their experiences of torture and war trauma.

    Identify children, teenagers, men, and women whose psycho-social functioning may have been affected by war related experiences and encourage them to approach CVT for support.
    Develop the referral systems and encourage collaboration between local groups and leaders, CBOs, local and international NGOs, and government ministries.
    Attend interagency meetings to improve service delivery to our client groups and access opportunities to forward CVT’s work.
    Ensure that the reporting and documentation of these processes is completed and minutes of meetings are filed.

    Train role players and community members in basic trauma and mental health issues:

    Assisting in designing, planning, implementing and facilitating training programs for local decision makers, community members and CBOs, local and international NGOs, government/ministry staff and CVT colleagues on trauma and mental health issues in order to develop a more supportive environment for people whose psycho-social functioning has been affected by experiences of torture and war trauma.
    Contribute to completing the documentation and reporting of external training.

    Promote Self-care through Support and Supervision

    Attending regular support, debriefing, case conferences, and supervision coaching meetings to ensure information and skill-sharing
    Attending trainings provided by CVT and other agencies as directed by Psychotherapist-Trainer
    Implementing Psychotherapist-Trainer recommendations and training in day to day clinical work
    Providing feedback to Psychotherapist-Trainer on training and supervision.
    Requesting support from Psychotherapist-Trainer or Counseling Supervisor as needed.
    Submit files to the Counseling Supervisor or Psychotherapist-Trainer for regular review and support (related to counseling duties)
    Setting objectives for each week and month, which contribute to achieving the objectives. Plan the activities required to achieve these objectives.
    Submitting weekly and monthly statistics form and reports (in relation to counseling and supervision responsibilities)
    Setting and follow through on a personal self-care schedule to avoid burnout and vicarious traumatization.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling or related field. Master Degree in similar field will be an added advantage.
    At least 2-3 years in field experience within a Humanitarian NGO/Agency in the same or similar position.
    Extensive experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and groups.
    Understanding of and experience implementing culturally appropriate mental health interventions, including individual, group and community-based approaches for people who have suffered torture and trauma.
    Experience with gender-based violence highly desirable.
    Willingness to work with minorities group highly desired
    Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and needs.
    Skilled at working as a member of a team.
    Working knowledge of English and Swahili
    Experience in working as a counselor or ability to be an empathic counselor
    Experience working in local and regional context and knowledge of local area and community structures desirable.
    Previous working experience with refugee desired.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to maintain neutrality, impartiality and confidentiality in all aspects of work undertaken.
    Excellent skills in organization, attention to detail and time management (including the ability to meet deadlines) Interest in or commitment to human rights
