    Purpose

    To design a dashboard so as to enable effective and efficient data collection processes and run automated analytics to understand and visualize the data across a range of variables, helping management teams to lift performance and accountability across BRAC International Offices, leading to greater impact of our work on the ground.

    Scope of Work (Role and Responsibilities)

    Take lead in designing the dashboard and capacitating the CO Teams to manage the dashboard:
    Design a dashboard for tracking performance, improvement and accountability of the performance standards using either excel or any other free to use software package in agreement with Regional Office management.
    Design standard formulas within the dashboard for generating graphs and tables that should be automatically generated from the master sheet including: Performance Tables per category of standards for each Country, Overall Performance per Country and Region, Quarterly Trends analysis Tables per category of standards for each Country, Quarterly overall performance Trends analysis graphs per Country and Region for 4 quarters. The programming should ensure restricted permission to the relevant staff. I.e some areas of the spreadsheets or tabs should be locked for access or hidden so as to maintain confidentiality among unauthorized users only.
    Deliver training to CO teams and other relevant teams on how to fill/update, manage and navigate through the dashboard
    Support in operationalizing of the Dashboard to the Country Office Teams for performance assessment, improvement and accountability
    Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
    Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

    Major Deliverables

    Detailed work plan (including meetings with relevant stakeholders) – 3 Day
    Functional Dash Board developed (Including Piloting/Testing) – 12 Days
    Training delivered to teams in 9 BI Countries in Africa and Asia – 4 Days
    A completed dashboard using Q1_2024 data set (including data collection and verification) – 10 Days
    Produce automatically generated Tables and graphs of analytics from the master sheet of all the standards using the Q1_2024 data set for 2 Regions (Africa and Asia) in 9 Countries (6 in Africa and 3 in Asia) including: Performance Tables per category of standards for each Country, Overall Performance per Country and Region, Quarterly Trends analysis Tables per category of standards for each Country, Quarterly overall performance Trends analysis graphs per Country and Region). – 6 Days

    Job summary:

    Responsible for designing a dashboards so as to enable effective and efficient data collection process and run analytics to help lift performance and accountability across BRAC International Africa Offices, leading to greater impact of our work on the ground.

    Qualification:

    Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Organisational Development, IT, or equivalent is required.
    Experience: in designing dashboards/soft systems and working with teams.

    Skills:

    Excellent written and spoken English and communication skills (both written and oral) to interact with people/teams of diverse background, data analysis and report writing
    Basic Technical knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation and Learning functions and management. Plus data analysis and report writing
    Technical knowledge and practice of software development and programming (especially excel)

    Terms and Conditions

    The consultant will closely work with the Head of Quality, Performance and Operations, Focal Staff at the Country Offices, and Regional Office in completing the above mentioned scope of work.
    He will also be supported by the Deputy Regional Director to accomplish the above-mentioned activities.     The consultant’s research and inputs are expected to cover the following:    

    Introduction to the topic of NbI, including key concepts and functions of NbI.  
    Examples of service delivery through NbI in different sectors and ecosystems, and identification of the types of services and sectors most relevant for decent work in NbI.  
    Discussion of NI specific issues that may have implications for decent work outcomes, e.g., integration of NbI with other types of infrastructure, the timeframes required for service delivery through NbI, and comparison between NbI and other types of infrastructure solutions. 
     Identification and description of the different types of work involved in planning, delivering and operating NbI across different phases of the infrastructure lifecycle.  
    Identification of the skills needed for performing the identified types of work.  
    Barriers to decent work creation through NbI and recommendations on how to address the barriers.   
    Identification of two case studies to illustrate decent work in NbI.  
    The examples and case studies provided should, to the greatest degree possible, reflect geographic diversity in the use of NbI, both in terms of the types of landscapes and ecosystems where they are deployed, as well as the socioeconomic context (i.e., examples from both the Global North and South). 
    In addition, the chapter should address the differences in the scales of NbI, both micro-scale NbI (e.g., green wall) and landscape-scale (e.g., watershed protection).

    Functional Responsibilities

    Provide assistance and project management, monitoring and reporting for specific implementation phases of the Adaptation and Resilience Programme Coordination Project across UNEP divisions.

    Support the development, and coordination of partnership and policy influencing activities for adaptation and resilience: Internal (e.g., GAN, Copenhagen Climate Center, relevant UNEP offices and programmes, GAN Europe network) External (e.g., Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action, Climate Resilience Food Systems Alliance, and other climate adaptation programmes and networks, etc.) and strengthen UNEP engagement with organizations and groups engaged on adaptation.

    Qualifications/special skills

    The candidate should possess a master’s degree in environment-related sciences, climate change or related fields is required. 
    A first level university degree (bachelor or equivalent) with two (2) additional years of professional experience will be accepted in lieu of a Master’s degree. 
    At least five years’ experience working in the field of climate change adaptation, ecosystem management and sustainable development is required 
    Experience in policy engagement and coordination in the area of climate change adaptation, nature-based solutions and ecosystem management is required. 
    Experience in planning and organizing workshops and conferences on climate change or energy with an international audience, particularly on-line events. 
    Strong Knowledge of the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) processes and the international climate governance related to the Paris Agreement, in particular adaptation and loss and damage. Experience in project management and coordination.

    Main tasks and responsibility:

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 
    In close consultation with the Evaluation Manager, the Evaluation Consultant will be responsible for the overall management of the Evaluation and timely provision of its outputs, data collection and analysis and report-writing.

    The consultant will ensure that all evaluation criteria and questions are adequately covered.

    More specifically:  

    Inception phase of the Evaluation, including: preliminary desk review and introductory interviews with project staff;  
    draft the reconstructed Theory of Change of the project;  
    prepare the evaluation framework;
    develop the desk review and interview protocols;  
    draft the survey protocols (if relevant);  
    develop and present criteria for country and/or site selection for the evaluation mission;
    plan the evaluation schedule;
    prepare the Inception

    Report, incorporating comments until approved by the Evaluation Manager  Data collection and analysis phase of the Evaluation, including:  

    conduct further desk review and in-depth interviews with project implementing and executing agencies, project partners and project stakeholders;  (where appropriate and agreed) conduct an evaluation mission(s) to selected countries, visit the project locations, interview project partners and stakeholders, including a good representation of local communities.
    Ensure independence of the Evaluation and confidentiality of evaluation interviews. regularly report back to the Evaluation Manager on progress and inform of any possible problems or issues encountered and; keep the Project Manager informed of the evaluation progress.  
    Reporting phase, including:  draft the Main Evaluation Report, ensuring that the evaluation report is complete, coherent and consistent with the Evaluation Manager guidelines both in substance and style; liaise with the Evaluation Manager on comments received and finalize the Main Evaluation Report, ensuring that comments are taken into account until approved by the Evaluation Manager prepare a Response to Comments annex for the main report, listing those comments not accepted by the Evaluation Consultant and indicating the reason for the rejection; and (where agreed with the Evaluation Manager) prepare an Evaluation Brief (2-page summary of the evaluand and the key evaluation findings and lessons)  Managing relations, including: maintain a positive relationship with evaluation stakeholders, ensuring that the evaluation process is as participatory as possible but at the same time maintains its independence; communicate in a timely manner with the Evaluation Manager on any issues requiring its attention and intervention.  The Evaluation Consultant shall have had no prior involvement in the formulation or implementation of the project and will be independent from the participating institutions. The consultant will sign the Evaluation Consultant Code of Conduct Agreement Form.    The Evaluation Consultant will be selected and recruited by the UNEP Evaluation Office through an individual consultancy contract.  

    Comprehensive terms of reference will be shared with the consultant separately.
    Qualifications/special skills

    A first level university degree in environmental sciences, international development or other relevant political or social sciences area is required and an advanced degree in the same areas is desirable.

    Review incoming correspondence to the Division, process the same in line with procedures and ensure that appropriate follow-up is taken.
    Review all outgoing correspondence for signature by the Director and ensure that the highest quality is maintained
    Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through graphs, charts, tables, and reports using data visualization methods to enable data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting.
    Perform other related duties as requested by the Director.

    Education

    Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in environmental Climate Change, social or political sciences, business administration, environmental management or a related field is required. A first level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.

    Work Experience

    A minimum of (5) five years of progressively responsible experience in the field of sustainable development or environment-related programmes, or public administration, including at the international level is required. Work experience in United Nations system or similar international organization is desirable A minimum of two (2) years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

    Languages

    English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable

    About The Role

    The Customer Care Specialist acts as the key contact between the customer and the company and will be responsive to customer’s requirements at all times, (both internal and external) and resolve customer queries quickly and will direct their efforts to maximize the customer experience. The incumbent is required to display a professional image of the company and provides a comprehensive service in a high performance, customer-focused environment. Additionally, apply order fulfilment methods in order to achieve accurate and efficient order processing. The incumbent will also work towards achieving the required Service Rating towards the KPI’s, through system knowledge, accuracy, attitude and proactive service.

    The position is based in Kenya, Nairobi.
    Key Responsibilities

    Accurate processing of quotes and pro-forma invoice requests
    Accurate sales order capturing or conversions
    Ensure changes to orders are maintained
    Provide accurate weekly open order reports
    Provide full and concise feedback pro-actively
    Ensure adherence to SLA’s and KPI’s per Kerry strategy
    Liaise with sites via cockpits on changes to orders or escalations
    OTIF management
    Build relationships with Key Account Managers and sites to create a culture of inclusivity
    Apply knowledge of inco-terms to all orders
    Follow the export documentation requirement processes
    Apply country specific requirements ie: IDF, LC

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience

    Diploma/Degree will be beneficial with a minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience within an export administration environment
    Proficiency in English and French languages is essential
    Knowledge of SAP Software Applications
    Experience working with Salesforce is preferable
    Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
    Experience in handling customer queries
    Understanding order to billing process
    Understanding of Incoterms, Letters of Credit and Import Declaration Forms
