    Based in Dagahaley Refugee Camp
    Project Summary: The objective of our project is to provide primary and secondary level of health care to the Refugees in Dagahaley refugee camp. MSF provides a full package of medical care through 2 primary health care units and 1 hospital (100 beds) with 24 hour emergency and OT.
    Health services include curative, preventative, nutritional activities and emergency preparedness and intervention with partners.
    The selected candidate will be reporting directly to the Project Head Nurse.
    Start date: Immediately

    Contract duration: 12 months fixed term contract with possibility of extension based on performance (includes 3 month probationary period)
    The Job Activities include but are not limited to;

    Carry out the functions and tasks associated to his/her speciality, i.e. perform as a nurse, midwife, labtech and anaesthetist, whenever required or needed, in order to optimize the resources, contributing with his/her knowledge and experience.
    Implement all the protocols and hygiene procedures, and supervise his/her team follow the same standards, in order to warrant the quality of the care and service in his/her speciality.
    Organize and coordinate the activities of his/her team (week’s schedule, annual leave, absences, etc.), evaluate their performance and define and ensure the needs for training of staff, in order to ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality.
    Carry out and/or supervise the ( decentralized) pharmacy and medical equipment management (drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption, etc.) in his or her department, in order to satisfy the needs of material with efficiency and effectiveness.
    Carry-out and/or coordinate administrative (exit-paper, transfer-paper, etc.), information and data collection (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.) tasks, and elaborate regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about the day-to-day activity in the project, output/ outcome and support decision-taking.
    First foremost, the team supervisor is a nurse or midwife, thus is able to ensure the function of nurse or midwife (refer to it) and to help when there is a need for it in the ward
    Daily management of his/her team utilizing a prioritized work plan as a supervision tool
    Maintain the RH database of all ANC,PNC,FP patients and continuously update all the information therein.
    Participate in the interdepartmental meetings with outreach and maternity in order to complete the RH action plans.
    Maintain the High Risk database, take part in all the High Risk Clinics and give feedback to the Nursing Director, NAM, HD, Head Of Outreach and MTL.
    As the RH focal person, represent MSF in RH and SV coordination meetings with other agencies
    Supervise and/or carry out efficiently the pharmacy and medical equipment management: drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption.
    Actively monitor and report medical activities (correctly fill in patient files, forms, statistics, reports) and analyse these statistics.
    Report immediately to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss / robbery / damage of medical equipment or medicines.
    Support other MSF department when and where necessary.

    Requirements

    Education: Specialty (nurse or midwife) diploma essential
    Experience: Essential 2 years of previous experience having worked in MSF or other NGO’s and in developing countries is desirable.
    Languages: Essential mission and local language (English and Kiswahili)

    Responsibilities

    The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, results-oriented Logistics Officer to provide logistics and procurement support to CIP Sub-Sahara Africa Region.
    The Position: The Logistics officer will be based at the CIP Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya.
    Key responsibilities:
    Logistics

    Regional strategic thinking on implementing a holistic supply chain system, procurement planning, budgeting (and start-up planning for projects), capacity building for countries and partners on areas of supply chain/ procurement for various donors;
    Supervise supply chain officers to deliver quality, timely, effective and efficient support to research;
    In liaison with the Logistics Senior Manager in HQ, update the procurement policies within CIP to facilitate result-based management;
    Negotiation with Suppliers long term contracts;
    Identification of new suppliers for Africa;
    Follow carefully EU, USAID, African Development Bank Rules and Regulations as requested;

    Procurement

    Facilitate procurement planning with all budget holders to ensure timely procurement of goods and services;
    Supervise the procurement monitoring system (for tracking);
    Ensure cost-effectiveness, quality and timely delivery of all supply chain clients’ requirements;
    Ensure suppliers are formally pre-qualified prior to inclusion on suppliers list;
    Ensure compliance with CIP and ALL Donor Supply Management policies and procedures;
    Proactively anticipate procurement needs and seek economies of scale by organizing procurements across projects/departments;
    Proactively anticipate supply chain related risks and develop appropriate mitigations;
    In consultation with Finance ensure procurements are within budget and appropriate for technical needs;
    Manage resources to ensure value for money;
    Guide on performance evaluation for outsourced service providers;

    Coordinate with the technical team on the development of procurement scopes of work;

    Stores and Inventory Management

    Advise the technical staff on commercial clauses of legal instruments to ensure that they get the best equipment/ services.

    Supplier / Stakeholder relations

    Ensure good supplier relations are maintained;
    Ensure WIN-WIN negotiations are carried out with suppliers to ensure sustainable mutual gains for both CIP and the supplier organizations;
    Backstop countries in CIP SSA on supply chain and logistics issues.

    Selection Criteria

    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Business or related disciplines.
    Al least 3 years of experience required in similar position.
    Fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
    Proficient on MS Excel, Word and Power Point at user level.

    Job purpose:
    The main purpose of this position is to provide high-level grants management and administration to achieve project goals, working with partner organizations of all levels. S/he provides overall leadership and oversight for all aspects related to management of grants and contracts. This requires close collaboration with Pact HQ to ensure compliance with Pact and funder guidelines.     Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to the grants team.

    Refine the design of the program M&E system, clearly identifying the users and the utility of the data/information
    Refine M&E indicators and adapt M&E tools to meet program needs, which may include pre- and post-tests, focus group interview protocols, community survey tools, and baseline, mid-term, and end-line survey instruments
    Oversee and directly contribute to the development and use of the M&E system and tools to ensure the project’s ability to collect, interpret and aggregate data that track tangible, measurable progress toward project results
    Develop and support the design and implementation of end of project evaluations, surveys and other components of the program M&E system

    Roles

    Responsible for management of day to day operations and efficient coordination of nutrition program activities in MSF CH catchment area.

    Programme Overview
    “RE-INVENT is a £20m 5-year programme that aims to enhance Kenyan capacity and capability to address inter-communal conflict, weak community- police relations, violence against women and girls (VAWG), violent extremism and election related violence. It will support the continued advancement of police reforms to improve the management, oversight and accountability of the police force.
    The programme will aim to deliver a reduction in conflict and violence through improvements in responses to violent incidents and crime, including VAWG. The geographical focus will be in priority northern/coastal counties. It will also support DFID’s portfolio in northern/coastal regions with conflict analysis to inform the targeting of wider development programmes to better address long term conflict drivers.”
    The programme will build Kenyan capacity and capability at national, county and local levels for a more integrated approach to tackling five types of inter-related violence: inter- communal conflict, criminal violence, violence against women and girls, violent extremism and election violence.
    The programme will provide strategic support to police reform as a core intervention in order to improve police engagement with citizens and police effectiveness in tackling insecurity, conflict, violence against women and girls and countering violent extremism. Towards 2022 it will aim to contributing to a peaceful general election.
    The programme will therefore support a number of inter-related work streams:

    Police reform
    Tackling violence against women and girls
    Peacebuilding to address inter-communal conflict
