    Remuneration Analyst

    About the job:
    As a Remuneration Analyst you are required to conduct a salary study and market analysis in order to obtain better insight into common market practices in MSF mission countries. The analyst will conduct the salary study in the requested location(s) of a defined reference market by contacting various actors from the NGO, private and public sector. The survey is a thorough analysis of the market trends and practices on all elements concerning the employer-employee contractual relationship and requires detailed consideration of these. Undertaking such an analysis requires understanding the local labour law, practices that are considered common law, and the political and cultural variables that may affect the labour market. The study also assesses the cost of living via a secondary Monthly Household Expenditures Survey by collecting average familial expenses required to maintain a decent standard of living.
    Responsibilities:
    Administration

    Present the process of the salary study to all coordination teams, ensuring confidentiality and impartiality
    Identify and select relevant functions to be compared in the survey with support from the Field HR and Benchmark Coordination Teams
    Identify and select comparator organisations in each benchmarking location with the support from the Field and Benchmark Coordination Teams
    Write and deliver invitations and introductions to, and explanations of the study
    Present case for participation to organisations, enterprises, public sector institutions
    Organise and schedule interviews
    Regular updates to the stakeholders

    Analysis and Reporting

    Collect primary data on compensation and benefits from comparators according to MSF methodology
    Ensure methodological integrity in sample size and data completeness
    Input quantitative and qualitative data both appropriately and consistently into a database
    Conduct interviews and research on cost of living and living wage indicators
    Conduct in-depth research of the local labour market and legal context to obtain secondary data
    Analyse collected primary and secondary data with the support of the line manager
    Use available tools to write a final internal report for MSF before departure from the field
    Write a comprehensive public version of the final report for external use amongst comparators

    Remuneration Analysts are responsible for representing MSF to external organisations and businesses, acting in accordance with MSF principles and behavioural commitments. Trainings on benchmarking working procedures and tools are provided before departure.
    Qualifications:

    OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
    The MSF EA Rewards Specialist will review the current rewards framework, Grading policy (based on Hay methodology) and develop new Policy for management and maintenance in the long term. They will develop and implement short and long-term measures through Policy & guidelines, that will address rewards & compensation needs, ensure a transparent grading process and framework that identifies with the Section set up.
    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
    Short term economic analysis/review

    Analyse the benchmark report (s), economic trends and data based on current context and information to make proposals for short term adjustments and review. 
    Propose a framework to be implemented for the Section aligned to the local and Global needs.

    Rewards Policy development

    Carry out engagement with staff, stake holders and actors towards development of Key policy changes.
    Propose and deliver policy and guideline for the section that meets local context and is aligned with current and future trends in MSF and globally.
    Provide tools, guidelines and procedures that would provide structure to the maintenance of the Rewards system/policy.
    Provide input to the ERP/HRIS (Odoo) based on the policy & guidelines developed in order to ensure systems are adapted.  

    MSF EA Grading Framework
    Review and development of the Grading Framework.

    Engage staff/stake holders for input & feedback.
    Review and develop the Function structure & profiles for the Section set up. 
    Producing guidelines and tools to support the implementation of the Global Grading Framework.
    Propose a Support and maintenance structure/framework for the Section to oversee the management of the Job grading system.

    Support & maintenance

    Support dialogue amongst MSF entities and strengthen cooperation/interaction with movement on issues related to job evaluation.
    Support Section HR technical team & hiring managers in their role on taking informed decisions on Job Grading.
    Provide training and technical support to HR staff involved in the management/maintenance process. 
    Provide tools, guidelines and procedures that would provide structure to the maintenance process.

    PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

    Significant experience of working in an HR role, specifically on rewards & compensation area. Experience working with Hay and other grading methodology/tools is an advantage.

    Objective of the Position:
    Carrying out all activities involving social support to individual beneficiaries and linking them with other relevant support services and communities at large, according to MSF principles and guidelines. Enhancing the target population’s social condition to have an impact on health-related outcomes.
    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Conducting social assessments, identifying the social support needs of beneficiaries, including legal, protection, shelter/housing, financial/vocational, food security, and access to medical and psychosocial support services.

    Main Purpose

    Carry out assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and documentation through conducting psychological assessment of mental health patients.
    Providing psychological support and psychotherapy sessions (individual, family, group) to patients according to MSF protocols in order to improve their mental health outcomes.
    Conducting psychoeducation to patients and caregivers on illness symptoms, treatment and drug adherence. Conduct follow-up and referral of patients to other health professionals whenever necessary, for holistic care and to improve the patient outcomes.

    Specific Accountabilities

    Assist in training PSEC nurses and other relevant staff on PFA and other relevant mental health topics.

    Asses and offer psychotherapy to patients on follow-up in the mental health program.

    Main Purpose

    Accountabilities

Ensuring appropriate assistance to the project response team and if required, participating in emergency activities or exploratory visits
    Supporting the Watsan Manager in the team planning (e.g. staff rosters and admin, HR processes, etc.) and informing and involving the Watsan Manager in case of any major management or technical issue, and providing all required reporting
    Planning and supervising the HR processes (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, tasks definition and internal and external communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required for the activity

    Main Purpose:

    Monitoring & Evaluation

    In collaboration with the M&E team, support project for the establishment of mechanisms for collecting relevant data to their established indicators. Also participate in program review activities and provide adequate recommendations.
    Support project staff in the adequate documentation and dissemination of program results and lessons learned including the development and submission of abstracts and articles to scientific journals and conferences.
    The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a health-related field is required.Training in Monitoring and Evaluation. S/he should have atleast six (6) years experience in international public health with a focus on strengthening health, pharmaceutical and pharmacovigilance systems in developing countries.
    In addition, s/he should have specialized training and/or practical experience related to infection control, including at the health facility level, and other areas of AMR containment such as WASH and antimicrobial stewardship. Experience in monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage.
    Experience with programs supported by bilateral agencies such as USAID, CDC and international agencies such as the Global Fund, UNITAID, WHO and World Bank highly preferred.
    In addition, s/he should have proficiency in English is required, languages of other USAID-supported countries is an added advantage. S/he should have ability to write lucid technical reports and documents and to make presentations. Strong computer skills, competence in use of word processing programs is required, and experience with spreadsheets and database applications strongly preferred. Excellent writing and presentation skills in English are essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team spirit.
