    Ensure that IMS going on their first mission are placed for the MSF preparatory training.

    Qualifications

    Education

    Objective of the Position:

    Performing autonomously and following up, the maintenance and correct repair of the bio-med equipment and electrical and other energy systems in the project/mission and ensuring regularly that the usual medical maintenance and cleaning are done properly according to MSF standards and procedures, in order to ensure the equipment and installations are in perfect running condition.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    Carrying out critical rehabilitation tasks and corrective maintenance interventions and the coordination and execution of required tasks as well as installation of needed electrical equipment as defined by each project.
    Elaborating the necessary documentation for carrying out energy installations projects (plans, list of materials, etc.)
    Carrying out and updating the electrical installations inventory in MSF missions’ facilities and performing annual maintenance procedures and safety checks across facilities in the project. Executing any needed tests after any repair or maintenance.
    Identifying local technical actors, and organizing their participation in the project (training of technical staff, establishing relations with local companies, contractors and suppliers, quotations, contracts, etc.)
    Making suggestions regarding any repair or maintenance work needed in MSF electrical installations and equipment and assisting logistics department with any urgent support/advice or any relative work needed
    Managing the stock of consumable items related to electrical installation, repairs, and maintenance, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, executing orders necessary for renewing stock, avoiding any shortage
    Responsible for the equipment and tools (including extinguishers), checking they are correctly and safely used, maintaining, and renewing them when necessary and keeping the inventory updated.

    About the role:
    This position will support the pest and disease diagnostics of root and tuber crops of various projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening seed value chains, quality control to improve farmers’ access to high-quality seeds, and increasing the productivity of root and tuber crops in Africa.     Undertake training and capacity building of stakeholders in the target area on pest and disease (PCN, Ralstonia and viruses) diagnostics of root and tuber crops using ELISA, PCR, LAMP assay, microscopy and morphological diagnostic methods

    Main Purpose
    Provide MSF project with a socio-anthropological analysis and understanding of local, socio-cultural determinants such as perception of health and illness and health seeking behavior in order to improve medical activities.     Pact, Inc. seeks an experienced Communications Manager for the USAID-funded Strengthening Youth and Women’s Civic Participation Program, focused on Sudan. The Project aims to increase collaboration, sustainability, and resilience of Sudanese civil society and independent media to advance the inclusion, participation, and leadership of youth and women in Sudan.     The Communications Manager is a senior member of the team responsible for overall communication and knowledge management related to the program. The successful candidate will support the project manager with ensuring that all communications requirements set by the donor and Pact are fulfilled completely.

    Key Responsibilities
    Internal Communications Management:

    Coordinate and facilitate the development of program reports, specifically the quarterly and annual reports to USAID.
    Work with the program team to develop program presentations, briefs, success stories, and best practices for Pact, USAID, and other audiences.
    Support staff with developing presentations, videos, and audio materials where necessary.
